Personally, I haven't really put much thought into what I want to do next year. I have some back up plans in case I can't get something up and running, but I would really like to dress up as Kazuma from S-cry-ed. Sadly, since that requires a lot of molding and such, I doubt that I will be able to get it all done before next year. Haha

Though I would get an early jump on this and start the planning now. Haha

So who is planning to go to Fanime 2013?? Who has already bought their advanced tickets?? Who wants to meet up and hang out with some new people at con?? Hmm?? Well that's what we are planning to do here, well the last part really. So come on in, chat with us here and help us plan for the up and coming Fanime Con and join us for our Thursday night and possibly Friday night meet up.

If you are not aware, we are planning a meet up for Thursday night, around 8pm, location to be determined.

I actually had one concern... is there a way to have a like a speed dating slot where people who are single only meet people who are single as well? Cause I heard that there were a few people, male and female, that went to the speed dating event who were in relationships already.
So like, have some of the speed dating things for people who just want to make new friends and another for those who are looking to hook up/find love?

Well that's what we did in terms of pre registration, but i mean it's impossible for us to really enforce, moreso with walk ins.

YAYA your awesome!!! I can't wait we should definenly come up with more things to do then just dinner. I am so getting in line early for badge pick up so I can be out early.

I do what I can.
I think that this time we can come up with a better location and time for next year too. Dinner is a nice idea, but I know not everyone wanted to do that. I say we do more of something like a formal meet and just talk to each other and then decide if we want to drinks, food or whatever else.
And I hope that next year I wont have to be babying a friend and driving her all over the south bay just because she decided at the last minute to dress up and ship it all to my place. LoL

kind hope this happens next year as well Hoping that I won't be stuck getting my badge all day on thursday so I can attend. i missed the first meet up and was not happy! I want more people next year... and mabye some new ideas for things to do on Thursday and Friday other than dinner...

Don't worry. We will do it again. I will make sure of it. I will be making a new thread soon for a new meet up for next year and when I do I will post a link to it on here and send everyone who was planning to go to this last one a message to sign up for it. :)

To the young lady, with the bright red hair, who was chatting with me in the line for the Sunday evening Speed Dating session, 6pm. I just like to give everyone that showed up a big Thanks and high 5. I'm glad to have meet you guys even if it was just for a few hours, it felt like we known each other for ages.

For those that did/could not make it, let's try again next year.

Hopefully next time we won't have problems on day 0 and the schedule could come out earlier. That should give us more time to actually plan a proper meet up.
