- Bringing your own consoles or PCs/Laptops or to set up and play at eGaming grounds is prohibited!
- [PC Gaming: Digital Storm is providing high-end PCs for FanimeCon!
- Do NOT take equipment that does NOT belong to you! While FanimeCon supports the fans, we oppose theft.
- Please treat the equipment with professional respect.
- If people are waiting to play, please show respect others to play the game too. The potential exception is if we have a versus-based game available (excluding music games), in which winner can stay and loser gives away his/her spot.
- You may customize some game options. However, it isn't recommended.
- Customizing console settings is strictly prohibited.
- Attaching non-controller devices like storage devices is strictly prohibited.
- To respect the arcade's services provided for FanimeCon, we will not provide free gaming for specific games unless it's used for tournaments only (example: Super Street Fighter IV). See the list of arcades for more details (click here). (http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,13241.0.html)
- Arcade Gaming is NOT the same thing as eGaming!!! Arcade Gaming will have their own help desk booth!!
- Follow con etiquette! Yes, this includes showering, brushing your teeth, washing your hands after certain events, and so forth.
- FOOD, DRINKS, OR ANY LIQUIDS IN BOTTLES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED NEAR EGAMING!!! We are VERY STRICT on this policy.
- Announcements will be highly updated on Twitter during con! Please KEEP UP-TO-DATE OR ELSE YOU'LL MISS OUT!!
- For more information on the rules, please click on the tournament links above.
- For all tournaments, the latest patch will be updated. The ONLY exception is Street Fighter X Tekken due to a critical; game-breaking bug on the latest patch, which won't be fixed until June. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suWtSPuKiRs)

- Tournament interference is PROHIBITED!
Entry Cap information:
- 128 Entrants for most tournaments in single-elimination.
- 32 Entrants, if double-elimination exists.
- Specific tournaments or contests DJ Hero are undefined. Such tournaments have special rulings. See specific event for details.
Tournament Registration Policies (IMPORTANT!!):
- All tournaments marked with a ??? are TBA. Stay tuned for more details.
- Tournament registration for ALL tournaments start on Friday @ 10 AM at the eGaming station.
- Tournament sign-ups can only be shown the day of that tournament. For example, you cannot sign up for a Sunday tournament on a Friday or Sunday.
- All game tournaments are first-come first serve. Please register early. We will not be doing pre-registrations!
- In case specific tournament slots are filled, there will be a reserve list. While we cannot guarantee a spot, please show up still!
- Check in begins 1 hour before the tournament and ends 15 minutes before the tournament starts. You MUST be present at those times, EVEN if you are on the possible waiting list!! If your name is called and you don't show up, expect to be axed out of the tournament; others on the waiting list WILL replace you. In other words, if ya snooze, ya lose.
- Stay in line! There will be multiple registration staffers to assist you. You can sign up for more than one tournament. If you are that hardcore, you can sign up for all the tournaments if you wish, but think carefully.
- You can only go the line station only once. Once you register for your tournaments, that's it. No more going back in line, so think carefully.
- Don't be a bonehead and simply sign up for every tournament you feel interested in signing up for just to secure a spot and then later NOT show up. We know who you are, so don't even dare pull that!!!
- During the tournament, do NOT leave!!! If it's an emergency such as a potty break or participating in another tournament, LET THE TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER AND STAFFER KNOW. If you show up late, expect a forfeit.
- Cutting in line is prohibited. If you are caught cutting in line, you will be sent to the back of the line.
- Once you leave the line for any reason, you can't go back to your spot.
- Signing up other people in tournaments is prohibited. Singles tournaments are no exceptions at all. However, team tournaments may be an exception to "signing up other people" rule. I suspect that everyone in the team show up. Otherwise, good luck competing against the opposing team.
Specific Games:
- To compete in any handheld event or tournament, you must have your own legit game. Some games may use only 1 game, but please do not rely on that at all. Bootlegged ROMs will not be accepted.
If you have any questions, feel free to post. If it's tournament-related, feel free to post on the appropriate threads or this one or PM the tournament organizers (usually the poster of the rules). If it's private, please PM Jonas (head), Diego (co-head), or Cameron or JT (Seconds / Shift Leads) and we'll see what we can do. If it is something that you want to discuss with us between you and staff, email
[email protected] at any time. Thanks.

