My craziest moment happened at the end.....I was walking downtown last night to the Pita Pit to grab a bite to eat after clearing everything out of the con (I'm part of the Logistics Staff for Fanime) and this lady started yelling at me out of no where.  I tried to ignore her, bought she ran and caught up to me and started to ask if I knew so and so in jail.....I tried to tell her that my jumpsuit (the orange jumpsuit that Logsitics uses for staff uniforms) is just a uniform and that I didn't break out of prison......At least the guys working at the Pita Pit had a good laugh about it......

It's you!! I was the one talking to you about the Mina doll you had on the counter and how my bf got me the same one from a UFO game in Tokyo.

The dealer's room this year did not seem to have enough of a variety in merchandise. I would have liked to see more movie DVDs and music CDs and music related merchandise...but that's just me. I loved that one dealer with all of the miniature model boxes. I bought a full set of the bakery model. =X

I'm probably one of the last staffers to arrive.  :(

1) We require a government issued photo ID. Also, please please please (with a cherry on top) do not forget your printable postcard. You can get it from your account.

2) Sorry, we need a legal guardian to accompany a child!

I don't know. I rarely see stuff like that happen and I haven't had any experience with it myself. Fanime is a pretty big convention so you'll get all kinds of people. Just keep an open mind and an eye out for your personal well-being.

I like Fanime a lot more. AX is just too impersonal. I feel like I'm going to some industry fair sometimes.

Actually, I've heard that AX counts the numbers of attendees per day. That means people who multiple days are counted multiple times. That said, it's still probably the largest con.

Since you are a group of three that does not qualify as a group registration. You will be going to the normal pre-reg/early reg pick up line. If they change anything at the registration hall, a staffer will be on hand to direct you.

In any case, the printable postcard should be accessible through your account. You will need that along with your government issued photo ID to pick up your badge. I'm not sure what mailed flyers you are referring to. We did not have any mailed flyers last year.

As some other people have said, you cannot pick up your friend's badge. The only time that we will allow someone else to pick up your badge will be for group registration.

Actually, I believe paypal e-checks may take a while to clear. In that case it's probably what FanFicGuru mentioned about transferring money from account to account.

Would the printed receipt from your registration suffice?

By the printed receipt I assume you mean the one you get when you register? or pay?
The printable postcard that I am talking about is different from those two and the postcard is the one we want to see. I hope that clears things up a bit.  :shock:

We implemented the "printable postcard" about a year ago to save costs. It will be available through your accounts soon so yes we are still doing this. I cannot give you a definite date yet. You print out the "postcard" and bring it with you and a valid government issued ID to the con and you'll get your badge. It makes things A LOT easier and faster if you have both of those.

PLAY! will also be running up against the main MusicFest concert for most of the show. Though, if you head over as soon as PLAY finishes, you'll be able to catch Crack 6.
