Hello FanimeCon forum members! I've been away from here for quite a while, looks like a lot of changes and new faces around. Lots of new forums since I was here last, this one sounds like the best place for me to be posting this. If not, please go ahead and relocate it. :)

Yesterday I decided that I'd had enough and could no longer just sit and watch what was happening over in Japan, so many "click here to support" or "repost to show your support" types of things showing up, but no one actually doing anything.

So I've put together "A Little Something More," a fundraising site through Crowdrise to collect donations for Network for Good that will go towards tsunami and earthquake relief in Japan.

I know the first thoughts of a post like this will be along the lines of "must be a scam or spam," but this is 100% real. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crowdrise

I figure, where better to share what I am doing than among my friends and family of FanimeCon. I hope that you will all check it out, and if possible give a little something to the cause.

As a bonus incentive to donate right now, Crowdrise is having a promotion where any donations for $16 or $26 before March 31st, 2011 will get you entered into a drawing for an iPod Nano. Maybe we can get some mini-fanime gatherings going.

My plans are looking like Anime Expo(Just because its local and after 10 years of attending I want to see it fall..), Penny Arcade Expo, and Oni-con

I'll be at the dance tonight trying to unload as many glowsticks as I can.. Didn't make last nights so I've got too many to go home with now :P

Also, people keep flaking on hanging out and drinking and such, so I've got quite a bit left in that are too..

(The next three and a half hours of work are going to take soooo long...)

I know it's suddenly raining quite a bit here in Southern California, which is really weird for me to see during a time I'll be at a con. How are things looking there? Not what the news or anything says, but how does it actually look?

If it rains Saturday night, anyone care to take part in a little zombie outbreak in the convention center?  I've got plenty of makeup and stage blood ;D

In case anyone actually remembers me, after something like a 3 year absence, I'll actually be making it back to Fanime this year!

I was just wondering, since I pre-regged and wasn't able to make it to the convention is there anyway to still get my pre-reg badge? :)

So for the last couple years of conventions I've been bringing and giving out 100's even 1000+ glowsticks to people at the dances.

Should I keep it going for Fanime 2006?

I don't know about this...
