"Tournament sign-ups can only be shown the day of that tournament.  For example, you cannot sign up for a Sunday tournament on a Friday or Sunday."

Er...typo?

And it also says that tournament sign-ups for "ALL tournaments" start on Friday at 10AM.  I'm kind of confused.  :s

Soooo, lemme get this straight....

If I want to participate in a Friday event, I have to show up on Friday at 10AM and I can only sign up for events held on Friday.

If I want to participate in a Saturday event, I have to show up on Saturday at 10AM and can only sign up for events held on Saturday.  I will also be unable to sign up for Saturday events on Friday.

Did I get it right? o.o

I do not like the taste of squid or octopus. /gag/
Squid is delicious, but i have never tasted octopus..

I LOVE calamari!  I have tried octopus also, but it doesn't taste anywhere similar.  It might have just been the way the restaurant prepared it, but it was very bland and almost too chewy.

Anyone I played Ninja with this year. Though I didn't really talk to anyone except one, maybe you remember me? Maybe become  friends?

I usually played between 8-12am.

Some people I remembered were...

- A blonde girl, dressed in blue. Then the next day wore a beige/tan dress. She had a friend who would help her out.
- A white guy, who someone named Taichi. Ended up calling him that. He had glasses and was always either in the top 6 or in the finals. Every time he made a move in Ninja, he has this tai chi, fluid movement.
- This asian girl, who dressed up in some warrior outfit.
- This white guy, short hair. He would sometimes tell the ninja players to yell out "AYYYYYYYYYYYE"
- A big guy, dressed up as Dr. Mario. For a guy that big, he played pretty well. He was badass and taunted his opponents. There have been two times where I was a victim of his taunts and lost.

Anyway, I wore the yellow and white striped sweater. But one other time I played, I wore a blue and black striped sweater.

I also played Ninja at those hours!

I can't remember what I wore on Friday night, but on Saturday I got a pretty huge game going, and I was wearing a grey beanie with a bill and a chuunin vest, along with a dark grey longsleeve and some jeans.  Near the end of that night, I was walking around the circle trying to keep order of turns since it was getting hectic...

Sunday night I didn't play too much, and I played pretty lazily, but I was wearing a black slacks, white button up shirt, black tie, and a black vest with white dragon images printed on it.  (I had just come from Black and White Ball.  lol)

I'm having a bit of trouble remembering your shirts though...I saw a LOT of different colors throughout Fanime. =p

On Friday night and Sunday night, I saw an Asian girl in a very pretty black dress playing ninja in a very graceful way -- swishing her skirt back and forth with every movement like a cape.  The first night I saw her, she wore a pink wig, and the Sunday night she had short black hair.  I couldn't tell if that was a wig or not.  Sunday night, she was also accompanying an Asian guy who had injured his leg out of the gaming hall. I also saw her passing by the Fairmont on Saturday wearing a similar outfit with a platinum blonde long haired wig.

Whoever you are, Miss, you seemed very cool and I really wish I was able to speak with you those times perhaps hang out!  I hope our paths cross again.  I WILL defeat you at Ninja next time.  >:]

I'm sure whoever was in charge is sorry for the mix-up and will get back to you as soon as they figure out what went wrong.  It's understandable to be bothered by not receiving an e-mail like everyone else but...stop crying about it so much?  lol.  Sorry if I'm coming off as rude... :p  Just saying that you already said that you didn't get an e-mail.  No need to reiterate it repeatedly.  ^_^;

Besides, if someone was matched up with you, wouldn't they have your information anyway?  Maybe they're working on building up the nerve to send you an e-mail of their own right now.  =p

It's cool, I kinda just want an apology and/or explanation from whoever was in charge. In all honesty I know it doesn't matter much now (to anyone but me) but without any notification at all, even if it's just to let me know I got no matches, it was just a waste. Why go to an event like this if you're never told the outcome?

A waste of time?  You don't need an e-mail to validate your life experience, man!  It is unfortunate that you didn't receive an e-mail, but look on the bright side.  You got to meet SEVERAL different women and had a nice conversation with most if not all of them, right?  Think about all of the guys waiting in line, desperate for that opportunity, but never even got close to the door.

I'm sure you'll be able to find some way to be happy that the event was put together at all.  =)

My friend got into speed dating and got an e-mail notifying her that she had no matches.

Perhaps you or the person in charge took down your e-mail address incorrectly?

This was only my second year at Fanime, but I had a blast!  After the con, some friends and I sat around and reflected about what happened over this amazing weekend, and I have to say that the most interesting things I heard were the confessions of what happened when no one was looking.  Let's all share some funny stories!

I confess to... constantly coordinating with a close friend to isolate and knock out people while playing Ninja in the gaming room.  :P

For one instance in particular, I swung at someone and he dodged.  My partner was up next, but was looking around, pretending not to know it was his turn.  In the mean time, I noticed that my current target had a bandage around his hand.  I began to vocally notice it and question him about it, stealing his attention away (quite effectively) as he began to tell me how he wounded himself.  Whilst chatting away, my partner swooped in from behind for the sneaky KO.

Dirty tricks, I know, but THAT IS THE WAY OF THE NINJA!

I was COMPLETELY oblivious of pre-registering for the speed dating event.  I was so excited and trying to get a lot of my friends to do it too!  ToT

Took a break from Black and White Ball on Sunday to go attend and ended up being at the WAAAY end of the waitlist line.  Of course, I didn't get in.  Haha.

Since my friend and I didn't get in, we did the next best thing and tried to speed date ALL of the girls at once before they went into the room!  Haha! :D  Wish I got in though!  There's always next yeeeeear.
