When I was in 4th grade, for PE, we played a game "Steal the Bacon." There are two teams on opposite sides of the field. In the center is the bacon (which is a chalkboard eraser). Each player has a number.
The teacher calls a number. The players with the called number on each side run to the center to get the bacon. Whoever gets the bacon first must run back to his or her side before being tagged by the opponent.
A point is scored to the team when the person successfully takes the bacon to his or her side. If the person gets tagged before reaching the side, the point is awarded to the other team.
I name the game Steal the Koopa because I have a stuffed Koopa Troopa for the bacon. It's a idea for something to do at night time.
I'd play! :D
I'm in dude. This sounds like fun and it almost sounds like capture the flag as well. :3
I'd play, but maybe we could change it to capture the flag. I think CtF would work better in a hotel as I remember playing capture teh bakon and it needed a lot of space for running.
If we play capture the flag I want Nerf guns, but I don't now is the time to get into that. STEAL THE KOOPA!!!
ya know it would be nice to add some kind of Boxes and built a small special icon..pick up a box and use it as a defense area XD!!!!!!
it may not be much but hey, its just bringing in some ideas!!!!
i like the idea. it would get the blood pumping XP.
I GOT IT..i wanan make a spiked blue koopa shell..
...
hey do those still exists yet O_O?
it sounds good, i like the original idea, sounds easy and fun.
using the hotels tho might be a bad idea. running around the halls at night is noisy and keeps people from sleeping,
but i am a sucker for nerf guns ;D
I really want to do this type game.
I like this idea. We should definitely do it.
ooo i know we should have it red cosplayers vs blue cosplayers XD. i be the red demoman from team fortress 2 XDDDD
I like the original idea. the rest seems a little complicated. If you do the original game, count me in.
OMG!! I TOTALLY REMEMBER PLAYING THIS GAME!
I liked it way better than capture the flag because you only have to beat out one person LOL
I'd be down to play for sure!
At midnight eh? That sounds like fun. I'd be in.
what night? im down for all, but when do we start??
CTF would be sweet but this is fun too. We would have to find a place where we won't get hassled by people though.
So uh...this gonna really happen, or has the idea died?
I'm down. call me if it actually happens.

im pretty sure the idea is still alive, but it depends if anyone submitted this as an actual event, or if people just randomly plan on doing this straight out-of-the-blue...we'll find out in 12 days.
I still want to do this I hope it goes down.
Steal the Koopa is a go. We likely play Sunday night starting after 11pm and end whenever. I choose Sunday because it's one way to end Fanime on a high and fun note XD
I want to explain
safety first. Please avoid wrestling, fighting, and rough play. There is running. Run safely. Please avoid playing if you're wearing a delicate cosplay or wearing inappropriate shoes such as sandals.

Here's how to play with help from the ghetto dramatic pic ^__^
- There are two teams which are Team Ramune and Team Sushi with equal players. Each player is assigned a number.
- At the center is the Koopa. The objective is each team member captures the Koopa to win a point. I provide a table stand for the Koopa.
- The game master calls out a number. For instance, number 2 is called.
- Sakura from Team Ramune and Hikaru from Team Sushi run to the center to capture the Koopa. Let's say Sakura grabs the Koopa.
- If Sakura reaches to her team base before Hikaru tags her out, then Team Ramune scores a point.
- If Hikaru tags Sakura before she reaches to her team base, then Team Sushi scores a point. One hand tag is good.
- If Sakura drops the Koopa, then Team Sushi scores a point. There are no fumbles.
- Loser returns the Koopa to the center.
- The team who scores, say 11 points, depending on the number of players or whatever goal score it is, wins.
- Maximum 10 players per team.
I look for an open area where we can play safely with minimal problems =) I'm thinking the open area near Tabletop Gaming thinking back to Fanime'07.
@otakuaapprentice, the game is random ^__^
@felicity, no problem.
