Anyone interested in doing a Bakemonogatari (and all other "-gatari" shows) for 2013? Looks like people have suggested it before and it never went anywhere. I would love such a gathering though, it's one of my favorite animes. What do you think?

+ Introduction: Hey, I'm a 26 year old lady, been to three other Fanimes and multiple other conventions throughout the Bay Area. I really like cosplaying, and the whole convention atmosphere. I love meeting new people, and am friendly and responsible!
+ Hotel Information: I really want to get a room at Hilton or Marriott, and most likely won't be there Thursday night, but I don't mind paying for the extra night if that is required.
+ Requirements: I would prefer being in a girl only room, but it doesn't matter to me too much. I do not want to be the only girl in a room though, that is too uncomfortable for me!

+ Miscellaneous: I don't care about sleeping arrangements, don't mind sleeping on the floor either. I would just like a place that is reasonably priced. Cheaper the better!

What's the condition of the manga books (Sayonara and Yotsuba)? Are you able to do pickups at Fanime?

It's so good to have you! My friend who wanted to do the same cosplay has recently found out she can't go! :( I am so glad someone else is interested! Hope fully we will get more people!

I typically don't make costumes, as I rather buy them. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a cosplay of Vanitas from Kingdom Hearts?

I would check out the marketplace on cosplay.com cause people are always selling gently used cosplays, especially from Kingdom Hearts. If you are lucky you might find something on a deal! If not, there are also ads on that site to get a commissioned cosplay. Good luck!

Do you guys need a Princess Celestia or Princess Luna?

State ID's are about $25 and it might seem like a waste of money now, but I have a license and an ID, and keep them in separate spots. When my purse was stolen, still having an ID made life so much easier!

You can get help for free you know. My boyfriend, on the verge of death (sorta), was able to have all his care paid for because he couldn't pay himself. They can't refuse you because you can't pay, although depending on the money situation, they could make you refinance the house.

Also, you can negotiate the cost of the surgery if you are unable to pay, or break it up into payments. $10k sounds like a lot, but it isn't too bad. If your friend wants, she could even get a job and help out with the payments. There are a lot of options, just start asking questions.
