Rules and stuff:

-This thread will be closed once it hits number one.

-No particular order for this list

-You can not post more than once in a row. Please wait until someone posts a title after you.

-Don't forget the number next to you anime title (ie, 300. title here)

-Anime titles can include movies, oavs/ovas, onas, tv series, and official music videos.

-Post one title at a time. Exception is mentioned below.

-Honorable Mentions (HMs) will be allowed, but they must be related to the title you are posting (Example, if you put in a tv series, you can use a movie or two as HMs). You can subsequently post as many HMs as you want.

- Edit: Sequels and spinoffs must be listed as HMs next to the title you posted anyway.

I'd like to get some honest opinions. Does everyone think we can actually come up with 500 titles, or should I reduce the list to something a little more realistic, like 250? Or do we keep on going until we run out of steam?
I'll admit something: looking back, maybe 500 titles is/was a big number to aim for. I'm just saying this because I still wish to get the list itself presented in some way at FanimeCon 2011. The purpose of the list (to me, anyway) is to make anime fans reflect on what they have seen, and what they haven't.
EDIT: I don't mean to put pressure on anyone (and I might change one of the posting rules soon).

I dunno, I'm just going on and on and on and on.... :P

I think its worth the challenge and its good as people can see things they haven't watched appear in the list and check them out.

I'm already keeping track via Word documents. What I'm thinking of though is, I divide the final list into genres and categories, and then have a "Best of the Best" in the last 20 or something. It's kind of like your "Best of type idea." We'll see.
