Messages - IneloquentFormalties

Good luck with the Gathering this year you guys! I'll be there cheering you on from the sidelines! <3
Excited that we've been confirmed for a 4th year! See you guys at fanime!
I think implimenting the 2 hotels per person rule is good but having to have a badge is difficult for people like me who do panels every year where we don't really register until the convention. How is that going to pan out? Would we get refunds at con for panelist reg if we got our badges now? I love this con so very much but these past few years it just seems to get more and more difficult to attend.
Updated with new information concerning the Can Town Project and the Tumblr Post! If you can, please bring canned goods for donation!

As a forward, I will not be adding the attendee's onto the master post! (Between Tumblr, Facebook,, and the forums there are A TON of you.)

Thanks so much guys!

See you in a month!

Hey there kids!

This is the new thread for the 2013 Homestuck gathering!

The organizers this year are working together to make sure this year's gathering will be both fun and organized! (We've come up with a system to make sure that everyone will be able to hear and get called up for shots without having to shove through the crowd! <3)

Oh, and just as an added note because I can not resist, please, please, PLEASE, tell me someone will let us all gather around for a Harlem Shake video. Please.

Scratch that. Read the rules. Nevermind. Sorry.
Oh snap. Could you imagine how many people you could get in on that? I think it'd be cool to do! Perhaps a little after the gathering? (Thanks for reading the rules! <3)

We submitted our panel form for this year! Here's to hoping to goes through! (One more year!) In the meanwhile, are there any things that anyone would be interested in hearing about or learning more about as far as wigs are concerned?
Hey guys!

I'm here to let you all know that I've talked with Olivine and she's offered to hand the gathering over to us this year! As soon as I get the OK from her, we're going to make a new thread on here and on tumblr! In the meanwhile, Here is the link to the thread with updated information!

Day: Sunday
Time: 4pm!
Location: Caesar Chavez Park. (Same Location as last year.)

We've moved the gathering to Sunday because a majority of the gatherings at Fanime are going to be Saturday, also we don't want to clash with the potential Homestuck Panels that are being scheduled for Saturday! (Also, it worked fairly well last year!)
Thanks for reading! We'll see you at Fanime!

Wig Styling 101 back for it's 4th YEAR RUNNING!

What are wigs? Where did they come from? What do they want! Wigs are an important part of cosplaying and can make or break a costume! Join us to find out what you can do to befriend and tame these strange creatures.

Friday May 23rd.
Panel Room 4 Fairmont Hotel

I'm super excited to be hosting this panel for our 4th year! Fanime's come and gone and we've taken important critiques, tips and pointers and we're going to be back better than ever. My cohosts and I have been collectively been styling wigs for over 8 years each!

We're going to be covering topics ranging from

  • Where & Where not to buy wigs.

  • Different kinds of wigs.

  • What materials to use when styling.

  • Where to buy materials.

  • Styling Techniques.

  • Fact and Fiction involving wigs.

  • What not to do with wigs.

  • The beginning of more advanced techniques.

  • Q&A and a demo!

  • Raffle for a Prize basket! (Wig styling materials, wig heads and more!)

We'll have various wigs on display and we'll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have there!

Hope to see you at the panel and if you'd be so kind as to spread the news!

We hope you guys return this year!
Keep on styling!
I never posted who I'd be attending as. Jeeze. I'll be there as Her Imperious Condescension. Scratchman is changing his attendance to Darkleer, and I'll have SheepyStars with me as the Dolorosa, and ZVMcGee with me as the Subjugglator! I can't wait!
"Wigs are an important part of a costume and can make or break the overall appearance! Join us this year and find out what you can do to bring your wig above and beyond what it can be!"

When: Friday May 25th.
Where: Panel Room I
What time:  4pm-6pm

I did receive the SR information for this gathering and like many of you I was concerned with the different locations, especially since Homestruck gatherings across the US have become quite the attraction and I think this gathering will be much larger than the 20 something cospeeps that have said they would attend.

I left a post here and on the C.c thread for shy cosplayer to contact me but have had no luck in receiving a reply. I offered a suggestion to her about having the official gathering at 4:13 @ FMS (which a 100+ cospeep gathering can handle) and then at 5 pm moving to the park (CCPFH - the one with the poo statue) to have games/ random photos/ etc.

There is only 3 days left before I close the Official List and I really would like to get this on there. Anything you guys can do to get a message to shy cosplayer I would appreciate it since she didn't list anyone else as assistants to this gathering.

Thank you

FMS being the Fairmont Marriott Side? Okay. She or one of the other organizers had voiced concerns about this location because the Kuroshitsuji gathering would be being held in the same time and or place? I'm not sure if that had been resolved. I've messaged her on here and tumblr but so far, nothing. I'll let you know if I get a reply and tell her to message you asap.
Hello! Okay, so I had planned to be co-hosting the event with Awkward cosplay and we confirmed running it but I haven't heard from them in over a month. I will assume, unless told otherwise by them, that it is okay to make the nessiscary plans/changes to make this gathering happen. The plan of action we had assumed on taking would be to move the gathering to the park with the Dragon Statue. (Though a little further down towards the fountains. There is ample space there and we wouldn't be in the way of anyone else. This, facing away from the convention center, is to the right and upwards. Quite literally not a 2 minute walk. Does this sound okay with everyone?
Hey there! I've gotten the approval from shy-cosplayer and I started the thead! Linking it here to keep constancy! <3
Hey there! My friend and I have submitted our request for a Wig styling panel this year at Fanime. We hosted one last year and are hoping to come back again. I'm sending you this asking if you'd maybe like to help with the panel and collaborate! If not feel free to run your own panel! the more the merrier! Best of luck!
Sorry! Change of plans on my part, I'll be there as Jack Noir. (Jackspers version)

I'm glad you do! : D That doesn't sound stupid or complicated at all. c: My friend and I have been styling wigs for a long time. 5 years myself, and her around 6-7 years. We were thinking of having the 2 hour panel being made up of the 1st hour, which would be basic styling tips such as cutting/trimming wigs, spiking, what materials to use, where to buy, and different myths and true/false things. The second hour would be more complicated advances methods such as wefting, dying, making your own extensions, sewing things into wigs, stubbing, and a few more things. c:
