So every year there are cosplayers that want to join a gathering, but they are unsure if there will be enough people interested in doing a gathering. That's what this thread is for :)

~ If you started a gathering thread and "Think" it got removed... look here... I'm sure you will find your thread title in one of the last posts... Please be kind and respectful to each other and the more you can help each other the better.

~ If you are looking for other cosplayers from a particular title or genre post that info here on this thread.

~ If your looking for people to join in your FanimeCon skit then those question are perfect to post in here too, but make sure to come back and check.

~ Maybe you want to let people know who you will be cosplaying @ FanimeCon in 2015. That's also what this thread is for :) So post that info here on this thread.

Hey guys! My friends and I pretty much have our costumes set for this next Fanime, and we'd love to meet up with other cosplayers from the same series, especially from lesser known series that we'll be dressing up from~

Amnesia: The Dark Descent or Amnesia: Justine
My girlfriend will be cosplaying as Daniel from A:TDD for a while, and we'll be changing to Justine (myself) and a Suitor (my girlfriend) from A:J.

Indie RPG Maker games
We'll have a small group from the game Ib, and my girlfriend and I will later be Ellen and Viola from The Witch's House ("Majo no Ie"). We'd like to take pictures with anyone else from either of those series, or even from other games like Ao Oni, Mad Father, Yume Nikki, etc.!

Also, we'd like to know if anyone else would be interested in joining us as the Assassin Apprentices from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood! We'll have a small group going, and it'd be so much fun to have more join us~ :y <3

This isn't set in stone yet, but my girlfriend and I are also thinking of bringing outfits from Godchild/Count Cain by Kaori Yuki! Any other fans of the series gonna be at Fanime this year? c:

I'll be dressing up as Benio Shinada and Brief a couple of the Fanime days, I just don't know which one yet. I'd love to meet up or take some pictures with anyone from those shows!

Friday: Older costume (it's looking like Ulala at this point, though I can still pull out Lady Blackpearl or something else)
Julia (Cowboy Bebop; for the gathering, and on into the evening)

Saturday:
Ultimecia (FFVIII; for the gathering, and on into the afternoon until I get too tired to wear it)
(If I'm not too tired to wear another actual costume, I might bring out Lady Blackpearl later this afternoon/evening)

Sunday:
)(er Imperious Condescension (Homestuck; daytime, maybe for the gathering?)
fancystuck!Rose Lalonde (Homestuck; evening, for the B&W Ball)

Wherever I can fit it in/my group can fit in a photoshoot:
Calisto Yew (Ace Attorney Investigations)

I might bring out Eruca (Radiant Historia), but she requires more fixing on her armor than I thought, and I won't be attending the SMT/Persona gathering, so I probably won't. I know that I won't have enough time to fix the lights on Maj. Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell), so that'll have to wait to return at a later con. :<

If anyone is cosplaying from any of these series and wants to get together for a shoot or something, please let me know! (I'd even be willing to squeeze in the two costumes that I mentioned I'm not bringing if someone wants to do some sort of a shoot with them)

...Hey, I've reduced it down from the 8 I originally was planning. Good for me! (though I still might wear 7, depending on how Saturday goes, and this isn't counting Mom Lalonde, my "too lazy/not worth it to wear an actual cosplay" cosplay, that I'll probably throw on either after Ulti or after whatever I wear after Ulti...so if anyone needs a Mom Lalonde for something, I guess that's an option, too?)

I was just wondering if there was going to be a Kigu gathering or not?  I made a KiguPanda for this year and would like to know if there is a chance for a gathering?  Big or small.

Are there any Nagato Yuki's and/or Key anime characters such as Yuripee, Nayuki, or Tomoyo?

I'm doing a Devola cosplay and would love to meet up with any other NieR cosplayers. I saw only two last year and wore my costume on the wrong day D: I'm not sure what day yet; it'll depend on if I can find other people.

I just have one costume I'm looking to get pictures of; Devola from NieR. I have a couple props to pose with and an optional apron.

Hi all, I will be going this year as Leonardo from TMNT. I'll be decked out in some ninja gear, so hopefully there will be others from the TMNT universe. If not, come say hi to the big green turtle ^^

I don't think we'll get enough people to form a gathering, but a meet-up or something? Or anyone else cosplaying from Psycho Pass? :) I will be going as Akane and my friend will be Kougami. Hopefully not just us two from this series~ :O :)

So I have no experience with skin colored paint, latex or anything. I am planning on being Marshall Lee for Fanime and need to order my skin paint pretty quick. Any advice on where I can get some or what companies to look out for / to avoid?

Look up Homestuck troll makeup tutorials. It'll give you an abundance of information, and it'll even list the color of grey you need, since they're pretty similar.

Personally, I use the brand Ben Nye, and it works pretty well. You just have to seal it very well and be careful where you touch (or forego coloring the palm side of your hands). I think Snazaroo is the other popular brand to use. There are a few other options (like PAX) that have been very successful, but I don't have experience with that. But yeah, Homestuck troll tutorials are your friend.

I heard there was an unofficial one last year, but I missed it and I would really love to take pictures with the rest of the RE cosplayers this year! I know at least 10 other people doing it next year and about 3 who have already done SnK so I was thinking that I may start the gathering next year. Most of them are from out of state though so they aren't exactly sure if they will 100% be there. When I started cosplaying six years ago, I wore a costume from Paranoia Agent.  Since then, I have seen only one other cosplay (at Acen in Rosemont, Illinois) from that anime.  I have never felt bad about being the only cosplayer (in any particular series) so I hope that you do not feel uncomfortable either.

From what I have seen, many people cosplay from Puella Magi Madoka Magica so you probably would not be alone nor unrecognized.

