I simply emailed Fanime Housing and I got the response within 24 hours. You can either call or email them.

Have a reservation for the Hilton, but for Friday to Monday, and I am waitlisted for Thursday. We shall see how this rolls out.

Anybody notice that the site -technically- opened before 12 noon, by the way? Like..about 11:55?

I did.

Will there be a wait list for Thursday, May 24th for the Hilton? It looks like that one is already sold out before the launch. If there is, I would like to be on it please. Thank you!

Does anyone know what time the pre-reg badge pickup ends?
Our train doesn't arrive until 8:50pm. I highly doubt they're still going to be open at 9pm, but I was just curious.

From what I remember last year's time, it was until 8pm.

I've been in both the Hilton and Marriott in the past and these past few years, I've stayed at the Hilton the most. The staffs are nice and I didn't have any problem with any situation of noise and such since I stayed on the 3rd floor which I personally requested for. For a double room, the rate was around $115 and I stayed from Thursday to Monday which comes about $450 and that's without parking. Last year, the Hilton didn't charge us for parking at all for the weekend so it save us a lot of money even though they finally made their parking half off.

This is awesome. My friends and I are going from both Den-O and W series. We were W/Double last year. We're in~
Did you guys have a suit or were you cosplaying Phillip and Shotaro? I honestly want to make a W Joker cosplay, but that all depends on time, money, and my own skill.

We were Philip and Shoutarou. Philip was playing the violin on Sunday too.

We are actually have about 6 people doing Den-O which all are Imagin!Ryoutarous and Denbu!Yuuto. As for W (only 5 people), it will be Chief, Akiko, Shoutarou, Philip, and Terui.

Hello everyone! This would be an interesting gathering we'll have for Fanime 2012! Not only anime and video games we can cosplay as, but we can also cosplay as idols too. Not only that, they have done live action and voice acting before so it's appropriate to have a gathering.

Moreso, it can be any costumes as long we know where it's from. For example, I dressed up as Uta no Oniisan and Monster PV outfit of Ohno Satoshi (Arashi) last year.  Let's have fun!

Please give suggestions where we can hold this and the day too! Thank you!

Day: TBA
Time: 12:30PM
Location: TBA

Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering/Event this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

I like to see Shokotan again. As for other guests, I want to Higuri You and few other seiyuus like Kamiya Hiroshi and Romi Paku.

And I'll also suggest Arashi. Hey, nobody's mentioned in the thread that it had to be possible. :B

Good suggestion on Arashi, but bringing them here requires more funds that Fanime needs AND security due to their popularity. Not even the SJ convention center is big enough to hold a very huge crowd given the fact how much they can bring to their concert alone.

I would like to see Yuya Matsushita to come back again. His performances was great!

The Hilton does this too and I am waiting for them to drop that deposit off of my friend's card since I underestimate their deposit charges. At check-out, I used my card to pay so I assumed that they already drop it.

=( I feel so bad that she can't use her card until it is gone.

Hotel Name: Hilton
Would You Book Next Year: Definitely Yes.

Pros: Half priced parking! (though they didn't charge us at all throughout the weekend) Mini-fridge. Starbucks. Very easy check-in and check-out. Pool and spa.

Cons: The mini-fridge in our room took so long to cool our drinks. Their big bathroom doors swing wide and no hang bars to hang anything. Our TV didn't want to connect to my laptop when I had all the cables.

Special Notes to Share: Very accommodating when I asked for the 3rd floor. I have a friend who has a very bad knee so she can't walk up the stairs too much.

I used the stairs based on the situation too such as bags of food or walking in boots for long hours. =( More importantly, I have a fear of stairs so yeah...

I have the FAQ and did swap meet before, but I do have a question for Thursday. I know it states that sellers need their badge and we have to be in line by 5pm. However, depending on how long the line is for preregister and what the hours are, is it possible that I can have a friend stay in line for me? I am the main leader for the group badge so I need to pick them up.

Thank you.

Ideas and Suggestions / Re: Raise Money for Japan
March 17, 2011, 11:18:06 AM
I know that there are fandoms are joining in the helping of raising donations to help out. I know there's a community on LJ are doing a huge garage sale fundraiser that started out as a single fandom like Arashi and it grew to have all fandoms come together as one.

There is even a direct donation to Japanese Red Cross on Google too. I don't mind to whatever amount I sold at Swap Meet, I'll donate it all to it.

ID is for attendees who have preregistered online. You don't need so when doing at the con. They will have the prices up when the con gets closer like around May.

I updated the first post with the date and time. I am going to try and compile the names by end of February. Hopefully, I can get it done, but I will try to post up Cosplay.com thread on first post too. Do you have the link for it?

If you look a couple posts back, I have begun to compile the names for you.  That list is 100% complete so far for everyon on cos.com, but it is missing some people from this forum....will work on that now.  Should make your life infinately easier.  Will post a note to let you know when I've finished.

*bows* Thank you so much for doing this!

^_^

(PS, has the time been officially submitted to B yet?  I'm asking mostly so I can start ironing out my own plans -- yes, this Hungary is OCD enough to possibly be Germany ...)

Got it. I just PM'd B a moment ago about the time slot since we get first dips on the times since we were a huge group from last year. Thank you for reminding me. *bows*
