Any update on this? I'll have my Ayumu cosplay with me for the weekend, though I'm not sure if I'll wear it the whole weekends 'cause there's another cosplay I wanna wear.

All special characters are banned, this includes customs and any non-standard moveset. (Sorry for the late reply.)
This I like. Thanks for the reply.

I see that Soul Calibur V got updated as far as that weird 'score attack' thing goes. Now I can ask my real question. Are there any bans on Custom characters / Devil Jin moveset? I know some tourneys ban them because of buggy hitboxes and custom parts that can obscure and mask animations. I just wanna know if I finally have to get around to learning anti-DJ.

The 1000% Ayumu cosplay was finished and debuted at AX 2011. Here's me with a Yuu cosplayer I ran into http://hylianinja.deviantart.com/#/d3swq94

...So I got to thinking, would anyone be willing to try cosplaying the powered up Haruna from ep 11? It goes by really fast in the show, but if you take a closer look it's different from Ayumu's outfit. Her dress becomes strapless and has a long frilly trail that comes from underneath the skirt, and she has hibiscus looking yellow flowers instead of bow ribbons, and what looks like a veil coming out of her hat.

I was one (were there multiple?) of the Aikawa Ayumu cosplays. My costume was actually recently updated to the 1000% power super-kawaii version (the one with extra frills and roses). I don't know how flexible my work is gonna be next year, but I am definitely gonna try making it to Fanime 2012.

Ideas and Suggestions / Re: Schedule Please!!!

At the very least, put up a giant printed schedule on the wall right in the middle of the convention center.

Those are the rules, but yeah, the other people above me are right in saying that lolita fashion is perfectly acceptable (quite common actually). Also, it's not like cosplaying is a requirement at anime conventions; you see people in street clothes/not in costume all the time.

I still play Soul Calibur 4 because that's the only game I'm good good at. Also, I like trolling people online with Algol and Hilde.

I don't see an issue here. Just get it peace-bonded.
Sweet. Thanks for the reply.

Hi, I'm concerned whether my chainsaw prop complies with FanimeCon peace-bonding rules or not.

My main concern is that I used a drive chain from a bike while making the prop.

Here's the reference picture from the anime the coplay comes from.

If that's not acceptable, then I hope making another replica completely out of cardboard/paper would be acceptable.

1) Does it work? (Not: is it a chainsaw, but does anything move?)

2) Aside from the chain, what's it made of?

1) No, it does not work. The chain is glued and tied down in place.

2) Cardboard, recycled plastic jugs, broken Snake Light (plastic), paper, duct tape.

I guess it's worth a shot... anyone here still keep up with Soul Calibur IV? SCIV is my main fighting game, though I'm pretty okay in Brawl, and I at least know some combos in MvC3.

I'll be cosplaying Ayumu from Kore wa Zombie desu ka? with chainsaw and everything

I have other cosplays as well: Naoi from Angel Beats! Riku, from Arakawa Under the Bridge, Uryuu from Bleach, but I'll probably only pull those out if there are cosplay groups/gatherings looking for those characters.
