ew. i hope those morons don't get jack sh!t. the guy complaining about being whole w/ a bloody nose and whatever else, i would kick you, then you'd probably end up sueing nike for manufacturing the shoes that assisted in the assault. :P

good times, good times.

Amber Wells of Charlotte says she's so thankful to have survived and to be with her 9-month-old daughter, Rayley, that she hasn't had time to think about her belongings.

She says she lost $2,000 of nursing equipment and a laptop computer, as well as a checked bag and a carry-on bag.

"Everything that's gone can be replaced," says Wells, 34, a senior manager for NASCAR. "My life cannot be replaced."

at least she gets it though

he was a fighter pilot in the air force apparently... not surprised he was able to remain so calm and collected - a lot of the pilots that i work with are under constant pressure and they gotta handle it well else things go boom. :)

nevertheless, yay u.s. airways dude! and damn you birds! (FYI, certain personnel that work on the flightline are trained to shoot at birds. LULZ.)

hmmm...center, like the person in the middle of the formation? dunno, having a strange time visualizing this. o_<

Dress center dress (or hut it it's an American mace or military DM) = look to the center person and align up with them.
Ready Front (or hut for A.M/Mil) look forward.

I have been looking for a decent example on youtube but have yet to find one.

Note: I teach drum line so we use squad ready set (or dress center)

Example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpJ-0vrQ4-M

note: that's also one of the two lines i teach  ^_^

OOOH, i see i see. yeah, my friend's in band and i'm in the air force; she says we use a lot of the same commands. i find it kinda cool. SO done with marching though, five months of that is good enough for me xD

yayyy sales (: i'm gonna be checking out the stores that are closing down, wo0t.
#14
and to think, not only are we losing those stores/products, thousands of people are getting laid off. X_x it's times like these i feel a bit of relief i'm in the service.

but foot locker, seriously though, was a bit of a shocker. i mean to think that nearly all of them if NOT all of them are closing down;  you'd think that they'd at least keep a few stores open in bay, especially with all the sneaker fiends in that area, aha.
#15
inorite? i don't know how well macy's is doing, but they were one of the last stores i'd expected to be out there. what store is in replacement of fashion bug and shoe pav now, btw? they took up hella space in that lil ol' area.

and victoria's secret... i just bought a bra from you guys, that should keep you another three weeks or so, expensive a-holes. lol j/k ilu stephanie =)

+ kids that say they are "I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEAN?!" uhhh if you live with your parents, eat your parents' food, have your parents pay for your bills, & don't have a job etc etc then no lol you're not independent sry. :D and i'm really not ragging on anyone that still does this, i mean my parents live halfway across the country, they don't pay for any of my necessities (car, rent, food, insurance, phone bill, school etc.) but i still enjoy the fact they're paying for my plane ticket for my birthday... harr
/tl;dr

Well, er, independence can describe several things for a person. A teenager living under their parents' household can still be described as independent as a personality trait, as in, capable of taking care of themselves and their own business to the extent that they're able to, but they wouldn't be legally independent.

yes, i'm aware of the different 'definitions' that, hence the latter part of that bullet point :P for further elaboration, i'm talking about the kids that are always like... "i got mah own cell phone. i'm independent 'cuz its MIIIIEEN", those that who think that just because they own a luxury, they can function in life perfectly without any help. yes yes? :)

Gaming / "the new xbox experience"
November 20, 2008, 07:50:16 AM
yay/nay?

i'm apathetic towards it right now, but the layout does kinda make me lol. a bunch of people have already downloaded the upgrade and made characters of themselves; it's kinda weird that they'd have more girl styles than guys though, considering what the ratio of males on females on x-box... oh well. wo0t

yay, people always find new ways to make me lol. :)

reminds me of this one time when this guy came to the premiere of  mr. and mrs. smith with an empty jar. he bottled the 'celebrity air' there and made a couple thousands bucks off of it on ebay. I LOVE STUPID PEOPLE WITH MONEY!

+ uh, snow. NO, go away ):

+ restaurants that jack up their prices for 'authentic' ethnic cuisine... wtf why i don't gotta problem against 'fake' chinese food or w/e but when you got the waitress serving me in a cowboy outfit AND your food tastes like dookie, something is wrong.
