I'll leave it up to demetria656 to contact you if she wants to help.  She was the only person who contacted me directly when I said that I needed someone to take over the shoot.  As for the order of Photos, here's my advice.

1. Start with the Photoshoot Order list from last year.

2. Make an updated list of the countries/characters that have all said they are coming.  Organize them in such a way that you can get a good grasp of what Photos you can add/eliminate.  For example, start your list with all the Allies (i.e., all Americas, Englands, ect), then the Axis powers, and so on.  If you realize that you don't have enough people from a particular group (maybe there are no Baltics or Nordics coming, or maybe only 1 or 2), then eliminate that Photo or find a way to incorporate those 1-2 people elsewhere.  Also, when listing cosplayers who are cosplaying a certain country/character, pay attention to what version they are doing.  If you have over 4 people doing Rev. War versions of America, England, ect, then you may want to include a Rev. War Photo.

3. Once you've come up with your Photoshoot Order, double-check to make sure you've included every cosplayer....sometimes countries such as Egypt or other minor countries get left out when one sticks to the basic Axis/Allies/Europe/Americas Photogrouping.

4. Start with a group shot, end with a group shot.  People show up late and also cut out early.

5. The day of the shoot, take a good look at who actually shows up.  Modify your Photogrouping according to that.

I hope you have plenty of help....Hetalia is such a big gathering....as long as you have a good plan for dealing with the crowd and noise, and you're organized, things should run smoothly and everyone will have a good time.  ;D

AnimefanJJ, didn't realize you were now in charge...please accept demetria656's help with this shoot.  She helped me run it last year and did an excellent job.  Sorry I can't be there.  Since you seem to know what's going on, I'll let you deal with the photoshoot list and the list of cosplayers.  It's all yours.
#3
Okay gang, working on updating the list.  Please note our location change.....this has to do with the construction ect. and Bsaphire thought this would be our best option.  Also....there's a very high possibility that I won't be able to make it to Fanime  :'(....would someone like to take charge of this gathering?  Preferably someone who helped me last year or has run Hetalia gatherings in the past, as we're a rather large group of cosplayers ;-)  I'm more than happy to keep updating the list, and I can post the basic photoshoot lineup.  But we'll need one person to be in charge, plus about 3-4 people to help run/keep things in order.

I can see IF I can pack an extra cosplay of Prussia! Unfortunately I am kind of dark toned so a white wig would NOT look good on me so I'd prob just be a half-assed Prussia lol

Don't worry about it, we won't judge you!  I for one don't believe in the "only cosplay characters that fit your ethnicity/gender/body type/height" mantra.  You just do what you want to do ;-)

well i feel the same tht they r way too fun to sleep in to but im gna b staying wit my grandma and like every1 takes forever to wake up vuv"

MidnightPrincess94, the problem with going to a later time on Sunday is that we start running into other gatherings.  The Kuro photoshoot is at 3:30pm on Sunday, and I know we have Hetalia people who want to be in that.  Trinity Blood is aiming for 1:30pm, and we have a few Hetalia people (including myself) that are a part of that shoot.  Afternoon/late afternoon photoshoots are very popular, and given the amount of people that the Hetalia shoot always has, trying to have a shoot when everyone else is/or during a busy Con time is problematic.  :-[

I think 1:30 will work fine :-)
#9
Yeah......um....Hetalia is aiming for Sunday at 11am, so I definately need TB to be later than noon....Hetalia (if we get the same amount of people as last year) will likely run OVER an hour and move to another location to finish up the photoshoot.  Even if I bring a simple TB cosplay like Suit!Noelle, it will still take me at least a half an hour to change from Germany to Noelle.  Of course, this is all assuming I can even make it to Fanime, which is still up in the air...

UPDATED first paragraph:
Noon on Sunday can certainly be considered. (Although if Shokora makes it to Fanime she might have Hetalia Sunday morning so be keeping an eye on that one.)
What time is the Kuro planning to be?
Anyone else want to to chime in?

As for location, still going to trust to B's scouting stuff out there to help us. I will do my best to keep us out of hot sun, which if we do a noon shoot the temperature can be a concern.
I don't think water spraying from the fountain will be an issue anymore--from what we're seeing on the reconstruction, looks like the water is being replaced with plants....
But I'll also be sure we have a spot to avoid being bumped around for those with bigger costumes or special fabrics and props.

@manik_semiramis: you would "ditch" appearing to Cain at Fanime? LOL
Whatever you wear, I'm sure we'll have fun.

