For picking up my badge (I preregistered), do I need to bring my actual passport?- Or can i bring a picture/copy/scanned image of it?  My dad's not comfortable with bringing my passport. ^^;

First time at Fanime, and the last convention I went to was my first. It was super tiny (AOD in San Fran) and didn't have a ball.

So my two questions:


For the most part, I'm a sneakers/bare foot type of girl, but my mom and I came across a pair of heels that were comfortable and pretty easy to wear, and she urged me to get them. We also bought a pair of flats. I'm planning to wear the heels, but if I end up being super uncomfortable in the heels, I was wondering if I could change out into the flats? As in leave the dance and come back? I assume this would be fine, but I'm making sure in advance. P:


And also, the schedule makes the b&w ball sound uber formal. I understand a good part of it with be for waltz, foxtrot, tango dances, but will some/most of it be dance music?- Or is it all formal? :O

I'm new to Fanime, so I have a few questions about registration..

-I'm being driven down from sf to sj by my dad, and my friend is coming along also. I have a pre-reg, and reading over the FAQ on the Fanime registration, it stated that I have to have a valid, state-issued I.D. I'm 14, but I do have a passport I can bring for proof that I'm.. me. But what I also read was that I need a parent, or person over 18, to come along with me to register? I have my dad, but he isn't going to be registered. Is that ok?


-Because of school, I can't come to Fanime until the evening of Friday. What are the times of picking up badges for that day; will I be able to pick it up around 5-6:00-ish?

Being a genuine noob to Fanime (and cons in general), I have a few questions about the swap meet. :)


1.) How does it exactly go on? Like.. Do you sign up for it, and then get assigned to a table/half a table type process.. Or is it something like a big room where people claim their territory and lay out the things they're selling?




And 2.)

I've heard of people selling Wii's, and other things that aren't directly Anime/Video game related (Wait. Nevermind. Wii's are kind of.)  But just to make sure, would things like mp3 players and rollerblade type things be sold? Or is that just too much like a garage sale? :/ (Two random things.. But things along those lines.)
