For me kind of, I'm still going to wear my cosplay outfit, but I got a tie that has the Union Jack *U.K. Flag* on it.

Well, last year I was thinking about it, but I was afraid that the dress I would wear was too long and would get immensely dirty and ripped. =.=;;

As for me I will be wearing fancy black pants, nice dress shoes, a white dress shirt, and maybe a jacket. But it got so hot in the dance last year I might just go with the dress shirt, and maybe a tie.

So I got a black Shaolin Monk Robe. Anyone know if that's acceptable? I'd prefer not to do the suit thing, cause it's just not that original since we're at Fanime and all.

Hmm, I wonder if they won't mind my red leopard print dress for gussied up Judy Nails. It's knee-length with elbow length sleeves. Either that or I'll look for my old prom dress or another knee length dress and go as Misa.
I'm not missing this for anything. I stayed the entire time last year, and it was the highlight of my con trip. I don't know what I will wear this year, though. Last year I just wore my cosplay (it was fancy), but that was totally impractical (strapless top + floor-trailing chiffon and ribbons + holding a masqerade mask), so I will probably wear either my junior prom dress from last year, or my senior ball dress from this year, depending on which one I end up liking better when I finish making this year's dress. This year's mask will strap on to my head, as well. :D
Maybe my Badtzu-Maru suit with a black Suit. :D

Hi, new to the event. ;) I plan on going as a gothic lolitia on Sunday and wear that to the ball, but I'm a bit confused. So are people going to wear their ball outfits through out the coarse of the day or will you have your cosplay on then change?
I'll be changing, there's no way I'm going to wear a dress shirt, dress pants, and dress shoes all day doing photoshoots.

I'll be going if I can find a dress. @_@. i could wear my acen charity ball dress, but its blue and black. I know the traditional B&W scheme inst a requirement....but I would like to be able to fit the color scheme. I have been searching ross twice a week. found once gorgeous dress, only if my chest was smaller V_V. I'll also have to decide to either wear a wig, which wig or what to do about my short hair(will be right above mf shoulder blades) . I haven't had short hair in ages (cutting 9 inches off for locks of love) and don't know what to do with it. As of right now its all up in the air.

I finally found my gown. i just cant gain any weight between now and then @_@. SO cute and totally jazzing up. That and I can re use my choice of gown for when I go to plays and ballet shows downtown ^_^.

and why would anyone want to do that when there is other cool stuff going on?
I guess the appeal is the chance to roleplay, or in a way act out a scene from an anime series like Ouran Highschool Hostclub or something. They typically teach dancing lessons earlier on in the day, and then you get to come back and show off your stuff.
seeing how I'm going as Saiga Tastumi/Speed Grapher, I think I'm already set if I have time to go. =)

Yeah depending on the day I'll be wearing a pair of black dickies, a white dress shirt, suit jacket, black tie, my fedora, and my lucky pair of pumas. STFU dress code my pumas are b&w and I'm going informal anyways tie loose, shirt not tucked in, a smoke on my ear, and chewing gum. why? cuz thats how I roll and thats how I'll end anyways. :D
I'm looking forward to attending the BWB this year; I missed it last year :( I will be wearing my ero/aristocrat lolita gown. Its black with fusha pink. I plan to attend alone and find a suitable dance partner.
i was going to wear my shinigami cosplay to the ball, but i guess i'll have to pack "nice" black clothes+fedora to wear.
Myself and my three roomies shall be going to the Ball this year. And we've all found wonderful formal wear for the event. I'm really excited for this since I never went to my prom ^__^
