actually it also happened in artist alley registration so.. that too isn't the only line con!!!!!

As a last minute staff member for swap meet last year, I can't say much has changed drastically except for the location, and the assignment process. It used to be that the spots were first-come, first serve, but they are now randomly assigned to prevent combining spaces into a "super-space" and to prevent vendors from abusing the swap meet.

Also, the location is always a work in progress. I think every year we get great feedback on where it is and how we can improve access...last year's swap meet (in case you missed it) had GIGANTIC lines. Line-con wasn't at registration, it was at swap meet. As for this year, we'll just have to see.

there is a sign up and it is first come first serve.. but as of now there is NO known information fact about swap meet..

Last year swap meet was made 1 week before fanime! and we are soo lucky to have swap meet appear last year!

AOD is using the Lottery system....and something called "PREMIUM tables" / "regular tables"
I think i had more luck with the first come/first serve system then the lottery. now this year we have more new artists coming to fanime this year, i fear traffic will shut down like how Housing has done.

Fanime 2015 WILL STILL BE using the jury system as before...so my chances are still high but the same time LOW. Since my response from AA was: "We don't have enough tables / we don't have enough space"

The price for moscone is very expensive, and hotels WILL be more pricier than the ones in san jose!.. ALSO even though it's bigger, the venues are going to be hard to seperate from each other.

The biggest problem is traffic, and Raised ticket price!....

MOscone is nice, but i don't think i want to experience another horrible moment like wondercon did! (when san francisco held that)

waitlist never becomes public at all..
its better to have it secretly, but if you manage to be in the waitlist, there may be a slight chance you could get in.

Hey, having one hotel is alot better than having NO hotel!
theres always the room sharing thread but I am guessing you like it better off living in a hotel you admire so much (cannot blame you).

• Introduction:
Hello my name is hachimitsu (Male - Age 32) and I would like to let you know I book a hotel and I have a few friends wanting to stay over.

As of now, I am slowly steadily preparing myself for fanimecon (along with several other conventions).
I really do love to play video games, Cosplay and love to draw. There are times where i had some great success's with artist alley and miserable moments like ....artist alley.
Apparently Swap meet always cheered me up but whenever i got the chance to be the seller, I usually ask the people from my room mates to "HELP ME".

Last year was a blast, but the same time it also created some mixed Feelings on "enjoyment".
I really hope next year will be a better improvement than 2014, but all in all, it wasn't a complete disaster.

My huge interests are:
Kingdom hearts, Legend of Zelda, Magi (because of the genies), Sailor Moon, Pokemon and anything nintendo/sega related.

• Parking access? (this needs to be researched though but i heard its $60 for the entire week but this was last years response)
- Microwave (i'm going to try and ask for one, since I hear this was more of a request service)
- A video game console (still undecided what console I should bring)
- Art / Crafting Supplies
- MORE PLUG OUTLETS!!!(seriously I noticed last year i have no power space T_T)
* Food/snacks (it's still undecided but I need to get something for you guys to have and eat!

I know this is expensive to you but to me, your helping paying the hotel, followed by having your very own key as well
however, Do not pay me yet (right now I am working and trying to calculate some things here and there)

UPDATE
as of now I can only fit ONE more person but again, I cannot confirm who is going and who is not, so far I am still trying to apply for floor plans here and there.. and so far I think I a running out of space!... The hall space i know is one area I want to claim, because the bed was design for those who have problems sleeping or partially disability.
I am still awaiting confirmation from misachan!

I think what has happened is because of the internet cache that was left over, resulting to have people think they reserved it but didn't!

Also I got another error saying THIS::

There was a problem adding your reservation. (lock failed on may 22 2015 12:00am. system reports: locking this night would result in oversold inventory). Please call fanimecon housing at (INSert ####) if you need further assistance.

this was written after i tried to get the san jose marriot for friday to monday!

sorry to hear that. Yeah I ACTUALLY did the full part of this registration and I WAS VERY certain I have the marriott with me on my account, but when it gets checked out..

THIS year was really difficult... I find it to believe the PHONE LINES are MUCH easier to get into. So as of now I have a hotel for my sister and myself at the hyatt.. only downside is that SHE has the thursday while mines is on friday!...

Fanime hotel registration Is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT that I am beginning to worried how Anime expo hotel registration is the same difficulty as Fanime! (with all the shut downs and what nots!)

as of now.. getting a hotel registration should be easier to apply for but sadly only one hotel remains since fairmont, hilton and Marriott are sold out!

as of now im trying to contact Housing for two informations.. ONE is the hotel registration i already booked is confirmed or not and the other is...well.. its kinda obvious -_-!.. Plan B..

YEAH I FIND IT TO BELEIVE THIS YEAR the PHONE SYSTEMS was EASIER to get into than the webpages~!....

i was soo close getting the marriot T_T!!!! :'(

okay this is bad.. Marriott is sold out and so far I BARELY gotten the hotel from somewhere else.. sadly, the PHONE operators DID A BETTER JOB than the website itself!!!!!

I also manage to get my badge paid.. sorta O_O! i think but when it inolves with checking out with the hotel..it just leave me with

## HOTEL REGIST ### on the top of my badge!

update:: 
by the time it was 3:15pm, the hotels for marriot sold out! but thats what i heard from my end!

sadly the badges now are for those who want to sell their merchandise..
Last year was LAST minute..
it's really upsetting that the last years before for swap meet that it hasn't gotten any attention to any of the staff members of fanime.

The guy who was incharge did his best to bring it to the auditorium (i think thats what it was called).

Also last fanime's (2014) swap meet rules changed when family members has to be split apart. I find this abit dissapointing so hopefully this rule is removed on 2015 (that is if there ever is another swap meet to happen!)

as of now, i think the web developer teams are working hard to get things through.

If I KNow them the most problem they had issue is for them to test if things go through...
its already been 50 minutes adn the only available button that was loaded was during registration.

it's going to be a while but I really advise you follow their twitter/facebook.

I don't want to be left in the dark again like they had when they annouced a backdoor to get in!

to be honest, I did not receive ANY emails from both swap meet AND artist alley.. only the registration email of confirmed guests going with me.

Artist alley: i am table sharing with someone so I am not sure how this works since the Main artist is going to arrive late

Swap meet: I only got an email confirming my payment.. that is all..

Okay I ask registration about the badge pick up but I did NOT recieve a response back!

however I got a response from artist alley that my badge pick up will be EARLY in the morning (10am @ thursday)...
Located on the new ball room...
( i cannot be sure nor confirm this but this was on  from my table partner (he is in charge )

I also signed up for swap meet and I wasn't sure if swap meet is going to hold our badges or not!

Also I have a group registration sooo...
GETTING TO THE POINT HERE

WHERE THE HELL DO I PICK UP BADGES SINCE I SIGN UP THREE DIFFERENT METHODS (group, Artist vender and SWAP meet vender!)
