I want to work Cosplay again this year, but I don't know who to contact. Could you please post the contact(s) for Cosplay? Thank you so much!

Lolz! Thanks, Usako. :)

Sugar Clay Cafe has a lot of really kawaii goodies, and I know she's been working on some new designs. Can hardly wait to see the new stuff! :D

I won't be in AA this year, but I make Loli hats - real milliner's hats, made of buckram, wire, silk, and vintage and modern trims. No web site yet, but pm me if interested. I'm in the process of taking pictures for upload, plus I'll be wearing them around con.

Well, for those of us who already pre-reg'd (not knowing if we made staff or not), where/when do we pick up staff badges? Or does that info come later? Thanks :D

Join the club. ;D I pre-reg'd with other friends, but then joined staff. Such is life. Department heads will figure it out, assuming we've worked the required number of hours for reimbursement. I'm just looking forward to a great time, as always!  :D

Is it possible for there to be a staff email list re meetings? I missed the last meetings because I missed tweets, but I've never missed an email.

The WBC makes its money the old-fashioned way: by suing the crap outta people. They want to inflame people enough to incite attacks on themselves, so they can go to court and sue the attacker and receive $$$ compensation. (Phelps himself is a lawyer.)

Seriously. They're a bunch of fame-whores.

Best defense? IGNORE THEM. When you read articles about what they've done, you'll notice that the more people ignore them/block them from the protest site, the shorter their protests are. One radio station even offered the WBC air time to share their views on the world if they cancelled their protest. No dice. The WBC never responded to the station's invite, because that would mean skipping the planned protest and missing out on potential money-making opportunities.

If you must counter-protest, do so peacefully. WBC has no ammunition against peaceful, loving protesters.

Peace out, all y'all. :D

Staff & Volunteers / Re: Fanime 2009 Staff Feedback

I REALLY want to staff Fanime next year (after five years of happy attendee-ing). I dropped a line to Cosplay, but haven't heard back yet. I'm over 18, so late hours aren't a problem, and I live here in San Jo so I can attend any meetings needed.

Could someone please contact me? Or who do I need to write to directly? Any help appreciated!

Hi everyone -

I need a dealer's info ASAP. They overcharged me by $600! Yes, SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS.

They were the dealer catty-corner from the entrance, in the farthest corner, along the wall with the exit door. They were at the far end of the exit row, and had t-shirts and exotic weapons. I want to say they were across from another weapons dealer, but don't quote me on it. Their business name comes up as Fantasy & Hobby on my account.

Does anyone have their contact info? I need my money credited back to my account!

EDIT: Update -  it's okay at the moment. I found their contact info, so I called and she said it was backed off as soon as they realized what they did. I'm keeping an eye on my account to make sure the money reverts back to me.
