Thank you for being equally transparent. The con badge setup has never been overly flexible, but this year, in my situation, a $30 savings is more than enough to fight for. Well, it is what it is.

I'm a broke bastard with little free time so I plan on showing up Friday to get a single day "at con" badge just for swap.

Unfortunately, that will not work out for this year:
Do I have to preregister for FanimeCon as part of Swap Meet?
Yes, preregistering for Fanime is a requirement in order to secure a space at the Swap Meet. You must have a valid FanimeCon 2013 attendee membership to sell at Swap Meet. Those without a 2013 attendee badge may inquire about a space at swapmeetATfanimeDOTcom.

You can email, but that is for other inquiries. The bottom line is that a full weekend membership must be purchased. Sorry!

I saw that. It was exactly like that last year, I only had to be preregistered on the main site. I believe it had to do with how you registered on the swap meet site for a spot or something. I had an unpaid account and I was allowed to go and pickup a badge the day of. Perhaps I found a loophole, but I did follow through and emailed last year about it and was given the OK. So, unless you are telling me now, and not just quoting verbatim, as in you actually know first hand, that my scheme won't play out in my favor this year. I will attempt to hold out till the last minute to try and save some money and prevent buying an overly useless full weekend badge for someone only going Friday.

I'd love an significant update with actual content before they close con registration on the night of the 12th. I'm a broke bastard with little free time so I plan on showing up Friday to get a single day "at con" badge just for swap. This worked out pretty well last year, as from what I remember, they had the swap meet reg up hella early so I at least knew I had a spot and wasn't wasting what little time I had checking back multiple times every day down to the wire to find out if there is even a reason to take time off to even attend the con itself.

To be completely transparent, what I'm getting at is, I am only attending this year to sell my shit. I will sell that shit out of the back of my truck in a shady parking lot around the corner if it comes to it. One way or another, I need to get it out of here. So please, help a son out so I don't have to end up doing that.

I appreciate you setting this up, working on the back end, or whatever it is that needs to be done for this event, and I hate to be so blunt but I've been waiting on you since the 22nd of last month to throw out some news so I can get the ball rolling.

lol what a troll.

Shut up

You think you were right? I am just sure the people who wanted it already owned it so of course they are not going to say they would buy it. It's already in their possession! HA!

By the way you have to many posts, you should work on that.

lol, what if we put just the fansubs up for free without the episodes and then have everyone by imports and kill off the market once and for all?

If this poster were available and fairly cheap, would you buy it if you came across it and had enough money to spare?

Damn, I have a red eye tomorrow but I am all down for talking shit about people for a few hours beforehand.

Also someone bring a laptop and we can all gather around and watch Seikon no Qwaser instead of a movie.

Oh and if you do watch a movie, do me a favor and watch it before 3pm

I'm sure I already mentioned this at one point but I have a life size cardboard pop-up stand of Roy Mustang that I can pull out to really blend in with the crowd.

Wut. No, I mean sticks as in nouns, not verb.

Oh, just some $8 padded garage mounting hooks from home depot. . .

I like how your walls are like 90% Type-Moon and then everything else is jammed on the ceilings.

Nah, I failed, there is Type-Moon shit on the ceiling as well.

. . .by the way, all that Type-Moon stuff is a red herring, I really rep Leaf Nitro+ but I wanted to fit in like everyone else so I started buying Type-Moon stuff to be cool.

Are you some sort of Type-Moon faggot?

Hey, I may be a fag, but. . .well then. . .I guess I am, yes.

Nice stuff there. I am particularly liking the Yume Miru Kusuri poster on your ceiling. By the way, what are you using to hold up your sticks like that on the wall? :|

poster covers and mounting tape.

EDIT AGAIN: yes, you have it... I had to look for it.

You're probably referring to the trading figure version that I have, it's the same thing except not upscaled to 1/8 but it is just as hideous as every other Yujin figure to ever be created.

That chair has seen better days, though it is the most comfortable chair I have ever had the privilege of sitting in so I probably won't replace it until it breaks to the point of not being "chair shaped" anymore.

The Kaibutsu Oujo figure (well both of them as Hime came with Flandre) was about $10-15 added to the cost of a regular 1/8 PVC so like $65ish? As for the Arc figure. . .which one are you referring to? I have just about every single one except for the Alter one everyone else in the world has and the shitty Yujin one which was just an upscale of their trading figure version (which I have like 5 of so I figure why do I need one in a bigger size).

Alright Tsubasa finally triggered my flag so here is the arc that takes place in my room, don't bad end now:

First up is the four sides of my space, sans the closet:

Close up of Wall#1 (and part of wall#4) better known as the place where my mattress on the floor is located:

Close up of the corner of Wall#1 (now known a Hamburger Helper) and my door, AKA wall#2 (now known as Pepperidge Farms):

More of Pepperidge Farms:

Closeup of my dresser top next to wall#3 (now known as Farley's & Sathers) [oh and for reference the closet in on the left of this located at Pepperidge Farms]:

Closeup of the shit I bought when I had a job and Rightstuf had those 25 for $100 deals (shit that happens to take up my figure space) located on Farley's & Sathers:

The corner of Farley's & Sathers and Wall#4 (Now known as Kellogg):

The left and right ceiling of Kellogg:

The left and right ceiling of Pepperridge Farms:

My chair (Because j requested it like 5 months ago):

. . .and as a bonus, my little girl:

Well, that is about it besides some minor details that I am sure no one cares to look though, oh and don't be too jealous. . .

Oh and if anyone gives a shit, the guitar is a Ibanez Prestige custom and I have a amazingly sturdy but non maintained Squire bullet behind my jacket, shit lasted me for most of my life.

New posters are always cool. Especially when it's posters of something you really love.

j

WOW, SIR WHERE DID YOU GOT THOSE?!

It must have cost a bunch considering the one on the left is the Limited Edition First Press Promo Poster! Man shit is TOP! I wonder if my modest room will ever live up to everyone else's.

Let's leave the insults and semantics out and the keep the contributions coming guys. If there are errors, disagreements or whatever, just point it out. It's a good thread that people can add suggestions and comments to without the drama.

Tytania: First episode was kind of boring, predictable. I could see it getting epic, but the lack of focus on any characters in particular made it difficult to care much.

Hella going to rep this shit to the ground, though unlike you people, I will be watching this show raw and making up my own story.
