Be courteous, and respectful. Proper english is highly recommended for people to take you seriously.
Research prior to posting about a topic is recommended too, only for your benefit.
*Edit Dec 14* After rewriting the rules, I forgot to also put back the "one liner posts are discouraged, and I have the choice to ask you to elaborate on your post, obviously you can choose not to, but I may lose some respect as a reader in future readings"
*5/11 update* If I feel a discussion is going nowhere, I have the choice to lock it. If you really want to express your opinion, you can PM me (or sysadmin) with what you want to reply with (usually if you have an opinion laid out and details I'll unlock it for you.)
Nothing much outside of the global rules, other than to remember that this is a board for discussing Meetings, Gatherings, and Get Togethers, so yes drama can be involved with these events. If something does happen, you are allowed to post it. This does not mean blowing up a thread with the drama. Remember, there is always having the choice of going through private messages, or just flat out ignoring the person who posted. Think wisely.
If you find anything that is obviously wrong, shoot me a PM, I really wish I don't have to actually say this, but some people would rather let it sit and rot.
It's a DS game where you take care of a bear loli and interact with her. It's a mini "The Sims" basically, but she's a lot more independent, you just have to make money to buy items to entertain her. I haven't been able to stop playing it since I got it.
Has anyone seen it? It recently was subbed in English for those of us not gifted in being able to understand moonspeak. I thought it was pretty awesome, and made me cry manly fucking tears. High Quality Jesus Beam and Muso Hyakuretsuken was pretty awesome. And why does every pressure point that drastically changes the body make them suffer a fuckton of pain and make them scream for 2 minutes?
Anyone wanna play. I play on Skulltag online and zdaemon once in a blue moon. I go by Mizuki on skulltag and Loli-hunter on zdaemon. Anyone also wanna play some DM or co-op AV.wad or something at fanime? I can bring a router or something that'll have like 4 plugs.
I don't really know where to post this, so if an admin has a problem with it, it's alright.
I know the past 2 years tournaments have been made for the RTS/Guitar Hero and other console games, but I've always been disappointed with the lack of FG tourneys. IIRC 2k6 had a SC3 tourney, and that was all. I'd like it if staff considered tournaments for Fighting Games. I know quite a few people who go to Fanime love fighting games (I sometimes went out in the middle of the night to play some CvS2 last year.) I'm also willing to donate some of my own personal time to run tournaments if need be (Staff, if you can PM me about this, that would be nice) i.e. Melty Blood, CvS2, Arcana Heart.
This coming Fanime I'm thinking of making a panel about 2d fighters. I'll be talking about:
Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo (ST) Street Fighter Alpha 2 (SFA2) Vampire Saviour (VS) SNK vs Capcom: Match of the Millennium (SvCMotM) Marvel vs Capcom 2 (MvC2) Capcom vs SNK 2 (CvS2) Guilty Gear XX ^ccent Core (GG^C) Melty Blood Act-Cadenza (MBAC) Arcana Heart (AH)
These are the games (IMO) greatly impacted the 2d fighting game scene. Yes yes I missed some, like Samurai Showdown, TMNT Tournament Fighter, Art of Fighting and many more. If time/resources allow it, I'll also allow exhibition challenge matches in: -ST (PS2 Capcom Classics Collection 2) -CvS2 (PS2) -MBAC (Ver. B PC)
Maybe if I actually get unlazy/motivated and learn these games: -AH (PS2, Full! characters only) -GG^C (PS2, region not decided yet)
If you know you want to challenge, just post up in what game, so I can incorporate time, or have a question, or just tell me that I'm awesome for doing this, go ahead, I appreciate it.
Okay, thanks PyronIkari for giving me a heads up it's an hour timeslot (I was not informed of the limited amount of time)
Anyways I'll convert this panel into a panel focusing on Melty Blood Act-Cadenza (I am at an anime con...)
I'll just go over basics, It's very small history, players and the like. If time really allows it I'll have an exhibition match, or two.
