Hmmm you'd think the badge would be here by now since you mailed them on the 30th.. but I STILL haven't received mine yet >.< I hope it comes today or tomorrow, but I can't imagine it taking THIS long. I've been having bad luck lately with the post office. I really hope it's not lost >.<

I will be there again! I was Hina Ichigo ^^

However, I'm thinking of making Kanaria as that was the other one I've always wanted to do, so IF I have the time to do it after my other costumes are done, then I will be her, otherwise, I'll be Hina Ichigo again ^^

Yay Shugo Chara! I will be there for sure, but still deciding on which character I will be cosplaying. As it gets closer, I will let you know, although I'm kind of leaning towards Amulet Diamond.. We'll see though :D

Live Programming and Events / Re: Multi-part skit
June 01, 2009, 07:17:01 PM
The multi skit from a few years back, was NOT a skit entered in the masquerade (for the contest). It was supposed to be a special performance and that's it. However, for some reason, the heads made it get split up into 2 (or 3) parts, thus confusing a LOT of people and many people thinking it was entered in the contest and being extremely unfair. I think after that year, they officially made the "special performances" part of the masquerade, which I think is a great idea for those who do NOT want to enter the contest ^_^

I just wanted to say thank you to someone from the Artist Alley who randomly drew a rough sketch of my daughter who was cosplaying as Pichu. So if that was you, please let me know! I have no idea who it was and she didn't remember when we went back lol. I just thought it was really sweet for you to do that and then give it to her! We were on our way out and I guess you had stopped her to give it to her. She ran back to me and told me "look what I got?" as we were already gone. It's adorable! Thank you!

Ideas and Suggestions / Re: Swapmeet 2010
May 27, 2009, 09:38:08 PM
I completely understand about the dealers and all that, but I don't compare them at all. At least at my booth, I have things you CAN'T find in the dealers room, like the Sera Myu stuff and Hello! Project cds (thanks to those who bought this stuff!).

I like to look for things at the swap meet go with my oooold collections and I just can't find them in the dealer's room at all.

Anyways, it's up to the higher ups and I'm completely fine with Thurs and Friday, but of course I'll be happy with Saturday as well :) No complaints here.

So does anyone have pictures from this gathering yet?? Please post them here!

I think the problem is that swap meet could become competition for the dealers if it were more than two nights.

Doesn't the swap meet usually occur when the dealers room closes anyways? If that's the case, then it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I noticed a LOT of people around that weren't at the masquerade and other events, so this type of thing would work out well if it can be implemented.

Ideas and Suggestions / Re: The hug line
May 27, 2009, 04:28:49 PM
Honestly, I LOVE hugs and I thought the line was hilarious the first time I walked past..

However, I had my daughters with me and they were kind of scaring them as while they didn't come UP to them and stayed in their line, they did call out to them multiple times to get them to go over and get hugs.

Instead of hugging them, I blew kisses at them from the beginning of the line to the end lol.

Overall, I don't think it got out of hand when I saw it. I prefer to have a huge line like that towards the side, than clogging up walkways, getting in the way and glomping.

I agree about Changin' My Life, but aren't they broken up? If so, then just bringing myco would indeed be fabulous. I love her voice.

Also bring back Momoi and I would just DIE of happiness if SPEED ever came :D

Already MUCH better than last year! I almost didn't get in though because we came 10 min before it was closing and they were supposed to close off the line, but we got in before they did.. I almost cried! Thankfully the nice guy let us in because I had my daughters and I especially wanted to have my friend be my maid. And she was! And she was the best! Of course I am probably being biased here, being that she's my friend and all, but considering she lived in Japan and experienced these things, I think she was right on the money :D Thanks for making us and my girls very happy. A nice ending to a great weekend before going home *sob*

Momoi is so sweet and a bundle of energy. She really brings something to the con, so I agree on inviting her back! I was super sad not to be able to go to Music Fest this year (I thought it was on Sat for some reason).

Yeah and as a mother with kids, do strangers REALLY need to know my under 12 year old daughters' full names? No thanks. At the very least, fix it for the minors.

Swap meet ran smoothly, but wow what a big different Friday was to Thursday. We were SO jammed together on Friday that there was no room to sit down or keep our stuff. I think a little space in between the spaces that are back to back would be nice to sit or leave our empty containers.

And keep doing the pocket schedules. LOVED them! Came in very handy!

Hotel and Facilities / Re: Your Hotel Stay 2009
May 26, 2009, 12:28:09 AM
In previous years, I've stayed at either the Marriott or the Hilton. And while both of those hotels are great, I decided this year to try the Saint Claire. And the experience was great! They were very accommodating, extremely pleasant and my entire stay there was smooth as butter. The rooms were decent sized, but the best part is that it was quiet, and the elevators.. it was heaven.. lol since there aren't as many floors, I barely waited for the elevator. And then staying on the 2nd floor, me and my girls just walked down the stairs. Also comes with a refrig which is great. And then when I checked out, I wasn't ready to leave yet, so I was able to check my zillion bags/costumes/etc in until like 8pm or so, then I got my stuff and went home. I was very happy with the Sainte Claire. Oh and they have free internet access as well, although I didn't use it since I didn't bring my laptop. It's right next to the Marriott, so it's not out of the way at all.

Even still, next year I'll probably stay at the Marriott just because i like the convenience factor the most for my girls. And I'll try to get a suite as well. OR get a suite at the Sainte Claire. We'll see!