Yes, there are a lot of big gatherings on Saturday.  So is everyone okay with Sunday at 11am?  As for the location, yeah....I heard about the removal of the fountains, ect.  I know Bsapphire was going to keep us organizers posted regarding photoshoot locations....but at the moment, we can stick with our location from last year, which was: FiF CE = Fountains in Front (Convention Entrance).  After our time is up, if we still have more shots to do, is everyone okay with moving to the Aztec/snake/giant poo statue?  For those of you not familiar with it, it is a statue with some park-ish area around it and it is a very short walking distance from the convention center.  We would move en masse, so even if a few people don't know how to get there, we should all make it just fine.  So, the rundown:

Day: Sunday
Time: 11am
Place: FiF CE = Fountains in Front (Convention Entrance)
Post-photoshoot location: Aztec/snake/giant poo statue

Alright gang, I'm going to start making the cosplay list.  There is a good chance this year that I won't be able to make it to Fanime....however, I'll go ahead and set up this gathering....but as Fanime gets closer, I may have to step down as organizer and hand the gathering over to some of my helpers ;-)  Hopefully not, but I'll know by the beginning of March for sure.  Anyhow....as for date/time/place....any good ideas?  Last year's date/time/place was fine, but with so many cosplayers, we weren't able to do all the shots that we wanted before we had to vacate the area for the Bleach shoot.  The thought to meet at a different location directly after the main shoot to continue was proposed, but it didn't actually happen.  Maybe try again this year?   Perhaps, keep roughly the same date/time/place but actually plan a second location to continue the shoot if needed?

;D Time to start a new thread!!  Our last gathering went very well, though we have a few things to work on.  One thing we are considering is having the photoshoot at a location *away* from the convention center, like in the park (still within a short walking distance) so we can have longer than an hour for our pics.

Day: Sunday
Time: 11am
Place: FCC HS = (Front of Convention Center Hilton Side)
Post-photoshoot location: Aztec/snake/giant poo statue

Organizer: Please see 1st post here: http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,13396.0.html

Thanks, B!  I checked it out!  While I'm not sure if I can make it to Fanime next year, I'll go ahead and organize next year's gathering with the help of my cohorts, and if I need to hand the reins over as the con gets closer, then I will ;-)

Obliviousedward, thank you for the link!!!!!!  I was too busy running around to get photos myself XD

whitexotaku, yeah, we ran out of time to just do a pairings shot (we did rivalries/pairings) and didn't have the staffing to move the photoshoot to another location.  The plan for next year is to consider scheduling a location where we wouldn't HAVE to move...so a location that is not right next to the convention center...like the park ;-)

The gathering was fun but I was really disappointed that the group did not journey to the park for fun afterwards- I'd like to see a long event next year!

Somebody, this had been discussed.  The problem was, no one volunteered to take over the shoot when we finished in our given time slot.  Several of us on the committee (including myself) needed to leave after Hetalia due to cosplay changes and for the mandatory Masquerade rehearsal.......so.....maybe next year, we can try for the park again ;-)

And now for my group announcement:

Hey everyone!  Thanks for making Hetalia 2011 AWESOME!   Special thanks to those on my committee....I couldn't have done this without you!!!  You were all on the ball ;-)  To everyone who participated in the shoot, thanks to you guys for actually listening to us!  Our goal was to have an organized but FUN shoot!  It's really tough when a gathering gets to be so large; trying to make sure everyone can hear, see, and get the shots they want can be a challenge.  HUGE THANKS to everyone for working together to make this a great experience!  I would like some feedback regarding things you all liked/disliked so we can continue to improve this gathering.  Grant it, some things we can't change, but we can do our best!   Vielen Danke!!!

hehe, that was kinda interesting to see someone else being mistaken for me xD
although I'm kinda confused because I only singed up through this forum thread, but oh well.
I should be going as Gakuen Hungary for the shoot but I'll also be going to the Black and White ball as formal hungary~

:D Cool another Hungary cosplayer! It is a bit strange being confused for someone else, see you at the gathering! (If I can go Sunday  :-X)

The confusion was totally due to me....it's really hard for me to remember who is who when people have one screen name on the cosplay.com forums and another on the fanime forums....I couldn't remember if you were both the same person or two different people, lol!

Hello! I am hoping to make it to Fanime on Sunday and I hope I can come to your gathering, at least for a little while.  :D
If I do go I will be going as Hungary (you have so many!) dressed in a mix of a traditional outfit and her maid outfit. I hope I can stick around for the black and white ball as well if my outfit is considered formal enough. I hope to see everyone's cosplays!

I'll be cosplaying Poland with a GIANT Polish flag, the costume itself isn't entirely based of Hetalia though, it's more of a replication of an authentic Polish WWII uniform.

It sorta counts right?

Lol! Since you are, at the moment, our ONLY Poland, I'll allow it  ;)  If we can tell you are Poland, then it should be no problem.