"Yes" to a Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations tourney~ (an ANIME fighting game at an ANIME convention please!)
This game would be awesome to have in the console gaming room (Gundam vs. Gundam EXVS).
Look, even Sakuracon is streaming it: http://www.twitch.tv/sakuracon2012
Would love to see the game tournaments on stream. i be going to fanime but yea would pretty sick.
any word that skullgirls might be added to the list?
Another quick reminder:
We are in full gear of reading every response possible of what you guys want. This includes Naruto, Gundam Vs. Gundam, and the longly awaited Skullgirls.
Version 2.0 List should be released soon. Stay tuned! ^_^
Regarding the Dance Central 2 tournament, I have three questions.
First, what songs are we able to choose for rounds? Basically, are DC1 and DLC songs part of the available choices? I don't care too much if DC1 songs are in it or not, but since I don't have any DLC songs (nor plan to get them) I just want to confirm what the selection for the tournament is.
Second, are the rounds just normal co-op dances or will they be in Dance Battle mode? Either is fine, but I've found some great hype in Dance Battle that would be nice to see for the tournament.
Third, will freestyle mode be turned off? By doing so, songs will have the full set of dance moves they intended to have instead of removing some just for the cheesy freestyle photo session. Of course, there is still some novelty value in that, but nonetheless I shall inquire.
Soul Calibur V - Score Attack? What does that mean?

As far as song choices go, there wil not be any dlc tracks nor will there be DC1 tracks. The tourney will be in Dance Battle mode. Freestyle will be off.

is it possible to get SFxT to be 2 vs 2? haha i mean i don't mind it be 1 vs 1 but just for laughs 2 vs 2 would be pretty funny xP
Oh my, I see E-Gaming has evolved quite a bit! Well well...I guess a veteran chose wisely to return =)

Why not do both 1v1 and 2v2? xP
I'll be there for SFxT. We should really get someone to stream the fighting games and maybe even start a buy-in for prize incentives? Just throwing that out there.
I see that Soul Calibur V got updated as far as that weird 'score attack' thing goes. Now I can ask my real question. Are there any bans on Custom characters / Devil Jin moveset? I know some tourneys ban them because of buggy hitboxes and custom parts that can obscure and mask animations. I just wanna know if I finally have to get around to learning anti-DJ.
Are FightSticks going to be provided?
Nevermind. Found out.
Revision 2.0 has been updated! Please check for updates done today (5/13). Thanks! ;D
P.S. That Score Attack was a post typo. Disregard that. #oops. ;D
NOTE: This is NOT the final list! Revision 3.0 will be the final list, which should be up next Monday!

All special characters are banned, this includes customs and any non-standard moveset. (Sorry for the late reply.)
...So there won't be ANYTHING for the 360?
Man... guess that makes my FightStick and my Phoenix Wright training useless then...
Anybody wanna share? :c
Oh nooo, I just noticed something..
If I only wanted to play SFxT (6PM Saturday), I would still have to register at 10AM on Friday?

Register on Saturday between 10AM - 5PM (or until slots are full). ^_^
Will Pokemon Tournaments be organized better this year? The past few yours it's been really confusing about rules and location. Hopefully we won't be shooed away in the corner again on the floor =_=' *crosses fingers*

It should be. Rulesets should be up soon.
Also, there will be a designated table(s) for handhelds this year. This includes the 3DS Street Pass and the Pokemon tournaments. =)
"Tournament sign-ups can only be shown the day of that tournament. For example, you cannot sign up for a Sunday tournament on a Friday or Sunday."
Er...typo?
And it also says that tournament sign-ups for "ALL tournaments" start on Friday at 10AM. I'm kind of confused. :s
Soooo, lemme get this straight....
If I want to participate in a Friday event, I have to show up on Friday at 10AM and I can only sign up for events held on Friday.
If I want to participate in a Saturday event, I have to show up on Saturday at 10AM and can only sign up for events held on Saturday. I will also be unable to sign up for Saturday events on Friday.
Did I get it right? o.o
Is there a minimum age for participating? I want to participate in the tournament for Dance Central 2 and I'm 13.

