I'm going to attempt Twilight Sparkle for next year; some friends may be joining in, but I'm not entirely sure. If so, there will be an Apple Jack (or possibly Rainbow Dash - she's not sure which she'd rather do, but it's looking like it's going to be Apple Jack). I'm also trying to convince another friend to be Fluttershy.

What makes me sad is that my seamstress friend despises the ponies. She'd honestly be a PERFECT Rarity.

I am making some Wonderbolts hoodies for a possible costume. Might even have a whole team.

I will in all likelyhood not be cosplaying (although there's still plenty left of season 2 so... watch out!) but I am excitedly counting down to ponies.

You can always show up without saying your going ahead of time, signing up for gatherings ahead of time also doesn't mean you have to attend them it's just so Fanime staff can get an idea for how big the gathering might be.

Hi, myself and a group of friends are doing the ponies. Each of us will be one of the six main ponies humanized. I'm going as Twilight Sparkle. Touya no Miko, our groups should totally take pictures together!

Our group has three guys so they'll be the colt versions of their ponies.

We were also thinking of doing a masquerade skit.

Cannot wait to get my Pony on!!!!

Ill try and get a humanized colt rarity cosplay done by convention time. I might change Rarity (Colt) to Octavia (Colt). also where is FCC HS

I'd love to possibly cosplay as Rainbow Dash or Derpy.

I just wanted to send an update:

I will no longer be cosplaying Twilight Sparkle; instead I'm going to be the Princess Luna & Night-Mare Moon for my group. I do not know everyone's names on here (or if some of our group has even registered on the forums), but we have the following:

"Mane Six" + Derpy Hooves, Big MacIntosh, Princess Celestia, and myself as Princess Luna & Night-Mare Moon.

I'm attempting to convince my boyfriend to be Discord... it's not going too well. XD He's not a fan of the ponies (which is why he'd be perfect for Discord, but... c'est la vie).

Post-script edit: Our Rarity (if still attending) is going to be a Colt version! And I think I managed to convince my boyfriend to be Discord. And assuming this is during the day... I'll be Princess Luna. NMM is only for the night. ;)

It really depends on what day and time for me ( like if it was to close to the Final Fantasy Gathering >.<)  But i'd really like to go as Fluttershy.

Some changes to my group's roster:

- Our Big Macintosh is now going to be Vinyl Scratch.
- HOWEVER, we may have a new Big Macintosh. It's a matter of convincing him to go to Fanime.
- We now have a Spike.
- Our Rainbow Dash has been really aloof as to whether or not she's even attending Fanime. So she's being demoted to a 'Maybe'.

I am cosplaying as Rainbow Dash, and my friend is Pinkie Pie. Both of us are in San Jose, and not too far from the Convention Center

The costumes don't have to be perfect, and we are not doing anything to look like actual equines, it's mostly a themed-type costume. Just think, what would the mane 6 wear if they were human??? and if we do get enough, I was thinking of maybe doing a masquerade skit, with us performing to Grand Galloping Gala or Winter Wrap-Up and possibly the Pinki Pie leaked song "Smile"

Depending on the day/time, I might be able to attend as Pinkie Pie in her Gala outfit. It's a huge maybe though, since the CLAMP gathering will be on Saturday around 1 pm, and if the MLP gathering is around noon on the same day then it'd be a bit of a time conflict for me. ^^; If I can attend though, I might be bringing a Twilight Sparkle and a Rainbow Dash with me, but I'd have to ask them first.

This would be adorable, omfg. I was actually thinking of possibly snagging my Pinkie's costume for the freestyle karaoke, and doing "Smile, Smile, Smile!"

But I highly doubt my crazy-wide hips would fit her tiny clothes. XD

P.S. Our Apple Bloom has run into money problems, and won't be able to attend. D:My group's Apple Bloom is now a 'maybe'. And unfortunately, it looks like we're most likely losing our Fluttershy, as she's moving to Oregon.... soon-ish.

Ah, shoot. This is the same day as my Vocaloid gathering. xAx; I'm not one for multiple costumes in a day, but perhaps I could try and make an exception, I suppose. It's still kind of a maybe though, since I'll be doing Pinkie's Gala dress and Miku's already a cosplay that takes a decent amount of prep-work (so many accessories...) so I'm not entirely sure if cramming two big costumes into a single day would be a great idea for me. ^^; We'll see, I guess; I'd definitely love to go!

Bummer we won't be able to be there on Friday when you're having your gathering, but will any of you be still cosplaying MLP late Saturday? My friend has an amazing Derpy quadsuit that he's invested much time and money into that he's just finishing and he's really sad he can't make it! D: (Since I know you guys are all set on Friday now)

Yay! Or should I say, yay... XD because I'm gonna be Fluttershy. ^_^ If I don't have a yellow outfit by then, I'm gonna be wearing a pink and teal/greenish dress with a scarf/sash that has her cutie mark. And of course Fluttershy's hair and a pair of angel wings, hopefully died yellow by that time. Whatever happens, I'm gonna be Fluttershy. I just hope my outfit is up to the cosplay standards of my fellow Bronies/Pegasisters

FCC HS = Front of Convention Center, Hilton Side  Judging by the photos posted in the gatherings list sticky thread, it'll be at the walkway between the Hilton and the construction site where the old Main Library used to be.

Just a little update on my cosplay. I'll still be cosplaying as Rainbow Dash, but at one point during the convention I might switch to cosplay as Shining Armor along with my friend who will be Princess Cadence. This is still a maybe though.

