If we got to take the shuttle there it should be obvious that there should be info about when stuff is happening so we know when to leave.

All video rooms will be in Silver Island....... *sigh* god, I hope this is only this year. because of the shuttle issues I'm going to have to disappoint the encouraging man standing in -10 degree water harvesting Asiatic clams.

Also they said FMV was back.... despite no announcements for entries being made this year... maybe it's a typo and they meant HMV?

I feel like in previous experience sign-up would have happened by now.

I'm a part of the Video team and the reasons for this are not what people think they are. Please note that this isn't because of special knowledge on my part, but I understand how Video works at FanimeCon and the complexity regarding the rights holders and showings.

The Video Rooms not happening is due to the combination of video rights holders as well as entry requirements for the convention center itself. A little known fact is that there are no badge checks for any of the video rooms at FanimeCon. This is because the rights holders allow FanimeCon to show videos, but don't allow FanimeCon to charge for them. This has worked in the past because the video rooms have always been located outside of the badging areas. While some rooms may check for ID for 18+ events, badges are not required.

This year, entry into the entire convention center requires a badge. This is for vaccination verification purposes. Since the entire convention center has restricted access, Video cannot show anything due to not having the rights to charge. I hope this helps people understand why this is the case this year.

For my own events, Midnight Madness and Hentai Music Videos are being held through the kindness and patience of the Programming and Panels teams, but those are special exceptions and it took a lot of work to make it happen.

From the Q&A session at the end of the convention, there is a hope and intention to bring back all sleeping departments (including Video) next year.

Missed this on the group, thanks for repeating it for us HunterZero, hopefully it can comeback 2023.... or failing that, find out the HMV is at the center soon enough that I can finish something and enter (was too late to work on anything when I found out Silver Island wasn't a thing this year ^^; )

Just wondering if there will be an AMV contest besides to hentai one for those of us that can't make it to Silver Island or just would rather make stuff without hentai (no judgement from me i've entered the HMV contest before)

The folks that I normally room with don't have a space for me this year so i've been desperately trying to find someone who will let me stay with them for fanime this year... oh right, my stats! Hotel Information Preferably one that is walking distance, as I don't have a car >_>.... I'll be staying Friday to Monday

Requirements None whats so ever! The most I would possibly ask is a pillow but I DON'T need a bed or anything!

I admit I like this episode, but to me it does not live up to the last episode (ep 24-25 was madness, R2 EP 1 was kinda meh compared to that) it seamed like they used yet another death note-esc element

but really wish it would have taken place a little closer to the events of season 1

mainly because videogame movies have a reputation of being awful. that and I didn't know there was going to be a legend of zelda movie. (thought that trailer was a rickroll?)

maybe kick to the face is not the best choice of words givin the situation, but ya your right, any of the involved parties (the victim, the 8 responisible for the video, the parents or any media) that tries to pin this on anything but those 8 girls(no idea what the 9th said to start this but it was obviously just an intended scapegoat, no one is THAT oversensitive and intends to use a beating to become internet legends) deserves 10 times worse ridicule than whatever was said on these MS pages.

and now my signature has evidence: im not sure about myspace but I think this would be a tems of service no no for you-tube and most video portals. how did they think they would get famous and not get arrested. is there any quotes of what the victem even said to provoke this? (though lets be honest they would have chosen a girl at random if she didn't do anything, something like this was you plan for atleast a few days before you decide on it. no one is that random.) and ofcoarse youtube users and maybe the internet in general is gonna take heat for 8 dumb teenagers

ironcly enough my brothers fiance has a little sister (bout a year older than me) who is soposse to be like my double with the exceptions being subtle differences (except for I wouldn't call me being a dude and she not one as a subtle contrast ;D)

been using windows movie maker to make amvs for a while now and im thinking of actually buying an editor (even though as of now I havent felt restricted but ya never know) was wondering if anyone could tell me which of these are better for working on amvs:

Pinnacle Studio 11 (basic or plus)

a while back (come to think of it was around the time of the last fanime) I got the trial of adobe premere and sony vegas and couldn't figure either of them out... I also tried ulead figured some of it out (more than I did the former 2) but I discovered a problem, that would drive me up the wall, I could figure out any way to empty the library without takeing forever to delelte each clip on by one (BTW if anyone knows how please enlighten me ^^;) and so I was gonna try pinnacle but I didn't find the trial version to see how it works) I figured with that factor I should try to get word of mouth, figured it would be the smarter thing to do than waste $50-100 only to say to myself "forget it! im going back to WMM!". havent upgraded my PC or anything if that narrows it down. I realize its a longshot but I figured someone might be able to know from expierience, any helpful resonse at all would be greatly apreciated.
