Thank You Tabbychan for pointing out my grave error...My bad...
It's July 10th and 11th... to anyone I have misdirected, You have my sincerest apologies
Haha No problem :] I am planning on attending in cosplay with my boyfriend on either or both days XD so I was a little confusedXD
I started a Facebook page event somewhere :P
should be fun, I had a blast, minus nearly baking in the 100+ degree weather last year. :P
ye ill be there! ill go to the dance lessons also :P
I go every year, though I won't be going to the dance lessons...I have summer session that prevents that prevents that, unfortunately.
I think I will be going to the dance practice on tuesday june 29th.
I asked for the weekend off to go to the festival. I hope I get it so I can go. I always have so much fun and I miss all my friends.
I plan to go Saturday night to have dinner and watch the dancing.
I'm going to go both days :D. Even though I don't know the dances (totally forgot about the practices lol), I'll probably do what I did last year and participate or something o vo.
;D
I'll have to skimp out on Saturday, as it's my parents' anniversary. Down for Sunday though.
I'll have my pictures ready by tomorrow.

So was the Obon Festival worth going to? I'm thinking of hitting the Mountain View one this weekend, but if the SJ one was just "okay", I'll pass on the MV one. (Ugh, parking!)
Thanks!
it really depends on what you look for as "entertainment"
again the terms of "stuff" there is usually a combination of the following:
Taiko Drum performances, Live music and Dance Performances,
LOTS of food [possibly over priced] , flower, crafts, and monk panels
Kids area with lots of ridiculously hard carnival games
so basically it really depends who you go with and what your expectations are.
Personally i had fun, because im a cosplay dork like that.
I thought it was cool, but I definitely wouldn't spend my entire day there. lol
