As gigantor said, it's easier to look at it as 2 payments. Sadly, it's not just $100 extra it's $100 a night extra. So if you're staying there for 4 nights that's a $400 deposit. Like gigantor said it will be given back to you after you check out so you'll get the money back. It's just unfortunately a large hold.

I would like to sell/trade as much of this manga possible. A lot of this manga I just grew tired of. I have a couple more I shall add later. I would like to do all trades at Fanime, if you want things mailed to you I can look into it if it's for a single book otherwise, right now it's not likely since my work hours stop me from going to a post office when it's open.

Fanime room booked successfully! Huzzah!

Ok, this is OUTRAGEOUS! All the hotels are charging $100 per night deposit??? I booked at the Fairmont at $89...so that means the freaking deposit is more expensive than the price of actually staying there! We're not made of money, you know. Fanime's already driven up their prices for reg to obscene levels, now the hotel crap?

This is my first time booking a hotel for Fanime, but my understanding is that deposits will range from x min. to $100/per night. Still though the deposit business is making me nervous.

We need someone from Fanime to confirm this. I booked the Fairmont at $89/per night, Thursday-Friday. With tax, it'll come to about $380. So for 4 nights, the deposit is $400. How the hell do you get a hotel that charges more for the deposit than the stay? That makes NO SENSE!!!

I've stayed at the Fairmont a couple of years back, every hotel has a different deposit. Fairmont's has been $100 a night since I stayed there 3 years ago. Most other hotels near the con are at a $50 deposit. You'll get the money back once you check out. A bit pricey but it's expected.

I'll be purchasing for a group and one of my mates didn't give me the money in time. Can I add someone to a group later, or does the full group have to be registered all at once?

I do groups every year, you can register people into your group whenever doesn't have to be all today. If they don't register for pre-reg with the rest of the group though you will have to go to the early reg line to pick theirs up. At least that's how it's been in the past for me.
