Alright ladies and gents, no movie deserves better viewing than at a IMAX theater! This is one of those movies!

There are two places that I know of that has IMAX. They are the Metreon in Downtown San Francisco and Regal in Dublin.

The choices are, which theater and what day?

Personally I think Metreon would be best because its easy access via BART and is within walking distance from the Powell St. BART Station. If anyone wants to see this in IMAX it is highly recommended that you purchase tickets online before it releases because this movie will indeed sell out!

Also if you guys have extra twiser mats, please bring them!! So we can get 4 mats and one huge game going!!! It'll be off the hook!

The trick here is that you DO NOT need to compete with the person making the huge angel in armor costume with the flufffy wings. You can just as easily make a Luffy costume (from one piece) by purchasing a red shirt, ripped-off jeans, a straw hat, and sandals... and still be able to compete and win the contest. You can make a basic Sakura dress (from Naruto) and still win the contest.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE AN AMAZING COSTUME MAKER. PERIOD.

The people with the amazing costumes are going to be competing in the craftsmanship contest. They will also be trying out for the peformance awards, but the performance awards are STRICTLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE (9 awards!). You could be wearing a bag over your head and wearing an anime-style potato sack and still win a performance award if your skit is funny, makes the audience laugh, and impresses the judges.

Please note that costumes purchased or rented from a costume shop, designer direct, eBay, Yahoo Auctions, Yahoo Japan Auctions, Cospa, any other costume store or online resource, or any costumes made for you by a designer or seamstress, are prohibited. Ignoring this rule will negate your eligibility (and your group's eligibility; even if only one person in the group has a disqualified costume) to participate in Masquerade and will also disqualify you for any performance and/or craftsmanship awards. Honesty is always the best policy; tell us if one person in your group made all the costumes. That person (as long as they are a member of your group) is still eligible for a Design Award (see the Awards section for more details). There are two notable exceptions to the "purchased or rented" policy:

Ok I'm using myself as an example, I'm gonna wear a RPD Uniform from Resident Evil in the masq, I bought the uniform but sewed on the patches, got a custom made badge, and home made insignias. I only wanna compete for the Performance Award, is my uniform going to disqualify me because my uniform was bought and modified?

As most of you know already, i am currently in the process of finding/getting a new job. what this means to you all is that you will not see me as often as you regularly do. Basically, it means this:

Until further notice, i will be gone from the boards, get-togethers, and the usual stuff. in laymans' terms, i'm gonna be "Missing in Action."

i will return. when that is; i don't know. it's all up to chance.

any and all questions that are posted here will remain unanswered until i come back.

All SnJ Gathering people: are you planning on going to the Naruto Gathering as SnJ characters? If so, I think the 1 PM time should work fine. (BTW, BART, have you told BSaphire of the decided time? Just checking ^__^)

If not... then maybe 2 PM is better.

I already submitted the time for 1:00PM on saturday to her, she'll update as soon as she gets back online.

Naruto Gathering

Saturday 1:00PM in front of the Convention Center

Alright, the deadline has been reached, the time for this gathering will be at 1:00PM at the front of the convention center. The votes from here & fanime's forums have been accounted for. I apologize for any inconvenience this may be for other cosplayers and other gahtering heads, take the time now to time your gatherings accordingly. Please note this is going to be a "HUGE" gathering and there will be no possibility of changing the time from this point on.

For the KH gathering attendees who are going to the KH gathering, gathering ends at 2:00, 2:30 being the latest. Thank you.

it seems like majority of the large gatherings (that being Naruto & KH) will be on saturday, it would be safe to play it safe and put this gathering on sunday leaving only two large gathering (mostly Bleach & expecting Ouran)

Would it be possible to have it at 2 PM, actually? x_x; I mean, I'm totally fine with 1, it just might be easier for me personally to have it at two because the SnJ gathering is going to be before this, and although there hasn't been a set time for that, it'd be great if there could be a longer break between these two. ^^'

If we can only get 1 PM though I'm still completely okay with it though. :]

It all depends on what people vote on, remember there's more people that desire 1 and or 2 as well as the host of the other gathering running it to the groups desire as well.

Ohh, this is just a random comment, but I'd like to note that there's also going to be a Sexy no Jutsu gathering run by YuffieK, and you may want to keep that in mind. I'm pretty sure it'll be going on a couple hours before the Naruto gathering so yeah. :]

i'm pretty sure Yuffie will be taking care of that gathering, unless they invade this gathering with a passion..

reason why I'm asking for a early meet up is because with the release of KH2 and falling on a saturday and seeing how huge it was at AX, its about to become apart of the big gatherings now. that's why i'll be running this gathering (on behalf of cosplay.com of course) and making my attempts at trying something new. hope it helps out =D