Okay, so I've had some serious ebay and money issues, and Gossamer Wing/Showgirl Rarity is on the back burner for now. >_<; That being said, as it turns out, I have all the pieces for a Queen Chrysalis cosplay, so I'll be doing that instead. ^^

Hey Everypony! Heh, Ive been looking for an excuse to use that phrase. This year Ive constructed a mobile DJ station, utilizing my own portable power source, professional grade controller/mixer, MB Pro and HD studio monitors (speakers) and I am currently planning on spinning all over the convention, popular mainstream, classics, fan favorites, anime titles etc. However, I put together a MLP mix, which I was planning on playing for fun just about anywhere however when I read about this gathering, I thought it might be cool to play my "MLP FIM: Fanime Is Magic" set there! I just wanted to gauge whether or not this would be okay with the majority of those involved.

I would hate to show up and ruin a perfectly awesome cosplay event/gathering, I'll be around the convention for limited periods of time throughout the weekend playing regardless but I really enjoy the series, community involved and would prefer to debut the mix there to start. Here's looking forward to a fun filled weekend!

Update on my part here- A change of plans should allow my friend to attend the gathering in his Derpy Hooves quadsuit! Can't wait for all the fun!

FYI i'm still going as Raity, but one friend (sliverxplayer) is being princess Celestia, and the other (i dont know her fourm name) is comming as Princess Chrysalis ><

It really was an awesome gathering, I was very impressed with results of everyone's hard work and effort!

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to all the attendees who were so very positive about my "MLP: Fanime Is Magic" DJ Set. I put alot of effort into that mix and my only goal was to compliment the gathering with some mood music. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves!

Got back from Fanime a while ago, and I wanted to say that this was a great gathering.  While I've been to other gatherings, it's always been as a photographer.  This was my first time on the other side of things and I had a great time.  Thanks to Marisuga for organizing this and to everyone for making it so great! :D

This gathering was amazing! The DJ was excellent and the cosplayers were fabulous! I would suggest that you maybe tape off a photographer area? Many photographers were rudely standing up straight flailing their arms and camera about in the front row instead of crouching, even upon request, while others in the back were forced to get back-of-head shots. Other than that, great job organizing!

Awesome gathering, it was so much fun to take photos with all of you! I second the idea of having some photographers crouch next year though; my girlfriend had trouble getting photos of me and the other two Gala Pinkie Pies while we were up there. D:

Oh, and I have a bit of an embarrassing question/request! I'm sure this is a long shot, but there was a Big Mac cosplayer who later cosplayed as Dirk Strider (at least I think he was Dirk; I haven't read Homestuck yet!) at the Black and White Ball. I'm just wondering if anyone here knows him (or if he's been in this thread?) who could possibly have him shoot me a message or something; I was the Galloping Gala Pinkie at the Ball. c: (Sorry, this is so embarrassing to ask. xD; )

Last minute mishaps rendered my cosplay group without MLP cosplay, which meant we weren't insanely upset for missing the gathering while being stuck in line. I hope the gathering will be a bit later Friday afternoon or another day next year so we can attend though, as we hope to have everything well done by then!

Even though EQD has never been really big on cosplay, it's worth a shot, and if whoever wants to submit to EQD wants to toss my photos into the mix, they're welcome to do so.

Not sure if you're starting a list of attendees yet, but I will be there as Pinkie Pie while my friends will be there as Rainbow Dash and Derpy Hooves.

Loved being there as Princess Luna, even if my dress was in danger of ripping during the entire con (not to mention all the bending at the MLP gathering). as it is, we had to repair my dress no less than 3 times in our hotel room.

Not sure about the rest of my group, though I'm planning on being (The Great and Powerful) Trixie for next year; our Derpy (B1polarAng3l) may be joining again as Photo Finish (I need to ask her if she still plans on it - my wig for another cosplay is perfect for PF, and she was really interested in being her).

i'll be there as twilight sparkle (again). hopefully in her bridesmaid dress. :]

Hi there! As long as the gathering is Saturday, we should be able to make it. If it changes to Sunday, we have to go to the FMA meetup, meet up with old friends, and take a short photo op and will more than likely miss it :c But, all the same, we have quite a few people going with myself.
I'll be Rainbowdash, momiko will be Applejack, my friend will be Big Mac, OneTrickNomad should be coming as Spike, and we may or may not (very doubtful right now) be having a Twilight Sparkle coming with us. Hope that this gathering works in our favor so we can all go! :3

Sorry, My other 60+ gathering was put as Saturday so it has to be another day. I wish I could make a poll to see whether people wanted Friday or Sunday but I assume more people will be on the grounds Sunday then late Friday.

Sorry, I will not be attending due to other gatherings. I did not realize the day was changed to Sunday.

Might actually be switching to Rainbow Dash, but it depends on my group. Either way, I'll be attending! If it's alright I'll also probably have Sac Brony Expo flyers available for anyone interested. (I'm their Head of Art and Design.)

To all the Pinkie Pies cosplaying this weekend: There is a NO-BALLOON policy within the Convention center! I did not know this rule even myself and would have worn mine around. I'm sorry to say this but these are the rules so please leave the balloons outside!

To Clarify --- please No Lighter than air balloons (specifically helium filled balloons) --- if you are inside the convention center and these balloons get away from you and get stuck on the high ceilings or pop near the fire sprinklers it would have very unfortunate results!

We apologize for the inconvenience but a possible solution would be normal balloons filled with air at the end of a light plastic rod that would help give the appearance that one has a floating balloon.

I'm going as Travis Touchdown the Wii game No More Heroes wearing a pony shirt.

My girlfriend and I might show up to this. I'll be cosplaying as Shining Armor and she'll be cosplaying as Princess Cadence.

My boyfriend (list as JL, but he's not on the forums) will be reprising his Shadowbolt cosplay from last year.

Apparently, he felt bad that the rest of my group from last year weren't bringing back their pony cosplays, so he decided to tag along. What a guy~ <3

I had SO much fun at the gathering! There were so many amazing cosplays and awesome people!!!
