- The Steven Universe gathering was a little bit of a mess.

- With large gatherings, is there a way for the department to provide those cardboard megaphones for check-out or rent so that everyone in the crowd can hear the announcements?

Yeah, I knew it might be a bit out of the loop for the steven universe gathering, and I overestimated the crowd that would be at the gathering at G9 at the time, so somewhat my fault on puting people at x place at y time. I am writing policies to make this easier for me and everyone to understand the rules for what gatherings are (also in the process of preproduction of making a video as to HOW TO RUN A GATHERING, A PHOTOG AND ORGANIZER PROSPECTIVE.)

as for the megaphones, I was thinking of the plastic ones the schools tend to use, however I would do a checkout system for those at front table. its in my list of things of wants and needs.

I would like to get some feedback from what my department did this year, but first some things I know need fixing:

• Gatherings in the books all together (this is always in mind, its out of my hands rn)
• The Moving of Dragon Age gathering (someone went over my head and moved a gathering that could have fit inside just fine)
• No water in hangout(again, out of my hands, lets just say SJCC is "fun")
• Lack of supplies in lounge (I had a list rolling around of things you all wanted)
• Fire emblem gathering and its sprinklers (literally had no clue they were to go on. Facilities will know next year so it hopefully won't happen again.)

But beyond that, What went good, what when bad, etc. Tell me, I do a valve approach to reading this all (I read it all, it doesn't mean I respond to it all.) I will eventually release my letter of con in review. maybe here, meh. I want this department to do more eventually, and if I get it going again, have chopped cosplay again with the hosts we have had in the past do their thing. But again, its only my first year of being the head, so I know I need a lot of growing.

Nope. I make it easy for you guys cause its all the fun in the world to do my end.

again, my bad. I keep seeing the numbers for people going to this gathering, and it MAY move to G10. It will be an at con decision, and if it happens we will point to where it is. again, my bad. my master list and the one that went to print is the one that is going to be printed throughout(thats not the facebook one, im just trying to transfer info from excel to word is fun and copy paste fails....)

So, update is that its still there, and the gardening boys have no instruction so far to remove it. if anything, there is a small lawn more inward of the park that we can use.

finally reading this one all the way through rather than just the Email's i have gotten. You guys make me cry, in a good way. I want the best for our cosplayers, cause that was what the basis of my department was made for. By Cosplayers, For Cosplayers.

I use G10 snake statue as a landmark, the park as a whole is for the gathering, as landmarks are for the better in my opinon. bare with me, im trying to figure out from the gardeners who would have best knowledge in the matter.

Define requests. if its requesting of shots, then at the gathering. otherwise, you have my attention.

I will ask this at the meeting Saturday. Its got my attention now too.

The two staircases in the front entrance of the convention center are often a gathering place for cosplayers, and because of the way they are situated, would those need to be completely closed off or just the parts where one could get up to the second floor? I just don't want cosplayers getting surprised when they see a common gathering area no longer available to be used, whether for just hanging out or actual photoshoots.

This one I can Relatively answer, as I have asked about it several times. So I assume you are talking about G2, and G3. so on the wooden stairs/steps/whatever they is a enterence to the full grander staircases, and that will be blocked off with a blocker. otherwise, it may have a bit more traffic in the area but in general it should work out fine, as they can be used.

EWU and/or rovers head can probably confirm or deny my understanding of what you are asking for.

Cosplay hangout has neon tape for the tip of the gun, also if you don't mind I can hotglue the inside of the barrel and they SHOULD clear it. so long as its not so realistic that it mirrors the real option we can work it for the better.

G1 is my table, an error that I screwed up on, kinda cant have a gathering there.
