I feel absolutly horrible, I promised cookies and stuff last year, but my costume got destoryed at the cleaners and my cookies burned.

TT.TT

I feel horrible and stuff. I'm really really sorry, forgive me?
What's to forgive? It's not your fault, you just had a string of really bad luck. T^T

I'm so sorry that your cosplay was ruined at the cleaners. Is there any hope of reviving it?

@ Yuu
You always crack me up  ;D

What's wrong with being 22 next year? I'm still shooting for 88 before I even consider giving up reading/watching manga/anime.  :D

No, not really. I mean, I can repress the hakama, but I need to remake the haori and stuff and junk.

But we'll likely crash the ninja gathering that this seems to be, and as long as no one minds etting their costumes wet or anything, we could have a water fight.

Not to be the proverbial wet blanket, but if you're doing this, I ask that you're very careful about both warning people before you start and making sure you limit the involvement -- including collateral damage -- to only those people who are willing.  There are a LOT of people out there whose costumes contain fabrics or other elements that could be severely damaged by water, and who I'm sure would be quite unhappy to get caught in crossfire.

That's why I said "As long as no one minds". Duh.

I'm not so completely careless as to destroy someones fun; If parties wish to be uninvolved then I will respect their wishes and keep to myself.

pishaw! The only reason my piratey group didn't come last year is because we got held up in our hotel by Captain Morgan.

It is a weakness for all pirates I must confess.

But we'll likely crash the ninja gathering that this seems to be, and as long as no one minds etting their costumes wet or anything, we could have a water fight.

water baloon 'shuriken' and water pistols and whatever else we can think up.

I'd like to say that just because a song says 'waltz' in the name, it doesn't mean it's a waltz. Also, the song 'Blue' by Effiel whatever the heck, is a good song for the Chacha and Single Lindy Swing. Shindemo Boogie Woogie by Miyavi is a good song for the Swing too, if a little fast. Le Tango de Roxanne from Moulin Rouge is a good tango song and it's fairly slow.

But I do have a question about which waltz is being taught, the progressive or the box step?

I swear to Holy...Okay, kawaii shukaku is not going anymore but there's the distinct possibility of three people replacing her.

aw that'd be really nice of you ^^ you havent missed much on the lunch meeting, we're still talking about it (have yet to decide where). i believe i put up an attendance list either on page 7 or page 8 for the lunch, so if you want to go to that let me know and ill add you ^^

It's so nice to know I can be added to the lunch list, it'd be kinda hurtful if I could cosplay and not bring cookies or nothin.

Okay, since you guys were talking about lunch and I missed a ton of post apparently, can I just make a bunch of cookies and pass them out? Or buy them if people don't feel okay with eating something a stranger made?

I like cookies.

This does have potential to work if you plan it out a bit better than you have thus far.

Like StrawberryNeko said, there's some minors attending, so you might want people to show an ID proving they are at least 17 (thats the official consensual age in most courts of California). Also, you may want to consider the information sharing after the talking, like they do with SD on tv. girls get cards, rate the guys (on things like cleanliness or whatever they want), if the rating is high there is info shared, simple.

you'd also have to decide which gender you would prefer to have seated and which you would prefer to move. I also recommend doing this later on in the day as to deter any younger kids or random spectators from watching like participants are in a zoo.

which we really are.

Nanao-chan! if that's alright. Being "El Random Medic" didn't work too well last time, but bedtime Shinigami did. Either way, I'd like to go as Nanao.

Turns out Kawaii can't go, she's saving up for a trip to Japan...lucky brat

Quite frankly, Turks get no respect. Therefore, I am suggesting a Turk exclusive gathering. Before Crisis Turks accepted and encouraged!

Quote from: MonkeyRikkuNO DIET SODA!!!

Trust me on this, but the fake sugar's in the soda and stuff are actually worse for losing weight because your brain thinks you're still eating sugar. and because it's diet, most people think they can have more which just turns it all into one big cluster &#*%$.

well i don't think he should drink soda anyway
but if he really wants one he can have a diet soda
also the "fake sugar" gets absorbed but doesn't get metabolized
and then goes into your blood stream where it will be filtered out by your kidneys

so really.. the sugar isn't being used at all. It becomes waste

but really.. try to stay away from the soda

to Lok: remember you kept eating salads at Subway?
maybe you can just prepare some salad for yourself everyday
and have chicken with it.
Sandwhich is great
stay away from too much pasta
and... what else do you eat.. that is a lot
oh yea
eat more of your Grandparent's cooking...

<3 love you!

I understand what you're saying about chemical reactions, but your brain is still recognizing it as real sugar, even if your body knows better. Your brain does some funky stuff, it's convinced my body that I'm allergic to apples. When I'm not! I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that we're both right, ya know?

On another note, drinking tea not only helps your immune system, it's makes you not as hungry as often. So when you get the munchies, tryi drinking some iced tea, and believe it or not, there are some very tasty non sweetened brands of tea...or if you're broke like most of us, just make a pitcher for the fridge.

as long as we don't go bulimic then everything should work out! right?

I'm just playing DDR more and switching to organic food. Mixing my scambled eggs half and half with Tofu (it's actually quite tasty). Avoiding Ice cream and Cereal and muffins...i have a muffin problem.

Mexican food is also quite bad along with Italian and anything with rice or pasta. But one of the actual best things to do when dieting, is just to eat a bit less. The human stomach is designed to hold enough food to fill your hands when they're cupped together, and you really don't need much more than that.

Avoid eating at night, especially salty/fatty foods. Your body retains the fat and whatnot because you don't expend it. Plus, eating before bed gives you odd dreams.  Now that I've ranted enough...have fun! ^_^

I'm good at that sort of thing.
