If anyone not on the list IMs you saying that they grabbed your SN from the Fanime BB, please TAKE EXTREME CAUTION. Having been a victim of said 'steal name off of boards and IM' situation, I would wholeheartedly agree to everything Spirit says. Yeah.

As another person this happened to, I urge you to google any specific handle you can find on the person and check their other personal sites for background.  If most of the information matches, but there are a few kinks in what they tell you compared to these sources like, oh, little things like a name or AGE, call them out on it.  But yeah, use your Utmost caution and go with your gut feeling.  If it's starting to look bad, skedaddle.

You can always let a friend borrow your badge or so on. Thats what  i had to do when my friend lost hers. And they were charging $5 for a new one than not ten cents.

I think he meant the lanyard orders.  ^^;  Borrowing a friend's badge isn't a nice thing to do, it's like stealing a badge to let someone who didn't pay the mandatory fee in.  It's not fair to all the people who forked over the cash for membership.

how about a catier for all the days so we don't starve. -bleh- some of us didn't have any food or ddn't want to buy any.

Now I don't know about catiers, but caterers for all the Fanime guests?  At no extra cost to the attendees?  Way not cost effective for the con unless they raise badge prices more.  Then there will probably be a lot of people who wouldn't even eat the food they paid for and there will always be the piggies who take advantage and eat everything in site.  Bottom line: You've paid for a badge, that gets you access to the convention activities.  Need somewhere to sleep?  Need food?  You're going to have to take care of it yourself.

I would rather have Modoki than Mokona..  
Also I would like a soot puff from Spirited away.
