Since I always need to be certain, I'd like to know if my songs are eligible.

I'm using this fan instrumental of Kaze ni Naru, but with the lead guitar part taken out. It sounds a lot like the original but I'm unclear if fan songs are okay.

My second song is kind of a similar situation, it's not the original because I just couldn't find an official instrumental. Instead it's one of those karaoke knock-off versions with an electronic instrument that plays along with the melody.

I have a song eligibility question. In the rules it says the English version lyrics of a song from anime or video games is acceptable but I just want to be completely certain since I've never picked a dubbed song before. Is the English version of "Jump Up Superstar" from Mario Oddyssey acceptable for the contest?

Oh I really hope they don't skip it this year. Figures, I've been saving a song as my final song for years, and the year I decide to sing it in the preliminary, it might not happen at all.

Cool, I'm glad I was still able to sign up! I wasn't sure if I could make it on Friday but now that I know I can, I was hoping I could still sing. Been doing this for maybe five years now.

One song must be from an anime? I was gonna do a couple Idolm@ster songs, which come from the games. There is an Idolm@ster anime though, so does that count?

This will be my first time in the karaoke contest as well.  I love karaoke a lot but never participated in any kind of singing contest before.  Good luck to everybody!

Are you allowed to use the karaoke version with official harmonies from the original?

I'd like to know this too.  I was playing around with Audacity and managed to almost eliminate the main singer of a song I'm using, but the harmony singers still come in clear.

Is there going to be a Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen/Clash of Ninja tourny?  If not, could we at least have a game running sometime during the con?  I was disappointed with its disappearance last year.

I'd also like to suggest a Super Smash Bros Melee tournament.  I don't know how popular Melee is anymore, but I like it a lot better than Brawl.

Did anyone here take my picture?  I was the pokemon Gallade, walking around during the first couple days of the con.  I was at the pokemon gathering too.  I know there was one other Gallade but he was more of a gijinka than trying to look like the real one.
