I noticed some people say that rooms in the Saint Claire have a mini fridge but their Room Features page says they don't. A friend stayed in a suite there two years back and they had a mini fridge, so is this an option only available in suites or in basic rooms as well?

I only saved myself by having a tab open on the facebook page waiting for updates when they posted a correct link  :o

Thanks!

This may be asking too much but ... could we get a break down of prices by room type, specifically for the hotels that are connected to the convention center?  hehe ^^;

I'm not a staffer but I believe usually the cheaper price is for a one bedded room(usually a king or queen size) and the more expensive is for a two bedded(two double or queen beds)? At least in my experience its been this way, beds vary by each hotel I think. Hope this helps.

Can you reserve a hotel room before buying your badge, or do you have to buy your badge first to be able to reserve a hotel room?

I just asked this in another thread and the answer was no, you do not need to buy your badge first to be able to reserve a hotel room.

Registration / Re: online pre-registering for 2013

Yikes, time to get my group in order. Hopefully since its on my birthday I'll have good luck with a room this year?  :-X

Sorry if this was already answered, but do you have to buy your badge registration before you can book a hotel room? This is the first year I'm doing things out of order.

anyone know a guesstimate on how much a room for two, possibly connected to the convention center or in walking distance, would be?  :(

Posted this in another thread but here you go, https://www.cmrhousing.com/FANI_4A/Amenities.aspx Prices and such from last year to help you guess around how much it should be. Some prices could change of course.

Quote from: DangerHeart on January 21, 2013, 01:46:42 PMQuestion for myself, does anyone know if its possible to book more then one room at once? Say 3 rooms at the same hotel on one reservation? Sorry if this has already been answered in another thread.

Quote from: kookiekween99 on January 20, 2013, 04:57:39 PM6. If you need more than one room, you will need to repeat this process for each room. As far as I know, there is no way to reserve multiple rooms under a single reservation.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Thanks Kookiekween :)

Have they ever posted the room rates in advance before?

Not to my knowledge. I just always plan off the previous year's rates.

If anyone is curious, last year the Hilton was $122/night for a double-bed room.

As far as I know they've never posted pricing for hotels in advance, but here's the old info from last year so you can estimate what you'll be spending per night (some prices might be a bit different this year of course) and pick which hotel you'd most like to stay in. https://www.cmrhousing.com/FANI_4A/Amenities.aspx

I always pick a hotel for a Plan B in case my first choice books up before I can reserve a room. And be sure to look at parking prices and such for each hotel and always add that into your budget, made that mistake my first year.....wasn't fun.

Last year my group stayed at the Raddisson(Spelled that wrong? Not sure.) for either $79 or $89 per night for a two bedded room for 4 people, sorry I can't remember the exact price or the deposit but I remember it was very reasonable and a very nice hotel.

Also, from my three years experience of handling my groups rooms the estimated final cost of the hotel that is emailed to you after you book your room has always been right on the nose for me down to the last penny(not counting the security deposit that's charged when you get there, I always call ahead to doble check the exact price for that.) so I've never had an issue with it costing more then expected but we always bring an extra $100 per night just in case there's a mix up somewhere. Better to be safe then sorry.

The Hilton and Marriott always book up the fastest, last year they were both full by the time I booked my room (five minutes after the reservations page went live.....) Basically you really have to be on the ball with booking a room. But if you miss out on what you want you can always email reservations and be put on the wait list for any given hotel you may have wanted, its always a good plan B just in case you miss out.
