A response! *cough*I'm not stalking this thread or anything*cough* Cool! I've been playing with ideas and taking notes to design a game and if there seems to be enough interest, I think we'll go through with it. Would anyone else be interested?

Hi everyone,

My roommate and I came up with an idea for a panel event! A real life escape the room game! (Think The Crimson Room: www.fasco-csc.com/works/crimson/crimson_e.php) I'd like to pitch the idea to everyone and gauge the level of interest. We're a bit apprehensive and would appreciate any feedback.

The premise:
A quick glance around the room reveals nothing out of the ordinary: a desk, a cupboard, some bookshelves, some decorative paintings, a few chairs and other various furniture. You try the door... And... It's locked. Use your wit and Macguyver skills to escape the room!

Logistics:
We'll lock up parties of 1-5 people at a time. You'll have 15 minutes to explore the room and piece together clues to escape the room. If you don't find the answer by then, you'll be released and we'll spend 5 minutes resetting the room for the next party.

Would there need to be a theme of sorts? Or a storyline, like ramen said?

Oh. And should they be in teams, or would it be individuals?

Oh I agree this would be a good idea. I'd be willing to help out too if needed. Maybe for the clues/puzzles, you can sometimes make them anime/manga related?

Oh. I think I'm interested in staffing or volunteering this time. I guess I'll go to the staff meeting on the 10th to check it out. Anyone coming from east bay? Oh also, what are the available departments?

Oh I'd like this! It sounds fun! You guys could have something like talking to boys exercises in the panel too? I'd love to help out too, if you guys needed help. I just don't think I'd be able to lecture or anything though.
