 Hey all, this message is for people who are both working for fanime or not working fanime preferably I need at least four people who want to be roommates to be in the room once registration goes up officially or otherwise ,  I posted a room before in the last couple years and depending on how many people we get we could have the pricing down to 20 bucks a night for each individual I'll cover the main costs the 20 bucks each is just reimburse me because it's really expensive but it will be at staff rate so that something .... Please message me and let me know what's up

I'm hoping for up to 2 more roommates.... depending on how long my current roomies plan on staying and if there are any more flakers coming...it's possible... 2 have already flaked and i'm not certain about the others....most likely's are three of us in a double so far.... so it could be cramped but room rate is 20 a night as a stipend for me - since i'm incurring all room charges... still interested?

Hi, Kelly here,i'm 22 and I'm in need of room - yeah, I realize it's pretty late in the game, but I was waiting for confirmations from people that never came through so... yeah, that was a waste. anyway, if anybody else is a staffer - in need of room, we can get a discounted staff room together (we need at least 4 people :/) but since this is looking grim, I'm also on the hunt for a general room. I'm neat, orderly, and down for some fun - however, I will be working 12 am shifts in anime programming, so i'll still need sleep

Hi, name's Kelly, went to Fanime last year, got a room had a blast staffing.
This year, I'm in a bit of a pickle: I either need to share a room with anyone who reserved a hotel, or start a staff room with some staffers.
I'm fairly orderly and polite. I work full time and go to school year-round, so I'm fairly responsible. That being said, I'm down for a party, but I'll be working 12 am- 8 am shifts, so I gotta sleep sometime. other than that... anything you wanna know, ask away. Looking forward to a fun Fanime this year.

Hi, I might be interested, how far is it from the convention center?

Room availability at the San Jose Garden Hotel.
I know the Fanime 2015 rooms were brutally massacred before most people actually got a hold of one,
so I'm just giving a temporary heads up that there's been some availability at the San Jose Garden Hotel for the past few days.
[I've been going back every now &then to check if it's still there.]
For anyone who needs it.

Have to say I'm a little surprised rooms are available without having to be on the waiting list.  Then again, most people were booking rooms at the farther hotels and then waitlisting for places like the Fairmont/Marriott.  Still, looks like a good deal if you haven't booked yet and don't want to pay out the nose for a room.  And actually, that kind of makes me wonder if people have been able to move up to the Fairmont/Hilton since it logically follows that after booking at the Garden Hotel and waitlisting for a closer place, that those individuals got their preferred rooms, and then cancelled their old reservations.  If that's true, I'm a bit shocked that so many were able to move up, but glad people got their preferred rooms.  Fanime really needs to use a different system for hotel booking in the future, though.  Think it's become quite clear that CMR simply can't handle it anymore with how much the convention has grown the last few years.  It shouldn't take 2 hours and a splitting headache just to hope that you'll get a good room.

I'm cool with partying, drinking, smoking. that's all good with me, but i don't smoke.. as long as you don't puff it right in my face, i'm good. also, i'm a little nervous meeting new people, bit shy at first, but once i get used to you i'll be cracking jokes and goofing off ^_^
