I do indeed exist~
I think most of them are local~
i'd expect 90% of them to be within 100 miles of san jose, if not 30 miles, which isn't necessarily a desirable distance for most, but more manageable than other states.

Nobody knows their Disneyland references :(

Can I go just to watch? ^^
If it's anything like last year, the participants will be in their own room limited to the participants and the people running the thing.

They'll be in their own room.

With no windows.

--and no doors.

and they have to find a way out.

I find it rather annoying when people blindly cosplay a character that they havent watched the relevant episodes or played the game that they are in. Although i think the more annoying thing is when people cosplay as a character that they only saw a part of the media in which they are in. ( like people cosplaying as someone from advent children without playing any of the ff7 games) I dunno, its just a peeve of mine.

As far as people being dragged into group cosplays, I think that they should at least be shown some of the more relevant parts of the character by the person dragging them into things.

I'm curious how many applicants there were for this.

Also, am I even on the waitlist? You said to resend the email if I had sent it prior to the 22 nd or whatever.

There were a lot of applicants!! I would say over 150 people applied. And its been open for such a short amount of time! Speed-dating is very popular :P

If you did not receive an email, assume that you are on the waiting list.

how many people are helping you with it?

Right now, one other person will be helping me at the event. I am currently doing all the sign-ups and stuff myself. :P I'm doing my best to keep this event organized and well-run, but this is my first year and the event was quite last minute. I hope it goes alright!

I feel compelled to help out next year.

Please do! I need help next year :P

I'll swing by the event at fanime and discuss this more there :3

For some reason I got two e-mails, one saying I was registered and another saying I was on the wait list.

Was the same thing sent to everyone on the wait list? Or did I accidentally apply twice (because I sent another e-mail after the address changed)?

E-mails were sent out already? D:

I didn't get any confirmation emails :(

and i sent them to both the speed-dating emails that the website provided.

I sent out the confirmation emails early this morning. If you applied sometime after 8 this morning, you did not get an email because I did not add your email to the waiting list yet. Assume that if you did not get an email, you are on the waiting list. If you did not get an email and you sent it earlier than today (May 22nd), please email me again.

I sent out my application back on the 19th to both emails that were provided on the website.

I forwarded it again to you though.

The guys parts filled up really fast. What a shame, I was really looking forward to it too...
Could be worse, i sent out my application first day and never got a confirmation or a wait list.

I sent mine of the first day too and didn't get confirmation (of being on the waitlist) until yesterday, i'm pretty sure they're just sorting through it right now. They probably got a lot of applications...
Well that certainly gives some solace to know.
