You should contact your department head. Some departments have no restrictions and others may limit your cosplay. It varies from department to department.
For the Telegraph Office at Clockwork Alchemy, we want volunteers in steampunk outfits. Our messengers get a blue telegraph messenger cap and an "Aetheric Messenger" badge. Operators get a green eyeshade. We do a real steampunk telegraph office.
wow, do they get to keep those items? I might want to work for you ;)

Cosplay Gatherings allows our staff to cosplay, and we have photographers.
Dealers allows cosplay as long as it doesn't impede mobility or sight.
Info desk allows as long as people who want to take your picture wait till you have no one at the desk looking for help
Additionally when a staff member is not on shift, they are allowed to cosplay, as at that point they are for all intents a congoer...unless I missed a memo and that is no longer the case.
I cosplay while working. Main thing to suggest is contact your lead, and if you do cosplay, nothing that will hamper your vision and movement and you are solid.
