Considering pulling out my old Captain Unohana and Aizen for my husband. Debating on whether I should have my sister ship my minazuki plush from my old house or go Kenpachi Unohana and obtain her crazy sword in the next few weeks. Sort of leaning that way only because last time wearing the wig braided in front of my neck was one of the weirdest itchiest feelings ever.  :P

I want to enter in the Masquerade next year, but the rules and categories are very confusing and convoluted. At other cons I'm used to a more straightforward Novice, Journeyman and Master categories and then first, second etc in each for both craftsmanship then Performance. I'm not saying Fanime should copy these rules exactly but the rules about individual versus group and designer awards seems really strange. The way I read is is that a person who made 3 costumes can win a design award, but not a more prestigious Individual craftsman award? I like the advanced versus non-advanced categories but everything beyond that is baffling.

Talking with some people who are also doing F/Z and were wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a Saturday evening dinner meetup? We could do it at a reasonable, but darkish ambiance food place for some great photo ops perhaps. We'll call it our feast of kings. I don't know the San Jose area and have only been to one Fanime so I don't have a lot of input for where this could go down.

Hopefully 2pm Friday works. Suit Saber should be ready to roll, hopefully Iri's boots will be ready in time but the walking foot for the pvc hasn't shown up yet.

Planning on coming as Irisviel and my fiancee as suit!Saber :D Probably only going to do her red blouse outfit as I might not have time for the winter outfit and I'm not sure it would work well with the weather. Kinda bummed by the lack of participants we have so far.
