Yep, looks like the vaccine requirement has been lifted (https://www.fanime.com/news/covid-19-vaccination-policy/) - just happy I can go again this year.

Good to know they've said the policy was the same there. I think you're right that I should just assume that it'll be the same until I hear otherwise (I don't think it's changed for the last couple of years at least so that's probably the safer thing for me to do).

Thanks!

Registration / 2024 COVID Policy

The website is still showing the policy from 2023; does anyone know if the policy is still going to be the same for next year?

I don't want to risk registering if I may not be able to attend due to that policy.

I sent through my feedback yesterday after confirming at the venue I was not able to attend (or get any kind of refund). For me, the biggest issue I've had overall here has been around comms in certain areas (or lack of it).

I'm not sure if I'll be coming back (or if I'll be allowed back, policy-wise) but at the very least I'm hoping that feedback is useful to the organizers to try and give a good experience to the attendees.

Live Programming and Events / Virtual Panels etc.

Hi,

I cannot attend the con in person so I was wondering if the panels or video programming rooms are available to view online as well if I have a valid pass?

I haven't seen any updates to the rollover section of the website so have just sent them an e-mail to find out what options there are (if anyone else is in the same place as me).

Thanks, @HunterZero - that seems a bit more conclusive there; sounds like the same policy as last year is still in effect this time.

Welp, I guess that means I can't go, in that case. I guess I'll wait and see what options I have to roll over (and hope things change for next time).

@Mods/Team - appreciate this policy is your decision as the hosts of a private event; is there anywhere that you've explained the reasons behind the policy choices here? (More out of curiosity than anything else)

Registration / 2023 COVID Policy

Hi,

I'd like to check if the COVID policy page is fully updated. I was surprised to see that full vaccination and boosters are still required (at this point it will mean I am unable to attend the event).

I noticed that the top half of the page looks updated (at least one date does) but the bottom half looks old and talks about rolling over to 2023 and deadlines to get in touch by May 29, 2022.

Can you confirm either way on this?

Thanks

I've kicked off the process with my bank now; still no response from any of the e-mail addresses I've tried (both the COVID one and the main one). Will keep folks posted on how it goes

I have now done the same - my claim is in the system

Not a peep here. Seeing as I've been trying for three months now, I'm also going to reach out to my bank after the holiday.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else on here; sent numerous e-mails to both their covidrequests and help e-mails with no response to any of them (in a chain now stretching back a little over two months).

I've sent one last e-mail today and if I don't hear back, I think I'm going to have to go down the chargeback route as well. I do still want to go but they don't seem to be making it easy!
