So this year, I decided to try karaoke for the very first time. Of course, I had to choose a more difficult song to make a fool of myself with. I decided to sing Sono Chi No Sadame. Though it felt like I wasn't that great, people were loving it (I'm sure it was just because of the song). Unfortunately I didn't get someone to record it for me, so I was wondering if anyone happened to have video of karaoke on Sunday night, preferably of my performance of course since I'm curious as to how I did, regardless of what people said. I know there was one person that was recording, but for all I know he just has it for putting on his personal social media or w/e.

I wanted to try and get some contact info from a couple of the artists from AA for other commissions, so I thought I'd create this thread for anyone else who'd want to do the same. There was an artist who was selling a Hobbes doll from Calvin & Hobbes. I was interested in buying it in the near future. There was another artist that made a picture of GLaDoS and a bird which I bought (will post a pic of it later for clarification). I was wondering if said artist had other Portal or other video game pics and maybe browse through an anime pic selection if there was one. If anyone has contact info I can get on either artist, it would be greatly appreciated.

Recently I took someone's advice and checked out as much as I could about this anime still in development. Despite the trailer being super short (seriously, it isn't even half a minute long), I'm looking foward to this series. The director from Witch Hunter Robin and the screenplay writer from Samurai Champloo and GitS:SAC are working on this with manglobe, so I'm expecting this to be a hell of a series. Any thoughts?

This thread is pretty much for anyone who wants to talk about the GitS series/movies and anything relating to either (i.e. music, games, etc.).

I just recently bought my special edition Vol. 1 of the second season. I've only watched one episode so far since Bleach has been taking up my time to watch anime, but I can already tell that it's gonna own me once again. I wonder what exactly happened to Serano and wheter or not the Laughing Man will make another appearance?(if you already know, don't tell me!) It'll be interesting to see how Section 9's missions are handled now as well. It would also be nice to see some episodes involving more of the other characters like Paz, Boma, Ishikawa, and Saito. I love the opening sequence too, it gets me pumped. Origa does it again. =D> The soundtrack is just as sweet (all of the music was composed by Yoko Kanno). BTW, anyone here already seen the entire 2nd season? Just curious...

Has anyone seen this movie? I believe it was supposed to be in select theaters, but I forget when. Looks interesting, but I thought I'd get a couple of opinions first. It's supposed to have some gorgeous animation.

Well, here's my situation. I was looking for some DVDs on eBay for a couple of anime series and I noticed that some of them had all of the series' episodes on around 2-3 discs. Now, I've noticed that the majority of them were Japanese audio, English sub (which I now prefer since Fanime) which means that they could be imported and the series on 2-3 discs is how it's done in Japan. Is this possibility true or not, or are these DVDs not the official releases (burned onto DVDs or something)?

BTW, the anime I was looking up were GitS:SAC, FMA, Lain,and Haibane-Renmei.

I'm just curious to know what people are talking about when they mention these, along with Bishie and Otaku.
