Despite the long horrible lines at Pre-reg, a HUGE shout out to the staff who helped out with the horrible lines. At some point the kids behind me invited friends and made a huge blob around me that went into the next line over. One of the staff came by and organized them behind me again. I swear those kids were trying to mob their way to the front slowly. Thank you for all the hard work con staff and volunteers!

I really might be an odd ball but I really dislike Homestuck, not because of the series itself, but because one specific acquaintance in my life was a very annoying fan of a lot of things who simply spoiled a lot for me.  Even with all my dislike... I honestly had no issues with the Homestuck fandom. If anything they were more behaved this year than last year, sure there were a lot of them in numbers but they like their series what are we going to do about it?

If we stop Homestuck from attending fanime we stop other series from coming too like Doctor Who, The Avengers, The Legend of Korra, Xmen, etc etc. The homestucks didn't bother me at all this year, if anything they were pretty damn polite with their huge number of fans.

Sa-chan from Gintama on Sunday (I'm pretty darn sure I was the only Sa-chan at the entire convention on Saturday)
and Morgiana from Magi on Sunday (I had an Alibaba with me not sure how much that helps lol.)

This year was alright, there was not a lot I was hyped up for but my one gathering really. I was the leader for my pre-reg group and I got there around 4:30pm. I was in line for 6 hours in front of a really huge group of loud high school kids to kept bumping into me and bringing friends into the line.

Honestly, I miss when Pre-reg and early-reg were separate lines. I waited faar too long to get my badge. I was tired and having loud high school kids behind me for 6 hours did not help. When I got into the second to last room I also noticed there were a dozen new people behind the guy I was told to remember who was originally in front of me from the outside lines. The lady in front of me said she'd just followed the line, somehow she managed to get into the 2nd to last room without having to wait in the whole line.

One more thing about the lines, having to pick up badges in different lines when picking up for a group is the worst idea. I had to go into 5 different lines for the badges I was picking up. I saw another girl next to me picking up for 8 people. I wish they would put all the badges who are under a group with the group leaders name. It was quite ridiculous having to go into 5 separate lines when I was already exhausted.

All the people that knew who Sa-chan was on Saturday and took pictures of me or with me I LOVE YOU GUYS ;-; made me so happy!

Another important question, if the pocket guide only going to be virtual or is it going to be printed this year? As someone without a smartphone, it was really tough last year with the virtual pocket guides.

I am so excited!!!! I made the Magi Gathering 2013 sign last night. If you get lost look for Mor with the sign! It has a fun drawing of Alibaba and Aladdin on it. I wanted to take a picture of it last night but it was 2am and I can't find my camera ;-;

Every year seems a bit iffy on the weather. 2 years ago it rained one Saturday evening but the weather was generally nice the rest of the days. Last year the weather was nice. Let's hope this year will be too.

Stayed up till 2am, drinking coffee at work... everyones voice sounds fuzzy O__O.

Lol, I tend to last minute things, just finished my bf's cosplay last night, also stayed up till 1am packing and looking for all the parts to my cosplays.

*unpacking* Still can't find spoons at new place... eat cereal with fork again :|

The first convention I ever wanted to go to was Anime Expo, before I knew about Fanime. I was going to be in LA with my parents anyway. I started with explaining what I wanted and then what it was. Explain how you'll make sure you'll be safe, and reassure them with where they can call if anything happens and all the info they need. For the first time around, let them know they can come with you if they want to check it out.

Even with all this, it is possible they'll still say no, just try to convey how much it means to you.

I should really get my PG&E account at my new apartment, I will need electricity soon...

Going to start buying some snacks/drinks to have while in the line thursday, last time I got hungry and thirsty and the vending machine prices were too crazy @_@.

I work with smartphones and tablets at work but I don't have either personally .__. my first week on the job was quite interesting.

I realllyyyy want chocolate right now.
