The idea of the Black and White Ball is an awesome one. However, in execution, it was quite the opposite. It wasn't really as advertised. The Black and White Ball has a ton of potential as a really fun event and I hope it happens again next year! ...with a few changes:
1. The dress code wasn't really enforced. People who were cosplaying were allowed in no matter what they were wearing so there were a number of people just wandering around in jeans, tshirts and sneakers who convinced the staff they were cosplaying.
2. The room was way too small. But there wasn't really anything they could do about that once a thousand people showed up. Totally understandable.
3. There was supposed to be no techno. There was definitely techno.
4. More fast swings and waltzes please!

Is anyone up for some Puzzle Quest on PSP? I haven't tried the versus mode yet, thought it might be fun.

As the most disorganized person alive... I thought I'd prepare a checklist for anyone else who's forgetful as I am! Please (please please) add on if I forgot anything!

- Photo I.D.
- Pre-reg printout
- Hotel info
- Cash! And whatever ATM & credit cards you need...
- Cameras (normal, digital & video) w/plenty of batteries, memory, tapes, film, cords, chargers...
- cellphone & charger
- watch
- entertainment electronics (laptop, X-Drive, iPod, headphones - all with appropriate cords and chargers)
- COSPLAY:
~ Accessories (weapons, contacts....)
~ Wig, hair stuff
~ makeup
~ The actual clothes part
~ shoes & socks, if required
- Clothes: enough so you can wear CLEAN clothes when you aren't wearing your cosplay! And shoes... wouldn't want to have to wear your cosplay shoes everywhere, especially if they're heels, thigh-high boots or ninja sandals...
- Personal hygiene stuff! Don't smell! (toothbrush, toothpaste, hair stuff, deoderant... whatever)
- School junk (if you're finals start on Tuesday like mine  :cry: )

I'm seeking help deciding between two wigs, which at this point will make or break my costume.

Wig A: The Original
- high quality (doesn't tangle easily, holds the style, nice and thick)
- skin top
- styled
- bangs hacked from proper length, enough to noticeably make it look somewhat silly, thus taking away from the goal of evilness - someone apparently thought it would be fun to take a pair of scissors to my carefully styled wig (this is the only thing that's wrong with this one, but it's pretty major)

Wig B: The Hastily Bought Emergency Replacement
- low quality
- gets frizzy if you look at it cross-eyed
- more accurate color
- slightly wavy (can you straighten wigs? obviously not with an iron)
- thin
- no skin top
- cannot be styled correctly due to poor construction
- there is enough hair in the front, but to divide it correctly, some of the cap shows through

Any help/comments would be appreciated.
