Great commercial for that movie, but I don't have any ideas for what to do on that day. I can attend as long as it is on Saturday
Hmm..I know you mentioned that japanese restaurant Jeff so i'm good with it. as for movies, Jumper seems like a good bet.
and we can go to Newpark Mall or something to do afterwards the movie.
I'm in :3
that sounds cool with me; I'll see if i can make this.
I might hit this up. I also might come in my... er, Valentine's mode.
*frantically works out to prepare self for "Valentine's Mode"*
You know that sounds cool beans! I dont know if I can go but if I do mind if my boyfriend tags along?
Oh on the 14th if your in sac theres a vincent blackshadow concert 12 dollars and in san fran theres gonna be a mass pillow fight

Still working @ Cirque Du Soleil...
put me down as a "possible" but technically leaning towards no...
you wouldnt believe HOW demanding circus folk could be...

That's not candy! That's recycled pieces of chalk! I'm not gonna be tricked by those little hearts this year... >:(
If you get the tangy/sour ones, then they're DELICIOUS pieces of chalk~
I might be able to make it. Seeing as I should have money by then... But it all depends upon my work schedule.

I am single too and I don't hate it. Maybe you should go out and get someone then maybe you can see how it is.
As much as I've been a regular to the Fanibb V-day gatherings, I can't make it to this one. I've already committed to another engagement. Have fun guys~.
Put me down as a maybe.
If I can get a ride or try to get some money I could go.
This gathering definitely needs some of that 99% cocoa that Appu made me eat... and spit out.

No. You get candy if it's on DISCOUNT. Yum.
Need ride if its outside of SF. If you guys do plan somewhere inside SF I can meet you guys easily.
I'm a maybe depending on times and work schedule..
Ah, the time of love and unity. Valentines :P. I myself don't hate it, it being that I'm usually doing something for someone...one of the most money spending holiday out there >.<. As of right now I'm keeping it open to whatever life brings into my life. So maybe for me.
Thoughts:
-the only candy I've ever bought on Valentines is chocolate. Those chalk like hearts are fun to throw at people from tall buildings :D
-99% chocolate taste like dirt. Once I took a bite and spat it out, I washed the taste out with chocolate syrup
-Being single doesn't mean you can't celebrate Vday. In truth it is easier to get a "date" on that day. Having both guys and girls wanting to have someone to share it with, well makes it easy to hook up...I've seen it happen.
-jumpers seems like a kew movie. Kinda reminds me of the Covinent. Good looking guys in an action movie...how the hell do they stay so good looking. Another movie I myself am interested is defenetly maybe...but thats me :P
Thats all I got for now :P

There is a great chance I can't attend because my family is celebrating Chinese New Year on Sat Feb 16. I continue to organize the gathering. I apologize. I thought my family celebrate on Saturday February 9. Unfortunately, family plans changed.
ultramangaia and RyuHayabusa's suggestion of Jumper movie and the Japanese restaurant in Fremont is a good one and a start. I updated the first page with a list of those definite and the suggested location. If you're coming and are not on the list, please correct me.
I'd like to make it out to this but I wont know if I can make it out til Friday either way it soulds like it should be fun.

That sucks. My family usually waits to go out for dinner later a little bit after Chinese New Years so it easier and they don't rush you out.
Another place to maybe go to as well like that Golfland place I hear about on here or somewhere like that before dinner/movie.
Unfortunately, this is the 2nd time this is planned on the same day as my friend's b-day party. -.-;
Too bad I can't attend both. T.T
Past v-days were so much fun... ~sob~
Maybe we can have an impromptu v-day related friday gathering? O.o? We could all find someplace to buy truffles or something... Or borrow Lisu's kitchen to cook yummy deserts. /gg
Heck, we need a gathering to cook yummy deserts.

In defense of guys who do something for the ladies on Vday. Yes you are right you should love your significant other everyday. But on Valentines we have to exaggerate :P.
And I read that the same way.
Now gathering wise, I really have no idea what Im doing that day now. I have club meeting in the morning till I or we get bored I guess. Hmmm
stop the train-
GUYS....DOING....VALENTINES DAY, B.S.! A guy shouldn't do squat.
My goal, a satisfying Black Day (since it was ever so wrongfully taken from me last year)
In all seriousness, I have a lot of work to do for v-day, why am I wasting time here?
oh, and gathering? maybe interested, will decide when more info is posted.
I can make it. :3 I got that day off.