There is no age limit to any of the tournaments. So, you can enter the Dance Central 2 tournament. =)
However, for the games that focus to the older audience like Catherine, parental/guardian guidance is suggested.
I guess me hosting Bomberman Land on the Wii was considered a joke for a little while. :( But here's the rules to back it up.

Frankly I'm very disappointed that nothing fighting related is being offered on the 360, especially with the bring your own controller rule. I provide sticks for my tournament and allow people the option to choose from out sticks or provide their own. I recommend that sticks be offered for competitors who want to enter but do not have a PS3 stick nor have a dual mod stick.

A quick note: We do have some PS3 TE /Sanwa-Modded SE Fightsticks ready for use in the tournaments. We are very aware about this issue. We also allow others to bring sticks; surpringly enough, some of these competitors will lend you sticks. ;D

And also what are the rules for Melee/Brawl? Any character banned?
Will all of the characters/outfits be unlocked for DC2?

Was just notified about the Street Fighter x Tekken update.
All games will be updated, EXCEPT for Street Fighter X Tekken, due to the game-breaking glitch. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suWtSPuKiRs) The game will be using an older patch, but will be heavily spectated for infinite combos.

Neither. I meant to say Single Elimination Bracket. Its one on one against each other. Just reach to the top or make your opponent fall. Winner moves to next round. Plain and simple.

Shout outs to all the returning Rufus players then ::)
Also, I read in the schedule that eGaming is 24/7? Is that every tournament game?

eGaming is 24/7 for casual play. Tournaments listed will last whenever the final rounds are up, often will end around 2-5 hours, depending on the tournament traffic.
DAY 0 BEGINS NOW!!

This may be extremely late, but if possible could we please have Guilty Gear XX Accent Core available as a game at E-Gaming?
I remember it was a really big issue last year because none of the staff members had the game on them and attendees were not allowed to provide their own copies of the game.
Thanks!
Any BlazBlue experts wanna teach me the game by beating me down? Lol! I just got into it about a week ago.
Since FanimeCon is over, please place all feedback here. Thanks (http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,17422.0.html).
EDIT: Topic unlocked.

2012 official feedback is done, we are in planning mode for 2013; PC-gaming discussion can go in here for now until the 2013 thread goes up.
For those curious about who supplied our PCs for FanimeCon 2012, Digital Storm (http://www.digitalstormonline.com/) (Bay Area local!) helped us out. I cannot comment on if they will return but they did enjoy their time with us this year!
I think I have a pretty good idea for the next Street Fighter X Tekken Tournament, how about we go 2 v 2? Personally I think it'd be fun to see if any of us fighting gamers could join together with a partner > : D
Why are most of the fighting games PS3 only? >:(

Why are most of the fighting games PS3 only? >:(
xbox360's controller are pretty difficult to play on and most majority of the community prefer the PS3 controller over 360 version. I tried the controller I can't do well with uppercut or even fireball that well compare to the PS3 controller. PS3 controller remained the same since I grew up playing the SNES controller. I already understand if they like to get use to all console they should stick to the fighting stick.
my 2013 FG wishlist:
SFxT with updated version & dlc characters...
If you guys need help, I can possibly lend my PS3 (system only)
AquaPazza --there will be a handful of entrants, trust me!
I can provide a copy of the game
Darkstalkers Ressurection (Vampire Savior)
Need more of Vampire Saviors
Tekken Tag Tournament 2?
- 1 v 1, best of 3
- No solo mode
- Winner must stick to their team and losers can switch out characters.
- Stages are random, unless the two players agree to a specific stage
- DLC characters included
I have the game also
Hi, I was wondering if there could be a tournament or event for fire emblem awakening? Something where we can all meet up in the gaming hall and either battle each other or just streetpass.
Hey there I saw in the League of Legends topic in Gaming, a staffer by the name of Xepherian said you guys were organizing a LoL tournament for the con? It was about a month ago, and I just wanted to know if that was a thing that was still going on? My team would be extremely excited to participate in such an event and I'm sure plenty of others would too!
I know a decent bit about setting up tournaments, since I know you need to go through RIOT to officially set one up, and it's not too hard of a process, just minimum specifications and that's it really. I would be happy to volunteer to contact RIOT to get more information if you guys need it~
will there be an official 2013 eGaming thread posted in here or somewhere?
and will the official rules, sorta similar to the very first post in this thread, be posted somewhere in here too?
