Was great performing for you all again and very cool seeing all those new faces at the Dance this year.
Major thanks to the Rovers for helping out, you guys are amazing and we really appreciate the help from you guys that were there every night.  An of course special thanks to Gary, Jason and Ali for having us out again and we were extremely loving the the layout and sound (OMG THANK YOU SOUND GUYS TOO!).

So I didn't get a real chance to check out the two dances (upstairs and downstairs) anyone care to compare and contrast the two?

Wow you missed a lot heh.  One was Hip-Hop(downstairs) and the other wassssssssssssssss hmmmm.. Everything else(upstairs)*shrugs*
I was all over the place in my set in the main room, some did Euro and Break etc etc.  So yeah, sorry- but you missed a lot.

-Dance class for ParaPara madness (an possibly other Electronic music styles).

it be nice to have a workshop for electronica Dance style.  something basic and short that people can add on to themselves when the real thing ges down.  Also get some of that ParaPara magic in there too, btw there were these 3 girls Sunday or Saturday night up front doing some ot that an it was crazy!  I'd do a work shop for that for sure so I can keep up with the ladies.

I saw cameras galore of cameras during the 3 days of dance.  Plus all the DJs had their cams blazing from stage-side like rifles at the crowd and cosplayers in the hall.  I was hit up quite a few times all day Tuesday for what I have but I'm start this off with the ones I took with continious shots of the insane lights.  They aren't much, I shot em all from the stage and near the entrance..  Anywho I am too tired to post up each link so peep the myspace for em on page 13 in the con section>>  http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.editAlbumPhotos&albumID=924145&page=13  (migh need to log in to peep em)

The dance was great. I only went on sunday, and the music was awesome (so was the view *COUGH* ;D). I was the dude with the green glowstick glasses.

The only problem was, there weren't enough people on the dance floor.

one of our guys from random DJs couldn't make it because he was doing a Eastern con the same time Fanime was going on.  DJ.Amaya originally mixed the Sailor Moon track and I played it for his fans and the millions-AND THE MILLIONS of the Sailor Scouts (and underage girls that asked us to play something like it).

I could be wrong but the confusion probably came up when you might of glanced at the Masquerade Ball/Black & White Ball's "policy" written somewhere..  The enforced dress code for that particular muisc/dance venue might of categorized any other music/dance events as "casual" ..though I can't figure out where the regular Dance is called Casual dance but I can understand the term used to describe it with the "randomness" of genres featured.  It wasn't a Rave..  but a dance event which some who don't attend think its a mindless Rave or School Dance (gag) -uhh no lol.  The dancing aspect of the convention world has gotten so huge that it qualifies as a Dance Cub really.  Also a dating service for the rest of you lol j/kj/k.  Anyways hope that helps clear things up, its one of many Major social events that this con has I'd say, maybe you guys can come up with a new name for it next year or something.

Random is what we do to keep EVERYONE entertained, if I had my way I'd stick to one style.. downside is that we'd loose the crowd if we only kept 25% of crowd happy (we stole B&B's clicker :P  but only a rough count as it wasn't consistent).
Glad you all liked the Sailor Moon mix, Mortal Kombat, BEPs, Aoki, Samberg (lol) and even all those 80s beats(originals) and remixes we all did.  Fanime crowd showed me last year that you guys are a dancing crowd that wants to something dance to something realistic with some here and there classic favorites from all walks of life.  That right there is what made my whole weekend this year was that you all were into everything we threw out you left an right to keep you guys moving.
We got some photos + vids compilations we did from our point of view that we'll be posting up very soon.  Also we aren't greedy so if you heard something you liked, just ask us if you haven't started already and we'll throw you some links or tell you where to get it for yourselves.

Yeah i'm sorry to those that couldn't handle the strobes lol, its was a storm in there every time I got going on the lighting effects for the other DJs.

so much for "dance-able" music eh heheh...
gotta look at it as though everyone wants to have a good time vs a few people an what they wanna hear...  That why Ball Room and Dance are split... be kinda weird and god forbid some one would complain if we played some old timey ball room style music during dance right...  Its just the same as putting another genre in there the throws the balance off.

The folks that were there EVERY night...  they're our witness that that crowd was huge consistantly for everything we played.
If the crowd was shifting towards another style so suddenly, as a DJ you should be able to over come and adapt.  Never the less there were some rock and Hip-Hop played... or should I say mixed in damn well.  Kid Whatever supplied alot of the J Beats which were also easy to dance to for everyone.  Now for some reason the crowd shifted to Waltz... guess we'd have to play waltz right?  Lucky us that packed room with a line outside waiting to get in liked electronica and such.
crowd that size has to be treated like guests at the club.

but whatever right, least every had fun and dam you all up north are some amzing dancers.

there was quite a few J-Rock remixes, among J-Pop and even K-Pop...  Mel B was jam'n some awesome Hip-Hop beats with some classic house..
Sorry folks didn't hear it, but big shout out to EVERYONE that hung out with us all night long.  Got to meet a lot of folks and hear about the city and talk about the con and passed events.  Very Educational! (Golden Boy reference!)
We usually play the "slow stuff" early to build up to a fast pace, so we don't bore the whole world and we keep folks jump'n all hours of the night with our raw live mixes.
Stormy, Reign & Kid Whatever.. you guys were sick all day long man.  Demi Child and Dane O are an unbeatable team to mixing back an forth  live...most impressive guys.
By far this con and its crowd was our favorite to play for or just be there, my crew and an awesome time and will be back again.

Well once again a reminder our area will also be a lounge area to kick it and hang out and or relax while we play ya some tunes.. so theres a thought for one.   Another idea is to join in our "random" music games where we test you otakus to guess THE most common heard songs in anime or anime related games to!  And if you're not much of a music guru, we have an Otaku Street Smarts!  Whereyou're put up against fellow anime fan boys and girls in trying to answer our easy trival questions about classic and current anime... maybe too easy...maybe not?

And this wasn't on our original agenda, but some of you who have seen Random DJs and...? Random Ninjas compete in a Yakuza op Ramen eating contest...   Well I'm bring it back!  Random DJs will battle anyone to a Team Battle Royal Yakuza Top Ramen challenge (3 on 3).  But ya gotta swing by to find out when an where and what the fantastic prize(s) for that straight from RDDJ-POISON.
