the bird's wing whacked the wife in the head and another bird crapped on the guy.

so yeah, i understand he's pissed but that's wayyyy over the top.

why would they euthanize it over a broken wing? they can fix that =/
i guess no one wants to put forth the money. :/

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A rare gull that apparently tried to eat a couple's ice cream was euthanized after the man beat the bird with a stick. Dragan Djuric, 50, of Wichita, Kansas, and his wife were eating ice cream New Year's Eve on the boardwalk at Main Beach when a flock of birds attacked them, Laguna Beach police Sgt. Jeff Calvert said.

One bird hit Djuric's wife in the head and tried to take the ice cream. Djuric was defecated on.

The couple dropped the frozen food and Djuric began hitting the birds with a stick, Calvert said.

One of the birds - a rare Heermann's gull - sustained a broken wing and was later euthanized.

Djuric was cited and released on suspicion of animal cruelty.

Heermann's gulls are on the Audubon Society's watch list for at-risk birds. The creatures are surprisingly aggressive and steal fish from the pouches of pelicans and chase other birds to take their prey, according to the society's Web site.

The estimated population of Heermann's gulls is 525,000.

If it had been me there, I would have just tap the bird with my foot. I would never go as far as to break any bones.

do you honestly think they make a blip on the radar compared to frys and bestbuy?
not to mention most of their stuff is grossly overpriced compared to frys.
i've seen Central's prices beat Fry's plenty of times. the only thing that they can beat over at Central is Fry's CPU & Mobo combo deals, but i've save plenty of money by checking out other stores first.

I've never even heard of Central Computer.
And there's only two Micro Centers in California any way.
i don't care if Fry's & BB, have a monopoly in the other states, but as long as they have competition in CA, then i'm happy. competition = lower prices.

i think you should have paper brackets printed out and ready just in case the tourney bracket software doesn't work. i remember the guy running the software saying something about how if you make a mistake, the software doesn't allow u to go back and fix it.

it's always good to have a back up plan if things doesn't work.

Serious Business / Re: The Confederate Flag

Well, the Japan Flag was around WAY before the Pearl Harbor attack and to my knowledge, neither the U.S. or Japan are at each other's throats anymore.

The Confederate Flag, however, was specifically created because the Southerns States were breaking away from the Union.

10 years old? Hmm... what is that? 4th grade?
either he has some mental disability or
his parents never taught him NOT to harm others or
he assumed that rule only applied to people, not animals.

Serious Business / The Confederate Flag

Doesn't anyone find the Confederate Flag slightly/extremely offensive?

If I saw it in a history book or in a museum, I would really care, but when I see people wear clothes based on that flag, it bothers me a little. I can't help thinking that the person is telling me, "**** the U.S.! The South will rise again!"

Anyone here from the south? Feel free to voice your opinion.

Sakura somehow didn't age... and is still wearing her sailor fuku for some god awful reason though.

GOOD JOB CAPCOM.

i really wished they aged sakura. i hate seeing a 14 year old girl beating up full sized adults with military/martial art training.

the game play does feel like SF2
the control & feel of the game feels like SFA
graphics are like Tekken 5
throwing & EX-moves are like 3S

it's not a bad game. the thing that worries me the most though, is if the characters are balanced. i haven't been following the SRK threads, but I heard the fat yellow guy is really good.
