Don't overwork yourself!

Great place to stay, live music and bar in the lobby area at night, though might be out of place for the kiddies or underaged folks. Yes, as the others have stated, it's a rather classy place, so please at least try to be courteous to the people who are there not attending Fanime, and not be overbearingly loud.  ;)

Any information or regulations in regards for press? We are registered press with the WCS website.

Where were you taking the shots from? I was the on the left side front in a blue colored shirt with a camera bag.

We took a lot of redundant photos as not every shot is usable. As it stands now, it looks like we'll probably have around 80 cosplay photos and 80 Masquerade.

We're sorting out over 2000+ pictures we took this year... T.T so it won't be a while before we get them up. Should have cosplay and Masquerade photos ready first.

I'm bringing this thread back to life due to some complaints I received from our Chief Photographer.

BIG advice, when people are in the middle of a photoshoot, DO NOT be RUDE and INTERRUPT them by trying to take photos around or on top of the photographer. This can be extremely distracting.

ASK FIRST!!! Please do not try to 'ninja' a shot.

It is VERY impolite to do so without first asking as you are being disrespectful to BOTH the cosplayer AND photographer.

The photographer will let you know when and if you can take a shot during the photoshoot after asking.
Else, the cosplayer usually will be more than happy for you to take their picture after the shoot.

This is probably going to be the last post I will be adding here before the con, if you have received a PM from me and have not given me your contact number please do so ASAP or you will be dropped from our schedule!

I will be calling each scheduled individual later tonight or tomorrow to confirm the time and places.

If it's not too much trouble or a hassle, I would bring the prop anyway and let the peace bonding staff decide on site, just make sure that it has an orange cap.

The moving part clause seems to be listed under and applies mostly to "flail weapons" though of course this could apply to other weapons; but yes, the biggest problem as you mentioned is that it's an airsoft gun.

Worst case is you would just need to leave it in your room. :p

Update: Check your inboxes as we have just worked out the schedules.

Going off of Tenchi Fan's last post, photographers please be aware of anything that doesn't look right and feel free to politely ask or let the cosplayer know before taking the picture. Examples I am referring to includes a wig being slightly off, item or article that is part of the cosplay that has been shifted or falling apart, etc.