So I'm pretty sure I'm going to be Jack from ME2 and I was just wondering if there were any other ME cosplayers and/or gatherings I should be on the lookout for.

Title says it all! Any cosplay ideas for characters that go together and whatnot.

I'm not really looking for any generic and over-used cosplays. There MIGHT be exceptions to this rule.

My boyfriend and I will be the ones cosplaying.

Because of our height differences my girlfriend and I intend to do Anise and Tokunaga. Are there any charcters that your looks lend more to. (Not that you should let that decide who to dress up as)

As dajoo posted above, it would help if you could provide more information about what you watch, play, read, fandoms, etc.  Also, you can consider crossplaying, you be the male, your boyfriend dress as the female - this doesn't necessarily mean he would wear a dress.  You can make a male version of the female's outfit.  For instance a princess's gown would be a pink shirt with ruffles but with pants.

This is my first year attending in which I will be doing a different cosplay every day- buuut I'm still working out the scheduling of said cosplays to ensure that I can attend each of their respective gatherings, if any such gatherings exist~

I think the day that is best for me and my group is Friday, so that's my vote :)

Also, even if it's sort of unofficial, you should still get a spot assignment from BSapphire, so that this doesn't accidentally interrupt any other gatherings, and to make sure we even have a space available.

Well now I'm more confused, where would I go to submit a Unofficial/Official gathering. I know it's somewhere here, but a lot of text at once gets jumbled so i get confused on directions. Orz.

Suggestion is for a Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter Gathering.
I'll be in charge I guess, I've never run one I don't know how to do this. ..BUt Since I'm completely losthere would someone else like to be in charge of this gathering???

It's not the on the list in the first post, and I don't think Air Gear was a Shonen Jump series, so I doubt it...

Kantai Collection is getting pretty big in Japan (often compared to the Tohou-boom). I was wondering if anyone is cosplaying from Kantai Collection this Fanime or in the future? I'll be running around as a Shitty Teitoku (Admiral) with a Yamato dakimakura.

Actually several friends and I were planning to do Kancolle cosplay next year.
Since all of us are doing Shingeki no Kyoujin this year, it's our main cosplay.
So probably next year, I would definitely be one of the Kanmusu (ship girls).
And I think one other would be too, but not sure about the rest.
So definitely I would probably like to get a Kancolle gathering going next year.

I do plan to cosplay as both series this year but was thinking if there would be any one of the same series around?

I did see a Shimakaze and Kongou from Kancolle last year 2014 (whooo~ they looked great)
So I was hoping that perhaps that more people would like to do so.
And of course PMMM.

I miiiiight arrange a gathering and panel for PMMM- very few people seem interested in organizing!

I'm planning to hopefully get Akagi from KanColle done for Fanime; I also know a small group of people who are working on KanColle cosplays as well!

@ mama zilly - Ah I saw your panel/gathering...maybe I can attend, my cosplay is sometimes a pain though to put on.
And yeah seems like not many people too interested in organizing due to stuff need doing before the gathering can happen.

There's a chance that I'll be bringing my cosplay of Momoe Nagisa from PMMM: Rebellion, but I wouldn't count on it, considering how warm that costume is relative to the weather in San Jose around the end of May.... however, if you get a sizable gathering lined up, and nobody else still plans to go as her, I might bring the costume to change in and out of for the gathering?
But again, I'm not totally sure yet, sorry ^ ^;

I'm putting together a group of Playboy Bunny-style eeveelutions for this con, and am looking for cosplayers!

The only bit of info I didn't put in there is that my flareon will have to be comfortable styling a wig into a pompadour (not a ridiculous anime pomp, but a regular feminine pomp -- it shouldn't be too difficult with a lace front wig, but this has still been scaring people away from taking that character.)

I saw that there was a Persona gathering last year and wanted to see if anyone was going as Persona characters this year or there is a gathering? I plan on going as Yu Narukami and I'll be sad if I can't find any fellow Persona people!

Count me in! I'm going to be Yu too unless it's not on a Saturday. I'm bringing a P5 protagonist and Minato Arisato along.

But usually HeeroYuy135 or Linefaced are in charged of hosting the Shin Megami Tensei/Persona gatherings, so you should ask them.

I really hope the CLAMP gathering happens! I will finally have Umi! But I can only really wear it Friday, maybe Sunday... and I think last year it was Saturday.

I've been enjoying this show much, and the large cast would be great for a gathering. I figure there must others who also get laughs from this show.

Will there be a lolita gathering of some sort at Fanime this year? I'm working on my first coord and I'd love to attend a meetup, but I can't find any in the forums and I don't remember if there's been one in the past. It'd be a shame if I couldn't go to one :(

There's usually a Gundam gathering every year, although the location varies.

I've gone as Four Murasame the last couple of years and I'll probably show up as Four again, although I do have that Kamille costume that I never got to wear last year...we'll see. ;)

I will be mainly going as Holo from Spice and Wolf this year. I may also tromp around in my homemade kigu as Toothless from HTTYD, but it is all fleece so I may melt into a puddle. I saw some interest in a kigu group, but haven' seen anything thus far for spice and wolf.

Is anyone going as Akatsuki no Yona/Yona of the Dawn characters? I found some people who are going as Hak, Soo-won, and Shin-ah, and I am going as Yona myself. We are going to get together on Sunday afternoon of the con to chat about the show/manga and take pictures together, if there's anyone interested in joining. We were going to iron out more details later on, once schedules are announced, etc. Feel free to add your own ideas, lol. Also, if anyone has any ideas on a good place to meet up, it would be appreciated, since it is going their first Fanime and my second (my first been a few years ago), so we aren't very familiar with the area.

Looking for more cosplayers interested in a Yowamushi Pedal meetup! I haven't seen any threads for yowapeda and I'm surprised since it's fairly popular at the moment.