... hmmmmm ;) LoL... this is a great group.
wouldn't it be easier to plan a white day gathering instead? lol since it's like march 14th rather than feb. 14. I'm kidding.
Anywho I'm bummed that i can't even do anything for valentines day anyways or for the meet-up cuz of work :P.
I only ever got to celebrate the holiday once... usually i just make my specialty cakes for good friends but kind of hard to deliver all of them when everyone i know lives in seperate directions.
There's always next year right?

Actually that can be done as well. We did it in the past. I wouldn't mind organizing that one. That was fun.
First post updated.
Here is another suggestion. Meet at John D Morgan park in Campbell, CA located at 540 West Rincon Avenue. The park is about 5 minutes away from the Pruneyard Shopping Center. Access to Highways 17 and 85 are minutes away if everyone wants to go to Oakridge.
Here is the link http://www.ci.campbell.ca.us/Recreation/parks/parkinfoJDM.htm
Anyone will to traverse to Modesto to get me? XP I could wish cant I? DX
if i was driving now, i wouldn't mind going out; but alas, im not driving yet.
Yay! I might be getting a ride. XD
I updated the first post for possible meeting place. Everyone meet at the food court in the Great Mall in Milpitas at 1:00 pm. Everyone is near Fremont for the Japanese restaurant.
right now I'm a maybe for this if i get my shift covered, as well as Otaku_Princess is also a maybe(were not arriving together, this is just noting we are both maybes for this)

Activity Jumper Movie and Japanese Restaurant Fremont (Current Plan)
So... watch movie first, restaurant later? The order is rather important to me so I'll know whether to show up late to skip the movie.
im pretty sure its movie first, foodums later; after watching the movie, youll be hungry...therefore, foodums goes next.
Movie->Foodums=Happy!
yeah, that's what we are going to do. Movie 1st then food.
speaking of which, the showtimes are posted, but only for friday only. I'll put the showtimes tomorrow for saturday. They should be updated by then.
Here are the showtimes:
12:50*
1:35*
2:20
3:10
3:55
4:40
Movie is an 1hr and 30mins.
*to make Matinee (which is $8 before 2pm, $10 after)
Wondering if we should by off Fandango so we have the tickets already in case of a sellout. Cause I would rather pay $8 than $10.
Also Ryu will be my ride (thanks again Ryu)

You don't need to cosplay to attend the gatherings. Welcome aboard and come join us and have fun :3
I can attend Saturday. My family celebrated Chinese New Year on Sunday February 10, however, we might celebrate again on Saturday February 16 for my sister who lives in Sacramento. The plan was cancelled.
I'm going to keep the meeting time at 1pm. If anyone can provide more Jumper start time information, then I might change to noon to have two opportunities to watch the movie at matinee.
The current plan is we meet at the Great Mall Food Court at 1pm, watch Jumper, free time to do anything, and eat dinner at the Japanese restaurant in Fremont.
12:50pm is the earliest showing of the move that day.
Below are all the times for Sat Jan 16 showings at the Great Mall Century 20
12:50
1:35
2:20
3:10
3:55
4:40
5:30

7:50
8:35
9:20

I'm afraid I must honorably back out from this one. Given a new and frightfully large workload from school (my first physics class with MATH, particularly the one I JUST barely passed recently with a low C) and a prior obligation on the Monday to follow, it'd just be plain unwise to spend Saturday as such.
I wish I could, sorry folks. :'( I'm a sad panda man.
I cant make it either. T_T
Great Mall sounds good to me.
I stopped by the Japanese restaurant today to provide you guys the name and address.I noticed that the place dosen`t open until 5pm so we`ll have to make some changes to the plans. The resturant is west off Auto mall pkwy then make a left on Boscell st.There`s alot of businesses along this street.Go down about 2 blocks from Auto mall. The restaurant is on your right. The name and address is:
Kaenyama

Let's keep the 1pm meeting time and watch the 1:35pm showing. I know if I move the meeting time to 12pm, then some of us arrive late for the 12:50pm showing.
I will be unable to make it out to this event... I have been sick since weds and not much better today so not looking much better tommorrow... I'm going to be staying home and getting some rest but I'm going to miss out on this. :(
count me out for this: no one could take my shift for tomorrow, so i have to work. damnit.

