I've decided its time to release some level of info about the upcoming tournaments we will have having.
Remember, none of this is official until we say it is. We are doing this thread to see what's "hot" out there and prepare prizes accordingly. Also, this thread is also here to discuss possible tournament styles/rules, so we can keep everything within one thread if possible.
The following list is what have either considered or require a interest check:
Console Tourny'sSoul Calibur 3 (US PS2)
Naruto GNT 4 (US or Import GC)
Halo 2 (US XBOX1)?
Super Smash Brothers Melee (US GC)
Guility Gear X2 #Reload (XBOX, with the possiblity of XBOX -> PS2 converters)
PC Section Tourny'sNone at this time, because of site license requirements. However, we do have a "list"
Warcraft III with Frozen Throne
-A possible DoTA map tournament as well, if we think this is possible.
Handheld PSP/DS Tourny'sNeed some suggestions =)
Need a interest gauge checkTekken 5 (US PS2, just checking to make sure)
Guitar Hero (PS2, need more info)
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (XBOX360 most likely)

yea, this is the one that (most) people didn't want. Guilty Gear X2 #Reload is the better one for the XBOX. as for "Slash", a U.S. console release is highly unlikely before the con, if at all

I give a thumbs up for the Tekken 5 tournament, but I'd like to play GGX2/Reload than Isuka.
Fixed the Guility Gear game....I knew the name wasnt right, but wasnt totally sure about it.
Tekken 5 is in our lists, but for some reason I just dont see the interests as much like last year. I must of been asking the wrong people...

Oh yeah, and SC3 too. Is it really confirmed that it's gonna be SC3 and not 2?
Right now I'd be interested in tournaments for SC3, GGXX #R, and...well that's it. T5 I'm not so interested in right now. Still waiting for either 5.1 or DR for console, most likely DR if it becomes a console release. Also for future reference, provided the site license requirements get settled and whatnot, I'd be interested in UT2k4 and Starcraft:BW for PC tourneys.
I'm interested in the SC3 and SSMB touneys...

I've also adjusted the list accordingly with some updates.

It would be cool if you guys had Halo 2. And maybe Counter-Strike for PC Gaming.

What do people think about bemani console gaming in tournaments? I propose we can do un-official tourneys for:
- Beatmania IIDX (JP ver PLEASE not the soon-to-be-released US ver)
- Pop'n Music Iroha (comes out in march)
- DDR: Strike (ships in two weeks)
- Karaoke Revolution: Anime Songs Collection (cmon' you know you would)

I'd love to see a SSMB tourney this year. I don't think there was one in 2005. A SSMB team tourney (2v2) would be pretty sweet too..
I'd play DOTA as well if there is a tourney for it. Think there's a chance of this happening? Unfortunately DOTA is a 10 player game.. can't really get by with any less like in FPS.
Halo2 oh yeah that would rock. maybe a team tourny to get people to interact with eachother and what not. oh maybe Dead Or Alive 4! would also rule.

For Nintendo DS... You have to have Metroid Prime Hunters. It's like the best Wi-Fi game that is a first person shooter for the Nintendo DS. Tom Clansy is alright but Metroid Prime Hunters is my kind of thing... BOOM! Headshot....
How bout NGNT4 get some love :D I would love for it to come out and has been a successful tournament game as of late and would be good to do...
How about Tetris DS (my new addiction)? I love tetrinet and this game reminds me quite a bit of it. I just wish I could hit my stride again in piece dropping. I never could break the 100ppm in tetrinet2 though :(. Only averaged 85 or so.
I'm planning on having a private gaming room at the con. So if the console room gets too crowded people can still play some vs games at the con. Since I got only 1 JPN PS2 I can only rotate games hourly. If there are enough people then there will be touney on some games. Here are some titles that'll be at the priavate gaming room.

Jump superstars would be a good tournament game for a handheld. I think next D.O.N will be popular (Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Naruto)

Yeah, it's probably too late for this to make a difference, but I second that. 2 vs 2 would be very interesting, as would "normal" tourney for SSBM :D
