Hey guys! I'm back to host Yugioh gathering at Fanime if it's ok?

i'm not complaining since the trophies are really nice and we did participate for the fans and fun but... idk about the other groups (excluding best of show) but random anime/general advertisements from as far back as comic-con 2002 as prizes... was... um... e_e;;

I don't know if it's possible to get Viz Media or Funimation to sponsor the masquerade because they could probably give out some DVDs or something like at Cherry Blossom Festival and advertisements for upcoming/recently released products...

i-it's ok i was just a bit shocked since i've never won anything in fanime masquerade before until this year and it was odd

how does this work? I still have my receipt from the end of 2010 for my pre-reg for 2011 but when I tried logging in, it didn't recognize my email, so I made a new acct and put in the member ID but then it still said unpaid?

I also have a friend I want to help me run a panel, how does the discount apply to that? Can we pre-reg her for the weekend and get the discount?

I want to hold a panel about yugioh- in general come in for help with:

1. fandom (esp if all you've seen is abridged)
2. questions about 5d's
3. any other questions
4. how to draw the characters ^^
5. how to make one of those crazy wigs XD

If fanime invites guests related to the yugioh fandom, I wanna try to ask them to join in :3

I thought my panel on how to draw webcomics was pretty successful (Esp for my first one! ^^;; )

but I would love to hold another one, this time I would like people's opinions on the topics I should focus on?

I thought the best way was to make an improv comic (turned out funny btw ^^) but if anyone has suggestions for topics/questions they needed anwered that would make for a general panel like this, please post and lmk-

We just need about 4+ people! :D

You must be able to go to one rehersal that the time will be TBA in Japantown, San Francisco, or if it is more convinient for people, another location based on the people (somewhere in the Bay area or East bay) and be able to make the masquerade related events at Fanime.

You CANNOT be already committed to another group.

We are looking for a Kamina from Gurran though!!! (or any other big masculine character- i.e. Armstrong or overinflated ego person i.e Seto Kaiba)

All other characters can be from ANY ANIME series!
That means:

NO
- Avatar the last airbender
- video game ONLY characters
- Cartoon characters

I would like to hold a how to draw panel.

basically I have like not only how to draw characters but how to plan and draw out manga/comics, and animations

can someone please give me info on how to do this/what i need?

Anyone cosplaying Cartoon characters? (western animation)

I'm doing a skit with them (no we're not dancing to "cartoon heroes")

Keep in mind the theme is something like "Cartoons that we look up to/cartoons we loved as kids"

also note that in Japan, "Anime" is just "animation" and isn't separate from animation from other countries

Basically the following series are eligible:

Any show airing on Nickelodeon (this includes Avatar. If we had Invader ZIm cosplayers that'd be amazing)
Any show produced by cartoon network studios (this excludes inuyasha)
Any superhero show/series (batman. superman, teen titans, etc)
Any other show whose origin is in the US, or has been shown on television and dubbed in the US on the main networks (meaning you don't need premium cable. examples includes pokemon, digimon, inuyasha etc.)

If you just want to cosplay a cartoon hero and just want to be known, just feel free to post and i'll add it (you aren't committing to anything)

In fact i think that a meet might be easier, but a skit would be awesome

To keep it as diverse as possible, only 1-2 people can cosplay the same person (having 20 kataras on stage gets confusing)

also, isn't selling fanart illegal without the permission of the owner/creator?
if so, how come people sold naruto and other series fanart?

I'm working on the Magician of Black Chaos duel armor (yugioh capsule monsters episode 7/8... ) and hopefully if i get it done, i'll wear that.

but i want to see if anyone else wants to cosplay yugioh (maybe as tribute to the end of the series)

I've got the Ghost Danny costume all ready with a few detials missing (like white hair and green eyes)
