I'm getting conflicting information about the use of a wagon to carry the goods and I don't see anything about this on the Agreement.  Is a small wagon that's foldable allowed?  We can even carry it by hand with 2 people if needed.

Something like this:
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81I3IZ61ryL._SX425_.jpg

Thanks!

Can we get clarification on this? Rules & Guidelines have no information listed on limitations of how to transport goods, and I'm hearing conflicting reports ranging from "You can only bring what you can carry" (which would mean I'd be out $80 as someone with a back problem who can't lift anything) to "As long as it doesn't obscure it's fine" (in which case I'd be relatively in the clear)

Any guidance would be appreciated. :)

If anyone took any pictures of me (I was the Sans who was in a wheelchair or on a cane 99% of the con this year) I would much appreciate being shown! My own camera is broken so I didn't get any good photos myself so hopefully someone else took a few!!

I did hear that Psycho Donuts banned(?) Homestuck cosplayers and I don't know the reasoning behind it but :/

Quote from: keitoghostie
I don't know if anyone is officially banned but I did have someone come up to me + the gathering organizer and demand we announce that "Psycho Donuts hates Homestucks" with no explanation of why (we refused because it's not really our place to say that), and also I've seen a couple downtown meetups that have explicitly said to not go there because of the reputation issues.
Quote from: MintyPockyRegarding the Psycho Donuts incident, apparently a group of 30-40 young Homestuck cosplayers went into Psycho Donuts and stole bottles of Faygo. These people are sadly a large majority of the fandom and are a big reason Homestucks get a bad name. Psycho Donuts is a place that we love to visit during meetups and my friends and I were extremely pissed that a bunch of morons ruined it for us. Since we felt bad, we decided to make an apology note and we collected about $15 to pay for the stolen goods. We weren't sure how much was stolen, but we hope it was enough to cover some of the cost. When we tried to give it to the cashier nurse, she was confused and tried to take the money back (I guess she wasn't working the same shift). However, she was very thankful to us and said she would post the note in the office.

Did they really ban us from going inside the store? When we gave them the note, two of my friends were dressed as trolls and they weren't asked to leave. I haven't seen any sort of official notice from Psycho Donuts either.

Hello! Friendly Neighborhood Psycho Donuts Employee here!

We have not banned our Homestuck friends from our stores. We have had issues with Homestucks in the past aside from the Faygo incident at Fanime this year - We've also had Homestuck cosplay groups show up during our Rocky Horror and The Room screenings, and while we're happy to let you sit in our lobby while you're waiting for your film, even if it's hours in advance, we do not like when body paint gets on our walls and movie theater seats so that we have to clean them (But we understand that the newer 'Stucks might not have learned the importance of sealing their bodypaint). We also don't like when we've had people dressed up and start making out/groping each in our store (but then, we really don't like anyone making out/groping in our store.) and we definitely don't like when people start throwing poppers on the floor in our store (which, unfortunately, Homestucks have been the only ones to do).

Given that our employees experience with Homestucks has been this, they can be a little weary, but we have by no means banned Homestucks. We're happy to have you in our stores as long as you act appropriately -- though we are fun and out-of-the-box, we are also a place of business.

And Minty - We still have that note in our office. We thought it was very nice of you guys to offer up and apology (and I even made a post about it on one of my tumblr accounts). We know that not all Homestucks are like that, we've just had the bad luck of dealing with those who, unfortunately, are. We refuse to let the minority spoil it for the majority.

Registration / PreReg Pick Up issue?

I pre-regged at-con last year. I don't remember what email I put it under, I moved so I not only lost my receipt, but I also have a different address on my ID now. I haven't seen any sort of electronic postcard.

I'm afraid no one will be able to find my badge this year? What do I do in this situation?

I never got an electronic postcard.... So I'm going to print out my invoice and hope that works. I:

Check your account. Log into registration.fanime.com

It should be there at least.

I can't seem to find it there either.
Only my invoice is there. :c

I hope this thread isn't dead. :(

I'm actually curious about getting in touch with "that hot guy" at Yaoi Bingo. For those who were there, he was one of most desired guys, and he and his friend worked at a Martial Arts booth iirc. Some girls bought more bingo cards solely to get the attention of that guy.

Now, you're probably asking why I want to know about this specific guy.

Well...
a - He was a damn brave soul.
b - He gave me good lulz when he straddled on this guy I knew who got tricked into going to Yaoi Bingo. That made my day.

Are we speaking of Pantene Boy? <3

I miss Fanime terribly.
It sucks living nearby and seeing the con center so devoid of life! D:

Most of my con friends I happen to go to school with, and if I don't (like if they live far, or I know them from these here forums) I'm friends with them on FB so at least I have that!

Next year needs to get here faster though!

Well, I'm just in it for the harem. Lol. Jk. XD

You need to post this on your facebook so I can like it.
I was in like 3 harems this year.
Crazy.

Alright then. I guess we have our team for next year! XD

And Jade was Worried about not having enough volunteers :3

Is helping out a speed dating event just to be around single girls a bad thing?
Nope.
If anything, it makes you look cool, 'cause you're helping an event.

At least, I think so.

Next year i was thinking of seeing if we could get 6 2.5 hour blocks.

2 18-24 age range blocks on friday
2 24+ blocks on saturday
then 1 Lesbian block and 1 Gay block on Sunday.

Wow.
I went to 'like' this, then realized this wasn't facebook.
I feel like a failure.

The age range thing is good since a lot of people (myself included) do take age into consideration sometimes.
Being queer friendly is also awesome, I have so many friends interested in it, but swing for the other team so they couldn't join in the fun! I think we should be equal opportunity.

I liked the hotel itself - the only problem was the fridge being gone.

I saw the amenities and was disappointed in the lack of microwave, but could have sworn there was a fridge...
I relied on that fridge, so when there wasn't one we ended up having to fill our bathtub with ice to keep things cold, melting it when we needed showers, and then re-filling it.

It was quite the hassle.

But the hotel and it's staff were all lovely otherwise.

^Maybe YaoiCon. Haven't decided yet.
<Is going on an adventure!
>Is also going on an adventure, I'm leaving for Japan July 4-14! On a side note, Captain LOLpants, remind me to ask my friend about the sack boy accessory doll thing (He was the sack boy carrying it). We're going to lunch on Friday, maybe I'll ask him then. :D
V Did you stay in a hotel during Fanime? Which one?

this year was fun
met some new ppl and watnot
even tho it was kinda hectic wit fanime bein on the same night
but yay for new friends! :D

hopefully its better organized next year and watnot =/
Haha. Yeah. XD
I don't know if Ash_chan told you but I was the staff that checked in the men.
The disorganization thing was on me. Jade and I were both new to it, but it was especially me, who had not seen the set-up last year.
My epic fail. DX
It was a good thing there was someone who came in and gave us good ideas to incorporate. He became an unofficial volunteer.
It went much better on Sunday despite my raspy voice.

To anyone who attended, please share more of your input, so next year can be better, if it happens.

I did.
I also told her to be totes jelly because we had oodles of noodles of fun without her.
:)

YOU...should have told me what to do! I told you I could help~ I just couldn't like...run the whole thing.
NEXT YEAR JUST LET ME KNOW.
I'm more than willing to be a helper~
<3
Heheh. When I saw you having so much fun I couldn't bring myself to take you away from that. XD

You should have that second time around.
Wasn't quite as fun, but that's because I knew 2 of the guys in there [and I was trying to avoid one of them].
Next year I am at your disposal, sir!
