Haha xD gintama sports... hmm I'm cosplaying as Otae xD I could ride shinpachi like a snowboard and use his glasses as a steering mechanism hahaha!

Ah ha ha!  That would be something to see!

Hi, B -  I'll be cosplaying from Gintama (Silver Soul Gintama) as well:  Sagaru Yamazaki (I'll have a badminton racket but NOT his PoT outfit)  ;)

Ohh ^_^ nice! xD haha I actually like Yamazaki! And that'll be interesting :) I'm kind wondering if the Shogun will show up!! HAHA that'll be hilarious xD

Oh oh are you going to have the birdie too? cause I could bring my racket and we can play badminton!! xD

Yes, will have birdie.

Yay! :) We should have a mini tournament!! xD

Set that up and I'll be there in my Gintama cosplay with my badminton racket.
I'll even bring a Prince of Tennis partner although she'll probably try to play with a tennis racket...

Soon!

The excitement and anticipation just hit me.

It's so quiet and everyone around me has such 'bland' hair.
I still have Expo to look forward to but I'd rather have Fanime!!

The ENTIRE Gong Show

The Gong Show was surprisingly 'mild' this year compared to last year's.

I actually left during the break 'cause I got bored.

Crunchyroll live shenanigans.

It rained while I was in line for Musicfest.

I thought "Fanime + rain = disaster" but it was more 'tame' than I thought; the majority of cosplayers just ignored it.

I will commence packing very soon seeing as how I'm due to leave for San Jose in 6 hours.

I have 4 pairs of footwear to pack this year... ugh.

Mine's got a whistle and flashlight.

Radio Shack!!

I'm guessing there'll be a drizzle tomorrow morning but clear up for the rest of the weekend for Fanime, just like last year.

Dealers Room / Re: Anyone lining up REAL early?

The only thing that I've come across while looking through the Fanime dealers page that's worth lining up for are the Cosmicbreak wall scrolls.
Not a fan but the fact that they only have two available means there's going to be two happy 'earlybirds.'

Catherine Sound Disc and Art Book (unopened, Japanese pre-order item)
Catherine Postcards (unopened, Japanese pre-order item)

Do you know where you're located yet so I can make a dash for these?

It's really windy right now, here in the north bay.

Bad for my hair that takes 2 hours to style.  ;)

I'm betting there'll be many people who will be scurrying for a partner.

I, for one, will be grabbing whomever is available within the vicinity.

It seems all the grab bags from a booth will contain basically the same things, is what I found.
Back in '08, the Anime Depot grab bags all contained this one mecha DVD; still unwrapped somewhere in my closet.

Some things that got more 'attention' than deserved were deformed plushies, plastic/fake candy, manga with missing covers, and the good ol' nude gashapon figure.

I've never found anything in a grab bag that was really worth it but a friend of mine got a 'Shining Wind' figure last year which I thought was really cool.

The weather is incredibly random in California to a point of annoyance,
It was raining dogs yesterday but today was really warm and sunny.

This year might be the first Fanime since 2000 to have rain in the forecast. If it does rain, I hope it isn't a storm.

Didn't it rain last year on the morning of Day Zero?

I remember waking up, in San Francisco, to a thunderstorm and while on my way to San Jose noticed rain in the south bay too.

My group of friends and I always purchase at least one grab bag from any booth, sit around, and have a hell of a time opening and making fun of the things we find in there; it's a tradition.

If I'm not already preoccupied in something, I'll show up; I'm cosplaying Kamui.
