Cosplay chess players, anyone? Especially the guy in green with the spoon in his mouth, and the Resident Evil cosplayer who was black king much of the time. You guys were awesome.

I was Apollo Justice on Saturday, and Wriggle Nightbug on Sunday and Monday.

Also looking for the Persona 4 cosplayers who posed with me on Sunday night.

Last year at least had more diversity than this year's; I fondly remember playing Secret of Mana (3-player adventure game) and 4-player Puyo-Puyo last year. Neither was seen this year.

So I was in the H room around 4:40AM on Monday on a whim. Whose bright idea was it to show one of the series in dub?

You should get Espgaluda II if you have a 360 (region doesn't matter) and can afford it. It's great, as is many other Cave shooters.
Or the iPod Touch / iPhone / iPad version, if you're strapped for cash (only about $8-9). It's quite good for a shmup that uses the touch screen for movement.

Quote from: G.S. LXVIII on June 01, 2010, 03:18:17 AMI was disappointed by this year's Console Gaming selection. It seemed like this year it was almost entirely fighters with the occasional FPS and rare appearances of older consoles and scrolling shooters (often the only one available was Ikaruga). But most people who walk into a gaming room want fighters and GH/RB, and if people who don't play those kinda of games have to be shut out just so those who are can play, then I'll just have to accept it.

For future references, which genre of games would you prefer?  We will look up to working a solution to satisfy the masses and those who want to play specific games, as long as people have something to play and monitor people who try to play nonstop.
Scrolling shooters (as implied), 2D platformers, and beat-em-ups.

What time were you at eGaming?

I was there quite a bit; it seemed like the less mainstream games were on mainly late at night.

I was disappointed; no Edgeworths and only one AAI cosplay. :( I think the series is starting to die out.

Anyways, pics!

Impressive gathering (as well as both Touhou panels happening on the same day); looking forward to next year's.

For most of the con I was in a red jacket with a white shirt and a big sword with my boyfriend who was Vash/Alucard. Although I also wore his Vash jacket to karaoke, was carrying around "Team Poland" for the end of Sunday, and at the Swap Meet I was the idiot with the "1 Human for infinity dollars" sign
Yeah, I saw you. I believe I took a pic of you as well. :)
Really, if you find the pic can you link it to me? I've been searching everywhere online for pics because I realized at the very last day that I hadn't taken hardly any. I regret it, next year I'm taking more T_T
Here.

Anyways, who happened to see me? I was some character with red shirt, black apron, and black pants on Friday, Apollo Justice with flat spikes of fail on Saturday, and Wriggle Nightbug on Sunday and Monday.

Border Down, most likely.

I had to put up with them on Saturday, during the Ace Attorney gathering. Fortunately we were quite far away from them, by the front-left wall of the con center.

Also, no supergun this year. I'm pretty sure that isn't Kenchan's fault though.

Banzai Arcade 2: Brilliant sequel to BA1. Faster rate of questions, nice hybrid of JRPG and trivia game elements. Though the game does have balancing issues and bugs to work out; at least Kajet and company were good sports about it ("ALPHA VERSION!").
What the Hell is Touhou?: Not a bad intro to TH. When the speaker went to show a replay I was afraid he was going to show Lunatic mode (and thereby confuse new players); an intermediate stage on Normal is still a bit daunting to new players but at least it was easier to follow and the speaker did a good job of explaining the gameplay mechanics. However, it could use a bigger room (like BA2's) as the audience ended up maxing out all the seats.

I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of game-selling booths in the Dealer's Room this year. Normally there's maybe one that sells games on a variety of platforms, as well as Aksys's booth, but this year only the latter was to be found. I was hoping to use the $100 I got from selling stuff at the Swap Meet on a game I was looking for.

Wait, it happened?

I (idiotically) didn't check the forums before coming to SJCC, and the gatherings list at the con didn't list this one.

Oh well, let's go better next year.