All else: Nice to see you guys.
My Brawl money: I gotta $20 back soon. :D
The movie was alright and worth it. Dinner was alright as well except for Barnes meal taking forever.
Ryu - thanks again for the ride, and letting us hang out at your place
Inin - thanks for bring that movie to watch at Ryu, great movie.
gmontem - I beat you again, even though you had less ice cream to eat, but was it really a race? ;D
Everyone else - nice meeting/seeing you even though I was quiet again, but thats how I am, too shy
Fun evening, must say.
ININ, thank you IMMENSELY for the lift to my car. You've saved my butt every time, man. Every time.
Barnes, good to see you again. Part of me is sad that the burger didn't arrive on time, but... part of me expected that from a Japanese restaraunt...
ShortPachoo, UltramanGaia, well met. :3
GMontem, those pictures are long due up... WE MUST HAVE THA PICADATURES! Just messin'. T'was good to have you around.
To all else I failed to be specific to, good to see you. I know names, just... not at this hour. Need. Sleep.
Samuel L. Jackson: "I AM TIRED OF THESE MUTHAF***IN JUMPERS IN MAH MUTHAF***IN PLANET!!!"
Thanks everyone for coming to the gathering. It was fun ^__^ Here's are the highlights in blog format XD
1:00pm Jump To The Theatre If Your Late
zoupzuop2, ultramangaia, Amelia Seyruun, Barnes, and I arrived at the food court. zoupzuop2 purchased a Subway lunch. All of us purchased our tickets and entered the theatre at 1:30pm. RyuHayabasa and shortpachoo arrived after the previews ended. We sat at the top row. We exited the theatre after the movie and our opinions were mixed. No Samuel L. Jackson's mother fu--- quote.
3:45pm In-And-Out At The Border
Kaenyama opened at 5pm. We choose to go to In-And-Out at the McCarthy Ranch. Some of us ordered shakes, coffee, and a grilled cheese sandwich. Then we walked to Borders. A few of us purchased manga thanks to shortpachoo's employee discount. At 4:40pm, I drove to the Fremont BART station to pick up Amol and we met everyone at Kaenyama. Ultramangaia's Japanese restaurant suggestion was a high class and high price restaurant. We choose to eat somewhere else. Gmontem contacted Amol saying he joins us for dinner.
6:15pm Burgers At A Japanese Restaurant???
We choose to go to Japan Grill in Hayward, a first for most of us. Prices were reasonable. Gmontem arrived at the restaurant a few minutes later after everyone ordered. Most of the conversations were movies with sequels. We also talked about cartoon series, Rock Band, and laptops. We are geeks, LOL. Our dinners arrived. Amol's dinner arrived a few minutes late. Unfortunately, Barnes' order arrived really late. Perhaps, the cook was pissed you ordered American.
After dinner, we walked to Cold Stone and Jamba Juice. Amelia Seyruun ordered a smoothie. Amol, gmontem, shortpachoo, and zoupzuop2 ordered ice cream. RyuHayabasa, ultramangaia, and I talked about taxes.
At 8:30pm, we walked back to our cars. Amol, Gmontem, ultramangaia, and zoupzuop2 went home. The rest of us went to Ryu's house and we watched Dog Day Afternoon starring Al Pachino. Barnes was the only person who saw the movie. The two hour movie was great. Amelia and Ryu noticed the actor who played Bishop in Aliens was one of the FBI agents. At 11pm, everyone went home.

Amol One day, we earn six digit incomes even after taxes
Barnes Kick back, right shoulder, arms.
gmontem I paid full price and I bought it at Barnes and Noble.
RyuHayabasa Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place after dinner.
shortpachoo My apologies for the garbage reference. I wonder if your family used metal cans ~~
ultramangaia No dress shoes, no dress shirt, no service.
zoupzuop2 Persuade your Physics teacher open book and open note. More A's and he gets tenure.
Japan Grill: First off, I say the costumer is always right. I was tempted to NOT leave a tip after waiting THAT LONG for a simple to cook food. The burger wasn't that great anyway. I ordered it PLAIN and it still came with veggies that I don't like on it (I took them off anyway). If you (the restuarant) are gonna be that slow with bringing a burger to a costumer who ordered it, THEN DON'T ****ING SELL BURGERS ON YOUR ****ING MENU! That place better have a GOOD reason for making me wait that long for my food. If not, I give them my finger (the not so nice one).
That is all.
Thanks for the pics ININ, but I had to copy and paste the link to get it to work.
