I have a question. i signed up the first day we were able to do speed dating. conformation email that said i am in the data base and has the selected dates and yes on the day i wanted. Looking on the forums it said another email should of been sent out. Should i go with the one i got the first day i signed up for it or should i get another in an email?

There was suppose to be another email that said that you were confirmed for that day. The one you got was simply saying that they received your request for that day.

I'm so sad.... yesterday my group leader couldn't get it cause he had work and the lines were super down and today we tried but he got off work late. This fanime i feel is so sad for me :(

That sucks. Yeah this year seems really unorganized for some reason. Mostly thanks to that power outage.

Cant fall asleep still at home i got a bunch of stuff at the mall today hopefully everyone finds eachother tommorrow...im going to be wearing my outfit from the rave..so ill try to snatch a sweatshirt ill only have my key and id with me mostly..Gaah need to sleep x.x

Sleep is for the week... I kid. Hopefully everyone can get their badges today and we get to meet up later. I really hope to be able to do some stuff today. Haha

I hope that everyone was able to find everyone else okay. Hopefully tmr nights hangout won't be as confusing :)

All I know is that they decided to boot us from the area because they were going to bring people into the area for the registrations.

I'm german, male, just turned 26, do AMVs and this is my first FanimeCon, plus the first con I'll be attending on my own without friends, who are, well, mostly back in Germany :)

Would love to hang out and meet new people if it's not too late. I'll be around on Sat and Sun.

Yeah, feel free to join us. Well will be meeting again in the karaoke room every night around 10pm.

If we plan on meeting on the other days at 10 pm in the karaoke room, I'm all good with that.

I think the time thing would work out fine, but if the location seems to be a problem for some people, we can figure out another location, but I think this one would be fine.

I think for Friday, after 10pm would be the best thing.

As mentioned, all Confirmation Emails with registered attendee's specific times and dates have been sent out LAST NIGHT. If you did not receive a separate email last night confirming your SPECIFIC time and date, then all our spots have been filled up and we could not place you in a time slot. We place attendees in time slots based on preferences for date and times on a first-come, first-served basis. We never stated that there were a lot of seats left. Actually to the contrary, we kept saying that this is a popular event with an overwhelming amount of requests. Hoping to expand next year with your supports!

If you think you received a confirmation email last night but missed it, please check your Spam folder and Trash folder. If you deleted it, it should still exist in your Trash folder or somewhere in your email (unless you completely wiped out your email).

We encourage you all to still drop by our Speed Dating events and wait in line if you're really gun-ho about it! Best of luck :)

That saddens me that I did not get a confirmation email. Well then, I hope that I can then get in at the door then on one of the non-LGBT days.

Well, we already have a place and time set for on Thursday, the Marriott second floor at 8pm. As for Friday, we are still trying to figure that out, but probably won't have an exact set time or location set for Friday until we know what the con schedule is... :(

^^ So what is everyone going to do? XD just stand around and say hi to eachother? XD

Well, we will start with introductions, then chat for a bit, find out what everyone is going to do at the con and such while we wait for the stragglers to make it to the meet up spot, then some people are probably going to go get some food, other might get some drinks.

We could also see if any of our agenda for the weekend match up. Then we will have a buddy for that event. ;D

Sounds good to me. I know one thing I am doing on Saturday, with no fail, is going to the Gaia panel. Anyone else going to that?
